Tempus hated what he was. People were scared of the unknown and he was about as unknown as it got. He also despised the shifting. Not only was it painful, but also he hated not having control over what he did or said. He was, however, grateful to have found someone that excepted him and his twin for who they were. Starr was his one and only, his literal star in an endless abyss of pain and rejection.

It was now Autumn. Starr was worried about when to inform Tempus of his child but decided to try and do so as soon as possible as at the beginning of each change he was most himself. Also, should they decide to get rid of it... She stopped her thoughts there. "No," she told herself. "No matter the cost, I will not let an innocent life die, besides, there is nothing physically wrong with me, and should Tempus disagree with my decision, my mother will be supportive and help..."
But for some reason, she held off telling him. She didn't understand why, but she didn't. She greeted him and helped him with anything he required; shifting took a lot out of him.

It was not before they had dinned and were preparing to go to bed that she decided to tell him. As they snuggled up under the covers, Tempus seemed calm, so she turned over and faced him. Starr took a deep breath and sighed.
"Babe..."
Tempus smiled and kissed her nose gently

"Yes?..."
Starr took a shaky breath and said:

"Remember when we, you know, uuuh"

He smiled again and shushed her with a kiss. 

"Yes, I remember, sorry for being so rough by the way, I meant to be gentle, but it was Summer..." He trailed off.

"Yes, yes, umm... About that..."
Starr prepared herself for the worst response.
"Tempus-I'm-pregnant-and-scared-and-please-don't-be-mad-I-still-love-you!"
She burst out in a blur. Tempus stared at her for a moment, oddly calm. Seeing this, Starr relaxed.

All of a sudden his hair turned red and he let out a roar of anger. Starr jumped and ran to the opposite side of their room and cowered in the corner.
"HOW COULD YOU??!?!? I TRUSTED YOU!! AND YOU GO AND SLEEP WITH ANOTHER MAN??!?!?" Tempus screamed, tears streaming down his almost purple face.

"No, no Tempus, there is no one else but you! I would never cheat, I love you, the baby is yours!"

"HOW COULD IT BE?!?!? MY KIND HAS NEVER HAD CHILDREN BEFORE!! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!"

"WELL WHAT IF THAT'S JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO? NO OTHER SEASON HAS EVER BEEN IN A RELATIONSHIP, HAVE THEY?" Starr was scared now, very scared. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and her voice was hoarse from crying and screaming.

Tempus fell silent. As suddenly as he had started screaming, he subsided and he crumpled into a heap on their bed, hugging his knees and crying. Starr crawled over and engulfed him in a bear hug, sobbing also.

"D-d-do you-do you- w-wanna k-k-keep it-t?" She whisper-sobbed into his shoulder.

"I-I..." Tempus stuttered. He closed his eyes, sighed, and telepathically asked Annos if she would take over control for a day or so. She replied, asking what was wrong. He mentally sighed and told her that "I'll tell you as soon as we've worked it out" And with that, he shut Annos out and felt his Season leave him to go and join her.

He sighed and wiped his tears away. Starr was still sniffling into his shoulder. He held her head close and stroked it, savoring the feeling of his hands caressing her silky hair. Once he had regained his composure, he spoke again. "I-" He sighed again, took a minute and began again. "I know that you're right. And are telling the truth. I know you love me, and I want you to know I love you too. No matter what I say, or do, I love you. And," he moved his hand to Starr's abdomen. "I love our babe too. It's not up to me, but if it was, I would ask to keep it. But it's your body, and it's up to you" Starr's tears had subsided and she looked up at him as he finished. Again she sniffed. 

"I," she paused and sighed. "I'm not sure," she placed her hands on top of Tempus'. "I really don't know. I mean, I've always wanted a child, but when I met you, I knew I loved you, but I wasn't sure if I could have a child with you. I always thought we'd adopt, but after we were older and we'd had some us time, you know? I love you too, and I think I love bub here as well. I think I want to have a bub, a baby that is really ours. So yes, I will keep it" And with that, Tempus kissed her passionately and pulled her down to the covers with a shriek from Starr and a chuckle from him.
