After wishing Leo a goody-goodnight, Anna strolled towards her room to check on Vernon. Vernon was already asleep. She went beside him and pull up the blanket over him. And as she was about to leave the room, she heard the sound of a phone vibrating. She looked back and saw Vernon's phone vibrating over the nightstand. She strolled towards it and saw Joshua's name written over the screen. She was having an inner battle to pick up the call or just leave and walk away. It was a missed call though, she couldn't pick the call on time. Joshua called him for the second time. Without hesitation, Anna quickly slides on the green and picked up his call on his second call.

"Hello, I'm sorry but Vernon is already asleep," Anna said gently over the call.

"May I know who's this speaking?" A low and base but soothing voice of Joshua asked her.

"Anna! I mean—Anastasia William."

"Oh Anna, thank you so much for saving my brother's life."

"No, Vernon was the one who saved my life."

"Vernon told me everything. Well, I'll call him in the morning then. Goodnight, Anna."

"Goodnight."

She placed the phone over the nightstand. She saw Vernon shuffling on the bed in his sleep and turned towards her. She then leaned down and covered the blanket over him again.

"Goodnight, Tessa."

Anna stared at him for some seconds and sighed. "You love your sister so much, don't you? You probably missed her dearly. I hope you reunite with your sister very soon." Anna whispered softly with a smile before leaving the room.

Anna took breakfast for Vernon and went to her room. She saw standing up from the bed.

"Where are you going?" Anna scurried in and stopped him.

"Ah—I need to use the bathroom. Can I use?" Vernon sheepishly said as he scratched his head. Anna snorted softly and move away from his way.

"Anna!" Vernon peaked his head out from the bathroom. "Can I please get a towel? I really need to take a shower."

"Okay, If you are done using the bathroom, come out. Your breakfast is ready." Anna said and passed the towel to him. After some minutes, Vernon walked out from the bathroom and saw Anna setting breakfast for him.

"You shouldn't have taken trouble making breakfast for me."

"Of course, I didn't. Jasmine made it for you." Anna said and set the breakfast on the table. "Oh, and by the way, your brother called you yesterday night and since you were sleeping, I picked up the call."

"He probably called me to disturb," Vernon said lazily. Anna creased her brows and tilted her head slightly at him. "He always calls me late at night to disturb my sleep and I do the same too. But I slept in early yesterday."

"Both of you love each other so much, don't you?"

"Yeah! He's my everything. It's always him and me against the world. It would've been better if it was him, my sister and me against the world."

"That's very sweet. Your sister will be very lucky to have both of you as her brothers." Anna said and they smiled at each other.

"Come to think of it, what were you doing late night in the room?" Vernon narrowed his eyes at her and asked.

"I just came to check on you." She answered directly.

"Anna!" Jasmine called her from the door. She was carrying some clothes on her hands as she strolled inside. "Mom gave some of dad's shirts for him." She said as she gestured her head towards Vernon.

"Oh good, thank you," Anna said and took the clothes from her.

"I have to help mom with the deliveries—till then take care of him, please. Don't let him go anywhere until he's fully healed." Anna said and placed the clothes at Jasmine's hand and gave her a cheeky smile before dashing out of the room.

Vernon received a call from his brother. After listening for some seconds over the phone, he hunged up and stood up from his place and strolled towards Jasmine. He grabbed the shirt from Jasmine's and wore it on. He went and sat on the bed and started to wear his shoe.

"What're you doing?" Jasmine asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"I have to go." He said.

"No, you can't!"

"Thank you so much for looking after me. I need to go now. Got something important." He said and dashed out from the room.

Right after Anna made to the restaurant, she started cleaning the tables and chairs while waiting for the order of the delivery to be made.

"Anna!" Sofia called her from behind. "Can we talk!"

"What happened, mom? Is everything okay?" Anna asked and both of them settled to the chairs and table beside them.

"You're going to be eighteen tomorrow, I hope it's not too late to give one last advice to her underage daughter." Sofia squeezed on her hand gently and looked at her. "Anna, I don't know what's going on between you and Leo but I want you to stay away from him—not only just him but his family as well and Vernon as well. They have many enemies and I don't want your life to be in any kind of danger."

"Mom, if it's regarding about yesterday's incident, you don't need to worry. I promise I will be careful next time."

"No, Anna! Your world and his world is different. I can't let you live your life at risk."

"I love him, mom. And also I know that he's a mafia and I'm ready to risk it all. I can protect myself. Don't you trust in your training." Anna said jestly.

"I know you can protect yourself but you and Leo can never be together."

"Why mom?"

"Because he's a mafia!"

"I know, mom. I told you already."

"Anna! Mom! What're you guys doing?" Jasmine interrupted and strolled between them.

"Jasmine, what are you doing here? You were supposed to look after Vernon." Anna said.

"He said that he has important business to attend so he just left and I just let him." Jasmine rolled over her eyes and said.

"Sofia, there's an order to deliver just now." Mr. Lee informed from the reception.

"I'll talk to you in the evening, dear. Jasmine, join Anna in cleaning the tables and chairs." Sofia said and went towards the reception

"Sure, ma'am."

After cleaning the tables and chairs, Anna made her first delivery duty and returned to the restaurant. Jasmine took a day-off from her class and spend her day helping at the restaurant.

"Ahem! Your prince charming is here." Jasmine teased as she glanced at the entrance door then to Anna. Anna looked towards the door and an immediate grinned formed on her lips.

"I'm very satisfied with the looked you're giving me right now," Leo said and smiled wolfishly at her as he came and stood in front of her. "Expecting to see me." Anna nodded immediately.

"Goodmorning, Anna," Roberto said. "Jasmine!" both the ladies gave him a smiled. "Is your mother here?" he asked.

"Yes, why?" Jasmine asked.

"We have some business with your mother," Leo answered softly looking down at Anna.

"Is it very serious?"

"Nah—I just need to ask her some question." Leo shrugged off.

"By the way, do you guys ever heard about the name Rachel Clearwater?"

"Aunt Rachel!" Jasmine exclaimed immediately. "What do you want from her?"

"You know her!"

"Yeah! She's my mother's best friend."

"What's going on?" Sofia asked strolling out from the kitchen and darted between them.

"Goodmorning, ma'am." Leo and Roberto said in unison.

"What do you want?" Sofia asked in a curt tone to which Anna looked at her.

"Can we talk?" Roberto said as he gestured towards the chair and table. Sofia nodded at him and strolled towards it.

"Don't worry we're just gonna ask her some question?" Leo said and place a soft kiss on her forehead. "Can you prepare three lemonade for us?" he smiled at her and Anna nodded at him.

"What happened? What is it that you wanna talk about?" Sofia asked.

"We heard the Rachel Clearwater is your close friend?" Leo said politely.

"Yes!"

"Do you know where she is right now?"

"Why are you looking for her?" she asked calmly.

"We need her for some business."

"What kind of business?"

"Can you please stop asking and answer us?" Roberto said courtly.

"I don't want to tell you anything. I don't care what kind of business do you have with her, I don't want to put her life in danger."

"How can you be so sure that if you tell us anything then her life would be in danger?" Roberto pointed out and asked.

"Because you are mafia and danger is what you bring along with you." Sofia snapped.

"We promised you that your friend won't be in danger. Just tell us where she is?" Leo said sincerely.

"She's in California. She moved there seven years ago."

"Calfornia, which part?"

"I don't know. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got works to do." She said and stood up from her place. While Anna made her way to them with a tray of three lemonade.

"Ever heard of the name Anita?" Leo asked making Sofia to snapped her head towards him.

"No!" she said and walked away.

"It looks like she doesn't like you very much. Guess your love line is not going to be a smooth one, brother." Roberto teased.

"Your lemonade is here, Sir," Anna said as she placed the tray on the table. Leo took her hand and placed her beside him. "What happened? What did you talk with mom?"

"Guess your mother don't like me," Leo said amusedly.

"Don't worry, she will like you. I will make sure she does." Anna said and grinned beautifully. Leo grinned at her as well and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Roberto loudly cleared his throat and looked away. Roberto received a call from Nicolo. After listening over the call for some moments. He hung up and looked at Leo.

"We need to go now, Leo," Roberto informed.

"You go ahead, I'll join you in a minute." He said and Roberto nodded at him before standing up from his position.

"Are you in that hurry! At least drink the lemonade and go." Anna urged.

"Oh yes, you took trouble in making this, how can I not drink!" Roberto said jestly and winked at her before sipping the lemonade. "Thank you, Anna. I'll see you later." He said and walked away. Then she turned towards Leo and gestured him to drink the lemonade. Leo drank the lemonade obediently and then turned to Anna.

"I have to go now, Mio coure."

"I know." She leaned closer to him and whispered. Leo curved down and closed the distance between them. Suddenly Anna started laughing under their kiss and pull away.

"You taste all lemonade. It's like I'm kissing a lemon."

Leo chuckled heartily. Then Anna looked at him with worry eyes and cupped one of his cheeks. "Whatever you do, please be careful." She said softly.

"I will. I'll see you later." Leo said and stood up from his place, then he curved down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead before walking away.

Leo and Roberto made out of the restaurant and strolled towards their car.

"She made contact with her just as we expected. Nicolo is trying to track down the location." Roberto informed.

"Good, let's go to him now." They got inside the car and drove in. After they reached home, they went directly towards the study where everyone was waiting for them.

"Got anything!" Leo said as he strolled in and Roberto followed him.

"Not yet," Alesso said. "He's still working on it."

"I'm almost done," Nicolo said as he kept his fingers busy typing on his computer. "Done!" he shrieked. "She in LA streets, house no. 112. But she has changed her Identity." Nicolo turned his computer towards them and show them her profile.

"Natalie Stark, age-44, occupation-housewife—huh! She's staying really low." Alesso said as he stared at the screen.

"Antonio, command our men to that location right now. And make sure that she is unharmed." Marcus informed.

"Yes, Papa."
