A Villanelle Poem

As the sun kissed the ocean goodnight,
It was the sky that blushed deep red,
Enarmoured by this gorgeous sight.

In this late summer light,
"I'd never leave you," she said,
As the sun kissed the ocean goodnight.

It felt like years, their love shined bright,
Beautiful memories in his head,
Enarmoured by this gorgeous sight.

Dark clouds gave them both a fright.
And by the sky, heavy tears were shed
As the sun kissed the ocean goodnight.

Would it stop this endless fight?
With umbrella, but sadness spread
Enarmoured by this gorgeous sight.

Late summer hope with all its might
For them a renewed thread,
As the sun kissed the ocean goodnight,
Enarmoured by this gorgeous sight.
