Dean cut through the fence with a pair of pliers he found in one of the many old vehicles around. Dean had spent the last day making his way to Bobby's house, he needed to hope that someone he knew was still around in this time.
He crawled his way through the small area of the fence he had cut out, making sure not to make too much noise. He didn't want to run into another mob of infected again. He wasn't sure he would be as lucky as he was last time.
He stood up and patted the dirt off of his jacket before heading towards the house. Dean frowned, the wood on the house was rotting and falling apart. The metal had rusted just like the cars that surrounded the house.
He quietly crept up to the old house, careful not to step on anything that could alert others to his presence. Just in case someone else was there. Dean's eyes widened when he saw an old news paper lying on the ground, the date printed on the old paper wasn't what he was expecting.
"This can't be right. It says 2014." Dean muttered to himself. "Great, I just had to be dropped off in the future, I hate time travel." Dean complained.
He dropped the news paper before heading inside. Maybe he would find what he was looking for. If he knew what it was he was looking for anyway. "Bobby! Bobby!" Dean called out. After another minute of silence he frowned, "Guess Bobby didn't stick around. Would have thought he wanted to die in this dam dump."
He continued to search for any clue as to where Bobby had gone. If anyone could survive the apocalypse it was most definitely Bobby Singer. He rummaged around the desk. Piles of books and other junk were on to the desk and on the floor around it. Most of it was lore, but there were a few others that didn't go with the group.
"Great, I'm stuck in the future with no idea if anyone I know is alive. This is just freaking awesome." Dean muttered sarcastically.
He went to leave when he stepped on some glass that shattered underneath his weight. "Oops." Dean said, but paused when he saw what exactly it was that he had stepped on. A huge grin appeared on his face, "Finally."
A picture of Bobby, Castiel, and some other guys standing in front of a sign that had the words: CAMP CHITAQUA.
"Best lead I've got so far."
Line Break
Sam Winchester was not having a good day. First his brother, Dean, was kidnapped by the angels, then he has to follow whatever plan Percy could come up with on the fly, and now he has to find a way to get to his brother with the help of Zoe, Percy's demon wife.
"Any ideas?" Sam said, keeping his focus on the road.
"I don't know." Zoe shrugged.
Sam's eye twitched, his face reddening. "Then why are you here?" Sam growled.
Zoe raised an eyebrow, "To keep you from being a complete idiot. If any angels show up, and they will, then I have to be the one to keep you alive. Why Percy hasn't killed you and left you like that is beyond me."
Sam went to grab the gun sitting on his lap, but hesitated. Now was not the time to be getting on Percy's bad side. "Great. Anything else?"
Zoe's eyes narrowed, "Don't get snippy with me. Your the one who started the apocalypse and set us on the path of possible damnation."
He opened his mouth to speak again, but didn't, realizing that she was right. He had fallen right into Ruby's trap and he was stupid enough to think he could just ignore that it was his fault.
"Fine, but I'm not just going to stand by and do nothing to get Dean back. I'm going to save my brother."
Zoe was going to say something, but was interrupted by the sound of wings flapping.
"Yeah, that's exactly what your going to do. Even if you had your little demon powers you wouldn't be able to help Dean. He's trapped and there isn't much you can do. Luckily I'm here and I happen to like your brother, unlike you. You just annoy me like a child does to an older sibling."
Sam's eyes widened when he heard Percy's voice. He looked in the rear view mirror to look at him, he was still cautious around the archangel. Percy sat in the back seat with a beer in his hand and a wicked grin on his face. "Nervous are we?"
Sam's eyes narrowed, "Just making sure you aren't going to do anything."
Percy rolled his eyes, "Like you could stop me."
Zoe turned around in her seat, "Stop scaring him, we may actually need him to get Dean back."
"Fine, I'll leave him alone. For the moment...." Percy let the threat hang, making Sam pale.
"What did you find?" Zoe asked, trying to change the topic. This caused Percy to sigh loudly, "Not much. Those featherless dicks have it top secret. There's nothing on angel radio and my spies haven't been able to find anything."
"You can't just use your power to pull him from wherever they have him? We could use a location spell to find him and then you grab him." Sam offered.
Percy's eyes widened, "Did y-you just offer s-something u-useful?" Percy asked sarcastically.
Sam glared at him through the rear view mirror. "Shut up."
Even Zoe had to smile at that one. Percy sat in the back thinking over what Sam had said. "It might work, but I don't think I have the power to do it with Michael and all of heaven keeping me out. I would need another archangel to help."
Zoe and Sam both looked at him strangely," And just where do you think we could find another archangel? There aren't exactly a lot of them and two of them hate you while the other is dead." Sam said.
Percy frowned, "They don't hate me. They just don't like me because I'm God's favorite at the moment. As for getting another archangel, well, I have one in mind."
"Want to share with the rest of the class?" Zoe said.
"Gabriel." Percy said.
Sam slammed on the breaks of the Impala, the car skidding across twenty feet of asphalt before coming to a complete stop. The younger Winchester brother opened the door and got out before slamming it shut.
"Zoe, head back home. Make sure our forces are ready. If this doesn't work we are going to have to storm heaven." Percy said before getting out of the car. Zoe nodded as she vanished, no trace of her being there previously.
"I'm guessing you two have met before." Percy said to Sam who was trying his hardest not to put a fist print in the Impala. Dean would kick his ass if he ever found out.
Sam turned his gaze to the archangel who was started to get a little agitated at his silence. "Yeah. Me and Dean hunted him a while back. We thought he was a trickster."
Percy suddenly realized where this was going. "And he beat both of you, I'm guessing."
Sam nodded, " Yeah, he once kept me stuck on the same Tuesday."
"That doesn't sound so bad." Percy interrupted. Sam shook his head, "He killed Dean over a hundred different times. Every time Dean would die I would wake up at the same time, back in our hotel room of that morning."
Percy frowned, "Okay, I get why you would be upset with him. Can't say I wouldn't be either."
"After we thought we had caught him and made him stop I woke up the next day. I had thought it was over, I was wrong."
Percy figured this was where it got worse, despite not liking Sam that much he understood what kind of mental effect it would take on him to see his brother die over and over.
"He killed Dean again, but this time I didn't wake up. I spent the next three months hunting anything near me, but my focus was on finding him. I finally found him and to make a long story short I begged him to bring Dean back for good." Sam growled.
Percy smirked, picturing same on his knees while begging. So many jokes could have been made, if only he had been there.
"That doesn't explain how you know he is a archangel and not a trickster, which by the way are just children of Hermes." Percy said, a little curious as to how Sam and Dean figured out how Gabriel was actually an archangel.
"A couple of years later we got a new case. When we did the routine questioning and investigating, we saw the same MO as a trickster we had thought that was what was causing all of the problems in the town."
"What kind of leads did you have?" Percy asked, curious as to what Gabriel had done.
Sam sighed, ready for the inevitable laughter. "The lady, who's husband was the victim, had said the Incredible Hulk smashed through her front door." Sam said, leaving it at that.
Percy's face split into a huge grin, "That is the coolest thing ever! I can just picture the ladies face, priceless!"
Sam glared, "Her husband was killed and all you can think about was how funny it was?"
Percy rolled his eyes, "Hello! I am half demon, now finish the story."
Sam continued to glare, but went to finish it anyway. "Anyway, we went to this abandoned warehouse where we were put into tv land. After we got through most of the shows he put us in we finally managed to trap him with some holy oil."
Percy frowned, "Hate that shit." He muttered.
Sam smirked, "Well We had figured out it was him when he wouldn't walk out of the circle. He took us out of his little playground and brought Cas back before we left him."
Percy looked at him, "There's something your not telling me."
Sam's eyes widened before his face reddened, "That's none of your business."
Percy ignored him before touching his forehead with his finger. After a few seconds he began to laugh uncontrollably. "You got turned into the Impala! Haha, Dean's hand was basically in your ass. Get it? You were the car and he had to open your trunk to get the oil! Amazing!" Percy couldn't stop laughing as he began to roll on the ground.
Sam grumbled before getting back into the car and driving away, leaving Percy on the ground.
Ten minutes later Percy appeared in the passenger seat, "Way to just leave a man behind Sammy."
Sam ignored him and focused on driving. It took all of his willpower not to punch the archangel/demon in the face.
"Okay, fine. I won't laugh anymore, until we get Dean back that is." Percy said, almost sounding sincere. "Now we just need to find my brother." Percy grumbled. Despite being super powerful even he couldn't find Gabriel without some help.
"We need bait." Sam summed up.
"Yeah, we need something to draw him out." Percy said thinking.
"Me." Sam said, waiting for Percy's reaction.
Percy smiled, "Awesome."
"Let's do it then." Sam's eyes narrowed before he pressed on the gas more as the Impala took off down the road at very unsafe speeds.
Line Break
Dean crept around the outer edges of the camp, his only lead to Bobby at the moment. A couple of people armed with machine guns walked by, forcing him to duck behind an old rusted vehicle. He waited until the coast was clear before checking his surroundings and quickly running from cover to cover.
From trees to old rusted vehicles he hid behind them, avoiding the constant security of the place. What they were guarding he had no idea. He ducked behind the last of the old vehicles when he realized what it was he was hiding behind.
"Baby." Dean muttered in horror. The 1967 Chevy Impala looked like it was a hundred years old. The rims were all rusted, there were no tires, the windshield had been taken out along with the other windows. The leather seats were moldy and all torn up. The sight almost made Dean cry.
"What have they done to you?" He asked before he heard something snap from behind him. He slowly reached into his pocket for his pocket knife, but was hit on the head from behind. He slowly lost consciousness, but not before he saw himself begin to drag his body away.
This day just couldn't get any weirder for him.
Dean woke up, bound by some rope that was tied around a wooden beam in what seemed like a small cabin. He wasn't sure with his blurred vision, but there didn't seem to be a hole lot of space. "Awesome." He muttered sarcastically.
"Not exactly the way I would put it." Someone said.
Dean grumbled, "Who are you and what do you want?" He tried to see who was there, but the only light in the room was the lit candle by him a foot away on what seemed to be a wooden table, he wasn't completely sure though.
"I want to know why you were in my camp, sneaking around like a croat." The voice said.
Dean wasn't sure how much he should give away, but figured he didn't have much leverage at the moment. "I'm looking for Bobby Singer."
Silence.
The voice didn't speak for a couple of minutes, it seemed Dean had said something important, at least he hoped.
"Do I at least get to know who is keeping me hostage?" Dean said, annoyed already.
Again there was silence, but this time his question was answered when the person walked out far enough for Dean to see their face.
"You've got to be joking." Dean grumbled.
"What? Didn't think we would survive the apocalypse?" The, now identified, man said, some amusement was laced in his words.
"Just didn't think I would be seeing double while I was sober." Dean replied back.
"Yeah well, welcome to my world. So, where, or should I say, when are you from?" Deans doppelgänger asked.
"I got dropped off from 2009. Any idea why?" Dean asked. From his conversation, with the not so friendly angel, the day before he had an idea why, but he just wanted to be sure. He never could tell with those pricks, even when the answer seemed simple, but it usually wasn't.
"Depends, who dropped you off?"
Dean frowned, his day was just getting worse and worse. "Zachariah."
Future Deans eyes widened, "This is good. You can fix everything, keep us from making the same mistake." He ranted for a minute, Dean wasn't sure if he should ask what he was talking about or just stay quiet.
"Mistake?"
His future self stopped and looked at him, "Say yes."
Dean looked at him like he had a second head, "Uh, I thought the plan was not to."
"Well the plan is to do it now. You can't let all of this happen, not like I did."
"Half the planet will be destroyed, I can't let all of those people die." Dean argued back.
His future self glared at him, "There won't be a planet if you say no. All of humanity will be killed, turned into croats, or on the run. Half a planet is better than no planet."
"Dean!" Someone from outside yelled.
"Awesome." Future Dean muttered, "Don't move." He said before leaving, not noticing the screw in his pasts self's hand.
"The hell I will." Dean growled before getting up and rubbing his wrists, "Time to find out what's going on."
A/N
I know, it's not as long as it should have been, but this chapter needed to get out there. I am back from spring football practice and our game. I have three days left of school, but I literally have no work left, just time on my hands so I hope to get a new chapter out soon. Thanks, and don't forget to comment. Ideas are always appreciated.
