After ten minutes, the match was still on. The match was very competitive. Though it was just a friendly match, they were playing like as their lives depend on it. The scores were 21(sisters)- 23(brothers). Nicolo was very strict with the rules like he was really doing a referee job in National Basketball championship. There was a last-minute left for the match to get over and the sisters were two points behind. All of them were depending on Anna for her three-pointers at the end minute.

Daniel had the ball and was dribbling forward but Jasmine came on defence and tried to snatch the ball from him.

"No Jassie, you're not gonna get the ball this time." He said cheekily as he dribbled the ball side to side trying to get past through her.

"Daniel!"Jasmine called him with the most longing in her voice making his attention distracted from the game and furrowed his eyebrows at her, still dribbling the ball.

"I'm Pregnant!" She lied.

"What!" And yes, Daniel always being the sweetest BFF, believed her immediately. Jasmine being the clever one, took the opportunity of his shocked state and grabbed the ball from him and ran past by him, dribbling the ball but soon Alesso came to the defence.

"Ciao, Bella!" He attempted for the ball but Jasmine quickly passed it to Sarah to which Sarah gripped it between her hands firmly and dribbled forwards towards the goal. But she was trapped between when Roberto and Daniel double defence her.

"Sarah!" Anna shouted from behind from the middle court and gestured her to pass the ball at her since she was open. Sarah passed the ball at her, as soon as she firmly gripped the ball between her hands, she hold on the position to shoot the ball.

"That's impossible!"

"Not for her!"

"Do it, Anna!"

"There you go, Anna!"

The crowd started to shout while Anna focused on the goal and throw the ball in the air towards the goal. It was a perfect silent shot. Everyone watched Anna in complete astonishment. Nicolo, who was the first one to recover from this amazement, whistle the last blow and end the match. The sisters won with the scores of 24-23.

"Anna, that was areally beautiful shot!" Alesso came running towards her and complimented her in full wonderment.

"Dang! These sisters are really a badass." Roberto smiled. "Excellent shot, Anna." He showed her the sign of thumps up.

"That was just wow," Nicolo couldn't help himself from hugging her, Anna was shocked for a moment but then she decided not to upset him by pushing him away.

"Thank you, Nicolo." She said awkwardly patting twice on his back.

"Nicolo, rilasciala adesso," Leo said lowly and immediately Nicolo pulled away from her. Anna didn't understand what Leo said to him but she guessed it. 

Was he scolding Nicolo for hugging me, She thought.

"Sei guloso di tuo fratello?"

"No!"

"Lei non si sentirà a suo agio." Leo reasoned and soon he received a call from his father and excused himself.

"I'm sorry, Anna. I was just so impressed by your shot that I couldn't refrain myself from hugging you."

"It's okay, Nicolo. I really appreciate it."

"We need to go." Leo came and informed glancing at his brothers. "Papa called. Nonno, ha avuto un ictus."

Though Anna didn't understand anything, the worry in his tone didn't go unnoticed from her.

"Is everything alright?" she couldn't help but ask.

"Sì. See you later, mio coure." Leo answered. His brothers looked at him amusedly and then to Anna but before they could tease the both of them, Leo sharply look at them. "Non osare, Adiamo." He warned and walked away.What did he just call me now? She asked inwardly.

"Addios," Alesso said with a smile but his smile didn't reach to his face. They nod at them before turning away.

"I think we should get going too. See you later in class, Daniel!" Jasmine said.

After retreating back home, they had their breakfast and went off for their own works. Anna was the last one to leave home. She locked the house and marched for the store. She did some deliveries duty in the morning. And right now, there's no order for delivery, so she stays at the reception while her mother was away to run some errands at the market.

"Anna!"

Anna snapped her head towards the entrance to see whoever was.

"Hi! Nicolo, welcome."

She smiled at him as he approaches her with a huge grin.

"Have a seat, Nicolo." She gestured him towards the tables and chairs. "I'll be in a minute to take your orders."

"Can I stay here with you after lunch?" He asked all of a sudden.

"Did something happen? –or did you fight with your brothers back at home?" Anna furrowed her eyebrows and asked amusedly.

"Nah! We never get into fights among ourselves. Leo would never let that happen."

"I'm surprised." Anna rolled her eyes over.

"You don't like Leo!" Nicolo exclaimed.

"What is there to like about him!" she lazily said.

"Everything! Women die to marry him but he never really have any interest in these stupid things."

"Those women are blind!" She interjected and scowled. "I'd rather chose a dog over him."

"You are the first-ever woman that caught his attention. Never have I ever seen my brother touching a woman apart from families. You are the first ever that he lay a hand on." Nicolo said amusedly changing the topic.

"HaHa—do you think I'll believe that?"

"It's true, Anna." He insisted.

"Okay, whatever! What do you wanna order?" Anna asked, changing the topic.

"Oh yes, I forgot to order first." Nicolo flicked his fingers in the air in realisation. "I wanna have what I didn't have last time." He said, reaching for the menu over the table and scanned thoroughly at it. "I'll have—bulgogi and japchae."

"Wait for some minutes, your order will be served soon," Anna informed as she passed his orders to the kitchen.

"While waiting why don't we talk." He said excitedly.

"What do you wanna talk about?"

"How about we get to know each other well?"

"Okay!" Anna agreed and Nicolo looked at her expectantly. "First of all, I am a student doing my medical courses in Livingstone Medical Centre and right now I'm on my vacation so I'm helping out mom in her work."

"Wow, you're a medical student. So you wan to become a doctor?"

"Yup, a specialist surgeon one day. Now tell me yours!"

"Well, I'm a student too. I'm learning some business studies from my brothers."

"From your brothers! What about college!"

"I don't need to go to college when I have three intelligent brothers to guide me." He said with full of love and respect.

"I see you love your brothers so much." Anna smiled warmly at him.

"We love each other so much. But—" Nicolo smiled faded slowly and looked at Anna with a little tad of sadness in his face.

"Nicolo, what happens?" Anna asked him softly.

"Sometimes I get really upset at them."

"It's normal, Nicolo."

"Our vendetta," Nicolo said gravely making Anna to snapped at him. "This is what we are living for."

"What do you mean?" Anna asked as curiosity spiked onto her.

"Our family took a blood oath to avenge our dead sister." Nicolo knows that he is breaking the code but he trust Anna.

"Nicolo, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Anna understood that this word shouldn't be said to others. Though she doesn't exactly know how this mafia world works but little did she knows that what happened between them stays between them until dead call them. It was their absolute command 'Code of Silence'.

"I trust you, Anna," Nicolo said with a small smile. "We came here for revenge."

"How did she died, your sister?" She asked quietly.

"She was murdered by our enemy, The Harondale. She was only six and they shot her through her heart—" Nicolo said solemnly while Anna was beginning to get furious in anger. She remembered Sarah talking about the top five mafias in the world and Harondale was one of it. "—that's what my family told me. You know, I was not even born back then."

"How can they just kill a child?" Anna breathes out shakily.

"At a very young age, Leo and Roberto took an oath to avenge her death, a blood feud."

"What did they do to avenge?"

"They're going to kill the only daughter of the Harondale mafia."

" Going to! You mean he didn't kill her still." Anna pointed out.

"Yes and that's because the girl went missing fourteen years ago."

"No one knows where she is, not even the Harondale." Now Anna was getting confused about it and shook her head, letting her head to settle.

"You mean, the child's gone missing fourteen years ago and not even her family knows where she is. And your brothers are still on this vendetta." She said trying to put two and two together while Nicolo gave one nod at her. "How can you all be so sure that she'd be still alive? And even if she's alive, do you think she'll have any idea about it? What if she was an innocent girl? Will they still kill her if she's been found?" This was crazy. Anna was feeling really exasperated.

"This is where I get upset! I tell them every time about that." Nicolo sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "What if she was innocent?—" He repeated her words. "But they never listen."

"I just pray that they never find her." Anna blurted out groggily.

"You and I have the same thought." Nicolo smiled at her.

Anna sighed heavily. "Nicolo, I'm really sorry about your loss and also I pray that your brothers listen to you before it happens." Nicolo sadly drifted his eyes down on the floor.

"It's okay. Why are you being sorry? It's not like you're the cause of her death." He quickly masked his sadness and smiled at her. "I'll give it one last try to make them listen to me and if they don't listen, I will hang them upside down," Nicolo jested with a small smile under his silent chuckled.

"Call me if you need help with that."

Soon James came out with Nicolo's order. Nicolo asked Anna to join him but she rejected him politely. And Nicolo, every time he staffs the food in his mouth, he'll glance at Anna and give her a huge grin. Anna couldn't help but smile back at his cute gestures. Then suddenly her phone starts vibrating and buzzing on the table.

"Yes, sisters!" she answered over the phone lazily.

"Our little sister is really smart, huh! Don't you think Jasmine?" Sarah spoke on the other side.

"Yes, she is." Jasmine agreed.

"It's not a new thing, sisters. I know you all very well. Whenever you guys get bored, you always go for a conference call. Is Fiona connected too?" Anna asked.

"Yes I am, sister dear!" Fiona answered immediately. "What's up sisters? How's your day going on?"

"Cool!"

"Fine."

"Guess what!" Sarah popped out.

"What!"

"Yes."

"What is it?"

"There's going to be an anniversary party held on Mayor's estate tonight, a masquerade party and everyone is invited," Sarah informed. "And both the mafia boss are going to attend that party too."

"Are you sure they won't end up tearing each others head." Fiona joked over the phone. Jasmine and Sarah started laughing over the phone while Anna simply listened to them.

"So what if there's a party! So what if both the mafias are attending that party! What does it matter to you?" she could hear Sarah laughing devilishly from the other side. "Don't tell me you're going to attend that party, Sarah?"

"I'm an undercover sister, remember? Spy duty! And moreover everyone is invited, let's go and enjoy the party. It's been ages, we didn't go out and have fun together."

"We just went out yesterday night." Anna pointed out.

"That was past, we're in present." Anna didn't say anything and simply rolled her eyes over.

"I'm in," Jasmine said.

"I'm in too." Fiona agreed.

"What say, little sister?" Sarah cooed over the phone.

"Okay." She said and hung up the call.

Nicolo stayed and accompanied her for the rest of the day. He kept her occupied in his talking and also helped her in cleaning and serving and also was giving so much hospitality to the customers. Most of the customers ended up getting so fond of him. He is such a nice and good lad that Anna couldn't help but wonder why he has to be born in the mafias' family?

Why hadn't he been born as my little brother? She thought.

After spending the day together, they got to know each other very well. Nicolo offered Anna for a ride and Anna accepted it happily.

"Thank you so much, Nicolo. Text me when you reach home so that I'll know you reach home safely."

"Okay, Goodnight Anna!" he grinned widely at her before hitting on the gas and driving off.
