Preparations

Hey guys sorry the last update was so late, wattpad glitched and didn't publish it. I won't be able to update very often as I just found out I have an English assignment to do .Bit of a fill-in-the-gaps chapter I'm afraid. Anyway, enjoy the chapter and don't forget to vote and comment if you are enjoying the story.🍫Choclatey Claire

We swum off stage, following Anarkra, and found ourselves in the Fight Class room. "So, what kind if things are we gonna need? " Kenrita asked, always the bold one.

" Well, you each have a swag, weapon of choice, rations and there is some joint hunting and cooking gear for you guys to share. "Anarkra answered smoothly, too smoothly, something was off. I was about to ask her about it when Mithara, a warrior and a priestess swum into the room.

"Aah good, everyone's here." Anarkra said, sounding relieved.

" We would like to say this is going to be a dangerous mission and there are others available if you do not want to partake in it." The warrior informed us. I looked around the room to see a determined Kenrita and Marco and a slightly pale but steadfast Eleckra. I knew then and there it was our mission alone. Nobody was going to take it from us.

" You will be going undercover as young pilgrims, as the Tephon leader has set up a false religion to honour Zereste and many misguided merfolk have headed there on 'pilgrimages '." The priestess beside the warrior, Eleckra's mentor, said with disgust. " You are to gather as much information as possible and then returning home. With your information the Sea Witch High Council, Brotherhood of Warriors, and Priestess High Council will decide on our plan of attack. Do not , under any circumstances, attack without us. Understood?" Anarkra demanded.

" Here's a map of Aquata, Marcus will look after it and guide you." The warrior instructed his startled looking apprentice. Marco nodded and looked down sheepishly.

The group drifted into mentor-apprentice pairs leaving Anarkra and I in the centre. "Miara, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to tell you about this before. Just please don't make me look bad. This is Selevene's attempt to get me off The Council. " She pleaded. I furrowed my eyebrows not understanding why me failing would get her off The Council. "If an apprentice messes something up really badly, like you might-" She told me telepathically.

" Because that's not offensive!" I mind yelled at her, cutting her off.

"Sorry, I'm just worried. Follow the other three and stick together. Good luck!" She wished as we swam out the door, to the start of our journey.
