~ Toshimi's POV ~
"Urgh..." I groaned. My head was ponding and it hurt to move. My eyes were closed and i could tell that one of them where swollen. I opened my non swollen eye and looked around the room I was in. It was plain, but still seemed comfy. In the far corner of the room, was a desk with piles of paper work. I wanted to get up and explore some more, so I tried lifting my self up. I was successful until my feet gave away. Luckily, they were not bound together. I pushed myself up slowly and clung to a wall. Ever so gently, i took small steps towards the door. Using one hand as a form of support, I opened the door. "Nngh!" I squinted my eyes at the bright sunlight. It was so strong yet the warmth of it some hoe gave me more energy. I started walking out and started to explore around the unknown area.
~ Narrators POV ~
Toshimi grasped the wall and walked into the morning sun. Soft murmurs were coming from the room next door to where she was laying in. Her curiosity took over the best of her, causing the young Toshimi to gently knock on the door. "Umm...Hello?" She whispered, hoping they would hear her. Luckily, one of the men in there stood up and opened the door. "Oh! Well, well, I guess the girl we found woke up! Come in!" Sannan Keisuke said warmly. Toshimi blushed softly at the kindness of this man and stepped in. "Come on! Sit next to me!" Mychiro got up and help Toshimi sit down. "A-arigatou.." Toshimi mumbled. "Think nothing of it!" Mychiro chimed. Kondou san cleared his throat. "So, let's all introduce ourselves! I shall start, I am Kondou Isami and I am the head commander of the shinsengumi." He said with a smile. "Nice to meet you." Toshimi smiled softly. "And I'm Heisuke Todou! Call me Heisuke if you'd like to!" Heisuke grinned and gave Toshimi a big thumbs up. "Okay, Heisuke!" Toshimi had just started to meet every body, but she already felt like they were a friendly group. " yo, I'm Okita Souji." Okita smirked. "If you get in our way, we might have to kill ya.." He threatened. Toshimi just scowled and continued listening to every one introduce themsleves. " Hey, I'm Sanosuke Harada." Sanosuke, another red head said. Toshimi could feel her face grow warm as Sanosuke patted her head. "Oi, your face is red, do you have a fever or somethin'? " Sanosuke pressed his forhead against hers, causing her to burn up even more. "I-it's nothing!" Toshimi stammered turning away. Nagakura laughed and gave Toshimi a big fat grin. "I'm Nagakura Shinpachi!" He said, pushing Sanosuke away from her. "I'm Chizuru!" Chizuru said warmly. "I'm Mychiro and the cutesy one sitting next to me is Hajime kun!" Mychiro giggled hugging Saito. Toshimi smiled at each and every one of them. They all were so friendly, and so kind. It was as if she knew them for so long! "Well then, the only person who has not introduced himself would be....ah, Toshi!" Kondou san nudged Hijikata san gently. "My name is Hijikata-!" Hijikata san was cut off immediately as he started introducing himself. "Toshi nii! I missed you so much!" Toshimi had her arms around her big brother, her tears soaking his kimono. "I knew it was you, Toshimi" Hijikata san returned the hug, happy to be reunited with his sister, once again.
