Up above the world so high
Throwing up in the cab, on the plane
-what a thrill- to throw up in two
cities on the same day. Yet that moment
Of disbelief is worth it, when the sky
Is a sea above sea, light trickling in pillars
Before filtering through once more,
Clouds preparing siege engines and also
Wandering aimless. You are where the gods once were,
Yet you whine about the world. (The unscalable peak was a god,
Then the sky that was a dream, then stars
Beyond comprehension, now the mind that is a paradox;
Where further will the idea be goaded as humanity blooms)
The clouds a coast of cartographer's fantasy,
The thoughts a roof above thoughts, rivers greening
With algal rashes, the road bastard usurper, too, slithering aglow.
What is Pune, what is Chennai? From a high enough view-
Just people scrambling about, unaware of their minisculity.
