Chapter 63- From The Shadows

Third Person

CannibalCrab lightly grumbled under his breath as he moved farther and farther away from the Conch Command. He glanced down at the small and handheld device, which beeped constantly, showing a purple dot on the map. He sighed as he followed the coordinates of it.

"Hey Cannibal? I have a special mission for you!" CannibalCrab mimicked in a higher pitched voice. "It's super important and I'd only trust you with it? Guess what it is? FIND MY FREAKING SON!" Cannibal yelled in frustration, nearly crushing the tracker in his hands. "Sure Kraken, just send me to do your freakin' dirty work! It's not like I had anything better to do!"

Stopping for a moment, he took a deep breath to calm himself, then continued on. Eyes flickering from the tracker to the land ahead of him, his eyebrows furriod. Blooper was supposed to be "Out and about with Selena" but where exactly where they? CannibalCrab was closing in on their location, and he was in the middle of the third and second sector. What was so interesting here that finally made them stop?

All around him, the land was pretty empty, given he was in the outskirts, but just up ahead, he spotted a small structure that could barely even be described as a shack, given it was not only small, but beaten up. Raising his eyebrows, Cannibal glanced down at the tracker, and as he guessed, Blooper was right where the shack was.

"What's so interesting about some rundown piece of junk?" He questioned to him.

"I was just thinking the same thing." CannibalCrab screamed and whipped around as fast as he could. Sam stood directly behind him, eyebrows raised but a smirk on her face. "Wow, I didn't expect you to have such a high pitched scream."

"DON'T DO THAT! YOU SCARED ME TO DEATH!" Cannibal screeched, bringing one of his claws to his chest, feeling the heartbeat spiral out of control.

Sam shrugged and continued on. Cannibal found himself following. "So, you're here to pick up Blooper or something?" Sam guessed.

Cannibal blinked. "Yeah, how did you-"

Sam stopped him by holding up a tracker, almost identical to his, but had a pink dot on it instead. "You're not the only one who put a tracker on the people that keep wandering off."

Though taken aback for a while, Cannibal ended up chuckling in the end. "I thought you were her sister, not her Mom!"

Sam almost flinched, and thought it was small, Cannibal still saw it. "Selena doesn't have anybody else to be her Mom, so somebody had to fill the roll."

Cannibal decided he probably should shut up before he accidentally made her have a mental break down and share her whole life story. Last time he did that, it didn't go well. Then again, he did get a best friend by doing that.

Shaking his head to get the idea out of his head, he focused more on the shack ahead.

It was small, made of wood, maybe could fit twelve people at most, though they'd be uncomfortable, and had one broken window with two boards badly nailed to seal it. There was one entrance, a door that looked like if you breathed on it, it would swing right open. Cannibal was pretty sure Blooper was in there, but he was already nervous of having to go inside of it, given it looked like if he breathed to heavily, it would all collapse.

"Blooper?" He called as he finally reached it. "You in there? Your Dad is more than a little worried about you not coming back when you were supposed to! And not picking up your phone. And Selena not picking up her phone... Just get out here!"

Though it took a while, Blooper soon emerged out of the shack with Selena following behind them. Both of them had wide eyes and were slightly gaping. "Sam? How did you- never mind, you need to see this! Both of you do!" Selena exclaimed, getting eager nods from Blooper.

"See what?" Sam questioned. In response, both of them just went right back inside the shack. Cannibal and Sam both exchanged glances before following them inside.

The shack didn't have much inside. There was a single table with one and a half chairs, a bookshelf with many books but no titles on them, and a lamp hanging from what looked like a thread, right above them.

However, while none of this was very interesting, Cannibal would soon find out what was: A stairwell leading down into a darker and lower part of the shack.

"What... What is that?" The general asked, pointing right at it.

"Secret underground base. We found it when I started messing with those books over there! One of them was a lever and it opened up this whole thing!" Blooper grinned. "Wanna check it out?"

"I thought you'd never ask." Sam chuckled and plunged into the darkness. The rest followed behind, either because they wanted to, or had no other choice.

Deep inside, everything looked nicer. The ground below them was made of steel, as were the walls. Though they were in a long hallway, it all lead to a bigger room. There, they found some interesting things.

There were several bookcases and even more file cabinets all around. As they passed through them, at the end of the room was a large screen that took up most of the wall, as well as a long but not nearly as large keyboard to go with it, and a wireless mouse. It was already logged onto a desktop, showing off files with all sorts of names on them. One caught Cannibal's eyes.

"People of Atlantis?" He echoed, moving right past everyone else to the keyboard and grabbed the mouse. Clicking on the file, it brought up a whole new set of questions. There, there were three files: Atlanteans, Tide Changers, and the Higher Ups. Cannibal found himself drawn to the latter of the three. In the Higher Ups folder, he found many names he recognized. Darrel and Gnash were just a few. But even then, this folder got even more specific. Whoever ran this place, clearly was good at organizing their computer.

Thi new folder read "The main ones". Already too deep, Cannibal clicked on it as well, and found himself face to face with not only his own name, but the other three people in the room's name and four others he knew too well.

"Okay, am I the only one getting chills?" Blooper asked out loud.

"I'm right there with you..." Sam murmured in agreement. "Click on one. What are they exactly?"

CannibalCrab hesitated, before clicking on KrakenKid's file. A document was brought up, listing only a couple things, but it didn't make it any less creepy.

Name: KrakenKid

Alliance: Tide Changers

Threat Level: High

Reason: Leader of the Tide Changers; Dangerous opponent; Easily influence people

Pressure Point: His son, Other higher up Tide Changers, and a few select Atlanteans

"Pressure point?" Blooper questioned.

"It mean the point on a person that makes them give away. Their weak spot." Cannibal answered.

Blooper gave a small gasp as he stared at what was written on it. "Oh..." He whispered silently. It probably wasn't the best thing to learn that he was his father's weakness.

"Look at the rest of them." Sam ordered sharply, leaning in. "What else do they know?"

CannibalCrab had no problem complying and clicking on Professor's next. He wasn't eager to know what his own pressure point was, but Professor's would be interesting.

Name: Professor Niall Pikalus

Alliance: Atlantis

Threat Level: High

Reason: Hulk; Intelligent; Holds position of power

Pressure Point: Cody; The Threat Of KrakenKid; Poseidon

"The threat of KrakenKid, huh?" Cannibal whistled lowly. "Interesting..."

Selena shot him a glare. "Hey! Don't use what we learn here for your conquest of Atlantis! Take this seriously!"

"Oh, believe me, I am..." The crab cracked a smile and closed out of that one. "Let's see what the King of Atlantis' pressure point is!"

Sam and Selena shouted words of protest but neither could stop him as he brought up his file too.

Name: Cody Maverick

Alliance: Atlantis

Threat Level: High

Reason: King of Atlantis; Powerful magic; Easily influences people

Pressure Point: Atlantis; His family, specifically his brother; Many of his Atlantean friends

"Wow." Cannibal scoffed. "That's a lot of pressure points. I bet KrakenKid would love to hear about this!"

"Cannibal! Stop that!" Selena barked.

"Do Selena next!" Blooper laughed, getting a glare from Selena. Selena didn't even try to stop the general as he brought up her file too.

Name: Selena

Alliance: Atlantis/Neutral

Threat Level: Low

Reason: Doesn't seem to fight in wars

Pressure Point: Sam; "Endy"; Cody; Blooper

"Aww, I'm your pressure point?" Blooper teased instantly.

Selena opened her mouth to object, but Sam noticed something much different. "Wait... Look at the threat level." Her statement got them all to do just that. "It says low instead of the rest that all said high... Am I the only one that finds that weird?"

Cannibal fell silent while Blooper snickered and Selena pouted. "You know what, Blooper? Let's see what your file looks like! Cannibal!"

"On it!" Cannibal snapped out of it and started to click around.

"Hey!" Blooper shouted but it went unnoticed as he was next in line.

Name: Blooper

Alliance: Tide Changers

Threat Level: Low

Reason: Just a child

Pressure Point: His father; Selena

"Ha!" Selena laughed. "Not only am I your pressure point, but you're just as low as a threat as I am!" Selena taunted right back, now getting Blooper to cross his arm and glare at both her and the screen, silently blaming it for his humiliation.

Sam was a lot more worried about what all of this meant then she was about whose pressure points were whose. She leaned in, now at Cannibal's shoulder. "Mine next." He nodded and went along with it. Anything to make his last.

Name: Sam

Alliance: Atlantis/Neutral

Threat Level: Low

Reason: Doesn't participate in wars

Pressure Point: Her sister; Cody; "Endy"

No one said a word as Sam narrowed her eyes at the file. Once she looked away, CannibalCrab brought up the only file that wasn't his.

Name: Tanith (Kennedy?)

Alliance: Atlantis/Neutral

Threat Level: High

Reason: Anonymous

Pressure Point: Cody; KrakenKid; Professor Pikalus; Selena; Sam; Blooper; CannibalCrab; Bartholomew; Larry; PTSD

"And you thought Cody had a lot of pressure points..." Selena said out loud. "What's "Anonymous" mean? I don't get it... And why does that make her a higher threat than us?"

Selena looked around for answers, not only to find Sam doing the same, but now seeing the looks Blooper and CannibalCrab were giving each other. "What?"

Blooper nodded to Cannibal, giving him the 'You do it' look before CannibalCrab actually said anything. He coughed awkwardly before speaking. "Anonymus was someone who attacked us before and after our invasion on Atlantis. He died but... KrakenKid said he died from the cave in but he was acting weird and didn't let anyone but a lead Illithid see his body. I didn't think much about it but..." He paused and stared up at the file. "Did Tanith have something to do with it?"

"That would explain the gunshot." Blooper prompted. "And why they both got out without Annon going after them."

"Yeah, it would..." The general trailed off for a while but finally noticed that everyone was staring at him expectantly. Sighing and rolling his eyes, he finally looked into his own file.

Name: CannibalCrab

Alliance: Tide Changers

Threat Level: Low

Reason: Easily Manipulated*

Pressure Point: KrakenKid; Somewhat Blooper

"LOW?" CannibalCrab roared, slamming his other claw on the table. "I'm freaking LOW THREAT LEVEL? SCREW THESE GUYS! ACE THOUGHT I WAS A HIGH THREAT!"

Cannibal fumed for what seemed like eternity, getting weird looks from both Blooper and Sam about his comment about Ace, but it was Selena who noticed a note in his file. "Hey, there's a star next to easily manipulated!"

CannibalCrab stopped and checked for himself, to see she was right. When he hovered over it, there was a link to a little note. "Whoa... Nice catch, Selena! Let's see what we got here."

Clicking on it, it brought up a small and simple note.

*He's a guard dog

-MDP

CannibalCrab had to restrain himself from smashing the screen in with his fist. "Who-" Selena was cut off before she could even ask.

"It's Annon. Only he would make this comment. Even dead, he's the bane of my existence!" CannibalCrab growled under his breath before closing all the files. He took in deep breaths before noticing another file labeled "Members" and his mind went straight to Annon.

"Okay, "Anonymous"," He gritted his teeth as he clicked it, bringing up a small list. "Lets see what kind of secrets you have."

CannibalCrab clicked on the file, but Sam moved to his side and tried to reason with him. "Cannibal, I don't think this is a good idea. We should get out of here and report it to-"

CannibalCrab cut her off with a glare. "No! This guy has attempted to murder KrakenKid twice, and now we might have found his secret base of operations, I am not passing this up!"

His eyes shot towards the screen and noticed a list of names. Small compared to everyone in the Tide Changers, but still lot more than anyone could have guessed. None of the names looked like actual birth names, but rather codenames. "Blackheart" and "Silence" were just a couple of these, but eventually he spotted the one he was looking for.

Anonymous.

If Poseidon himself were there, he couldn't have stopped the enraged crab from investigating the file. A number of things came up when it was clicked, including basic information and a number of what looked like videos, all titled "Log Date" with numbers on them.

"I think it's dates..." Selena mumbled.

"Wow, video diaries?" Blooper scoffed. "Kind of a nerd, don't you think?"

Selena bristled. "I do video diaries!"

"I rest my case."

"Should we watch one?" Sam asked, cutting in before Selena could say anything back to Blooper. "It could be useful to know more about what was going on here."

CannibalCrab nodded thoughtfully before clicking the first one.

The video popped up, showing the familiar mask and suit that Cannibal and Blooper knew too well. Something told the general that behind that stupid mask of his, he was smirking like the piece of probably-human garbage he was.

"Log Date one or something. Listen up, my name is Miles David Phillips, but chances are, you know me as Annon or Anonymous, depends how formal you want to be." For a second, Cannibal paused. Phillips? Where had he heard that before? "I'm a top member of "The Shadow" or whatever this place is called and my commanding officers insisted I make a video diary, which is pretty freaking nerdy but hey, can't upset the big man, so here I am! Here's what I got to say: If you want to advance in your ranks, do it yourself. Don't team up with people, they'll hold you down and don't ask for favors, it'll never work. You want to be as high up as me? You do it by looking out for yourself and nobody else."

He paused. "Even though you might think that your and your partner are tight and that it's just "You and me against the world" that'll never work. They'll get corrupted and leave you... Enough of this." His tone turned deadly cynical and the video stopped.

"The Shadow?" Blooper echoed. "...That's a stupid name. Kinda cliche if you ask me. Tide Changers is so much more original."

CannibalCrab grunted in agreement. "Do another one." Sam said, staring at the screen intently. "What's going on here?"

Not skipping a beat, another was picked at random. Consequently, it was just the one they needed to see.

"Log Date some number, hi, I'm Annon, you get the deal by now. Everyone seems to think I'm this organization's little star and killing machine, but guess what, I'm leaving. Today, it got personal." Annon's jaw clenched and shoulders flexed as if he was forcing himself to relax, but it wasn't working. "Today... I saw her."

Everyone exchanged glances as the one on screen stopped. "She's alive and well, but..." Annon growled, whipped out a gun from seemingly nowhere and aimed it at something off screen. It went off, as well as triggering the sound of something breaking. "I CAN'T BELIEVE THEM! I HARDLY RECOGNIZED HER!" He roared, now throwing his gun so it presumably hit the wall. It went off on impact and broke something else.

Blooper instinctively flinched while Selena was just taken aback. Neither Cannibal nor Sam had moved.

Annon took deep breaths, his chest heaving. "...She wears purple now. She always hated purple and pink, insisting they were the worst colors but she wears it now... It's all because of those STUPID Tide Changers and their STUPID LEADER! I'LL KILL HIM! I SWEAR I'LL-" He stopped abruptly. Now, the only sound he make was his breathing as the whole room was silent.

"...I'll kill him... Even if I have to die to break into his stupid little shell, I will kill him." Annon started to chuckle slowly and menacingly. "And who's going to stop me? Himself? His guard dog? That little medic that keeps visiting him? I don't think so... He. Will. Pay."

The screen went black, making CannibalCrab scramble for another video. This time, he chose the very last one, wondering what was the last message he ever made.

But instead of the mask of Annon, he found someone else. A new mask.

This mask had nothing on it and was just pure black, covering up the owner's face.

The owner soon spoke up.

"I regret to tell anyone who was hoping for messages from Anonymous that he has been murdered. Our best soldier, killed before our project could even be known to him. He had found out about it, he surely would have stuck around."

"Project?" Cannibal mumbled.

"No matter, I'm sure you want to know details. Anonymous was shot in the head two days ago by the medic we know to be named "Tanith" which is something none of us anticipated." Everyone let out variating noises of shock, with Selena's being the loudest and Sam's being the quietest and almost none existent. "Getting this information alone was difficult, but well worth it. We suspect that it might have been his ego that killed him in the end, as it always did bring him down in missions. Now, for the matter at hand. I'm sure that many of you wish to seek revenge, but we already have it under control. Tanith is being added to Project Crumble, know that we know she was able to kill our best soldier. We all miss him already, and may he rest in peace. This is the Mother Ship, signing off."

As soon as it stopped, Sam pushed herself to the controls and Cannibal back as he slowly processed that information. "...Annon was shot by Tanith?" He whispered. "Why didn't KrakenKid say anything?"

"I hate to quote my Dad but holy smokes... Remind me to be more onguard next time we strife." Blooper snickered lightly, instead finding the turn of events a lot more entertaining.

While the boys reacted to what happened, Selena swam to her sister's side as she began to type. "What are you doing?"

"Looking up Project Crumble." Sam answered. "We're already too deep now, might as well learn what it is... Ah ha!" Sam grinned and pulled up a new file. "What have we got here?"

PROJECT CRUMBLE

OBJECTIVE: Take out the major threats so that Atlantis and the Tide Changers crumble beneath our feet, then rebuild it with ourselves at the top.

TARGETS: Cody Maverick*, KrakenKid*, Professor Pikalus* and Tanith*.

COUNTDOWN TO EXECUTION: 00:00:00

All of them froze when they reached the end. "No way... They're planning to assassinate them! Today!" Selena gaped. "Sam!"

"On it." She answered, already noting the little side notes next to each of their names. She clicked rapidly and moved the notes around so they could see all of them. That's when their blood really ran cold.

"These are their plans to kill each of them... And they're going down right now." Sam narrowed her eyes.

"We have to stop them! That's my Dad!" Blooper shouted, staring to get protective over his own father. "He is not dying on me again!"

Sam went silent for a while before whipping around. "Okay, I have an idea of how we can save everyone, but I need all of your complete cooperation, even if you do hate some of these people."

"No arguments here." Cannibal answered, hoping that Blooper agreed with them. "What do you need us to do?"

Professor Pikalus was getting more and more certain that he was lost the farther away he moved from the lab. Did he get the coordinates right? He wasn't seeing a single penguin king in sight, nor anyone else for that matter.

Checking his phone again, he sighed. He was going the right way, and he would be on his exact coordinates soon, but where was everybody? Cody promised machine that would blow everything he made out of the waters, but he wasn't seeing jack squat. Was it invisible or was Cody pulling another prank on him?

However, Professor mentally shrugged to himself. He might as well just fully check rather than give up when he was so close.

Making his final strides, he landed right where he was supposed to, but nothing was in sight. Professor rolled his eyes. "What does that penguin think he's doing? Did he lead me away from the lab so he could mess around with my pets again?" Professor Pikalus groaned to himself. "Fool me once, shame on you but fool me twice..."

Professor turned away but faster than he could move, the ground below him trembled and metal bars shot up from the ground and boxed him in, even making a roof so he couldn't swim out. To make matters worse, some kind of bracelet attached to his ankle, holding him down.

Professor growled, tugging at the bracelet before beginning to grow enraged. But no matter how mad he got, he felt no changes in himself.

"Trying to Hulk up?" Came an oddly robotic voice. Professor's head shot up and had to crank around to see who was speaking.

This being wore a mask to cover their face, one that resembled a fox and held a dagger in their hand while having a pistol at their side. "It won't work. That bracelet makes sure of that. Now," They tossed the blade so it stuck in his shoulder blade, making him hiss in pain. "I think you're going to sit tight while I stop your heart."

They made a grab for their gun but a different dagger, this one being pink, flew through the water and scraped his hand, causing it to recoil. Both of them turned their attention to a smirking mermaid in front of them.

"Not if I stop yours first!" Selena challenged, pulling her sword out and preparing herself to spring forward. The attacker's eyes narrowed and did the same, pulling out a sword of their own.

The both of them bolted at the other and clashed swords in the middle. The attacker seemed to have the upper hand, managing to push her back. They glanced down, only now realizing that Selena was only using one hand to wield and keep her sword firmly in place. They chuckled. "Don't you know that you can use both hands in a sword fight?"

Selena just returned a grinned. "Oh of course I do! I'm just using the other one to stab you in the gut with my dagger!"

Shock spread throughout their body but they were too late as Selena did just was she said and watched as they dropped to the ground in pain.

Professor whistled. "Impressive! Now get me out of here!"

Selena rolled her eyes. "A little ungrateful to someone who just saved your life..."

Tanith grinned as she pulled the cookies from the oven and placed them on the counter. Pulling off her oven mitts, she sighed at her work. "What do you say, Larry? Best batch yet?"

Larry made some sort of noise and though she wasn't entirely sure what he was saying, it sounded positive. "And what makes cookies complete without milk! That's what everyone tells me at least." She winked at the mimic before quickly pouring herself a glass and taking a sip.

"Nice to have some downtime, you know?" Tanith chuckled as she glanced down at Larry. "I mean, just making cookies and hanging out with my little partner, what is better than that?"

Tanith downed her milk but as she reached to pour more, Blooper crashed through her glass back door and tumbled on the ground. The sudden action caused her to draw her m9 gun, but she soon tucked it away when she realized who it was. Rushing to his side to heal him, she started to ask questions. "Blooper, what are-"

"No time!" He gasped, getting up and brushing the broken glass off like it was nothing. "Whatever you do, do NOT drink the milk!"

Tanith's face paled. "And... What would happen if I did?"

"It's filled with coral snake poisoning and drinking it could- you already drank it, didn't you?"

Tanith could feel her chest starting to tighten up and her body twitch. "M-maybe." She stuttered and crumbled to the ground. "Ohhhhhhh no." She slurred, now starting to feel her body betray her.

Blooper's heart beat out of control. "How do you stop this? Can't you heal it or something?"

"P-poison is c-c-complicated!" She managed to get out. "Antidote ma-maybe could work. Larry!" She called, getting the mimic to rush around and start spitting out ingredients into Blooper's hands. "B-b-behind y-you!"

Blooper whipped around to find a brewing stand just waiting for him. Rushing over to it, he put the glass bottle filled with water Larry had provided on it. "Spider's eye, the tooth, nether wart and the golden melon!" Tanith stammered.

"What?" Blooper called out.

"In that order, put the ingredients in and let them dissolve for a minute before m-m-m-moving on to the next! Spider's eye, the tooth, nether wart and m-melon!"

Blooper gulped and dropped the eye in first, watching it dissolve before patiently waiting. Then, the next was in. He glanced behind himself as Tanith gritted her teeth and winced in pain. He groaned and put the next one in. "Hurry up!" He told the brewer, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Finally finishing it up, he rushed over to the hybrids side and forced the solution to her mouth.

Tanith gulped it down, then gasped, flailing around. "Holy- what just happened?" She asked, turning to Blooper for answers.

"What I really want to know is how the snake you're part of is also the snake venom you are most vulnerable to?" Blooper countered, raising his eyebrows.

Tanith chuckled lightly. "My species is really weird, okay? It's poetic or something, just help me up."

Cody moved ahead, scanning his eyes around before his troops reached him, then scouted ahead again.

It had been a while since he was out of the field, just for himself, but it sure felt good. He forgotten how the slight tides in the air felt against his feathers, and how much he loved scouting ahead for his troops, though they protested, saying he was too valuable, he didn't care.

Cody was going to enjoy himself. He was going to have a good time, even if it killed him.

Something zipped through the air and a slight pain in his neck made Cody sway. Suddenly, he really wished he worded it differently.

Before he could even make a sound, his knees bucked and he flopped to the ground without a second to catch his breath. Cody's eyes moved around, now being pretty much the only thing he could move and searched for his troops.

For a second, he saw the blue armor but soon, it all dropped to the ground, just like he did.

Footsteps approached him, but he couldn't see a thing since it was behind him and his head refused to move. "What a shame..." The voice tsked, now telling him they were a girl. "How the mighty fall... Literally in this case!" They laughed, then came the cocking of a gun that stopped his heart.

"Oh well, game over."

Cody tried to move around, but then a shot rang out. He waited for sudden pain, but it occurred to him that the shot didn't hit him. Instead, a grunt came from the same female behind him and a different voice came.

"Get away from him!" Cody couldn't believe his ears. That wasn't CannibalCrab, was it?

"Oh are you-" her voice was cut off by another gunshot and soon, he could hear the clanging of swords. His body began to regain itself, but it still needed another minute. His attacking ran for a moment, seemingly forward before jumping over his body and pivoting around to face him.

They wore a suit and a mask, the mask having eight, red eyes on it, similar to a spider. Her brown hair was put up in a high ponytail. They raised their gun right at Cody's head, but right as shot, a redish-orange figure blocked him and took the hit instead. They groaned before throwing their sword right at them, hitting their arm.

It was only then that the spider girl retreated. "Stupid crab!" She roared, clutching her arm as she fled.

CannibalCrab called after her. "WHO'S NOT A HIGH LEVEL THREAT NOW?"

Cody finally gained feeling and shot up in disbelief. "Did you just take a bullet for me?"

CannibalCrab groaned, cradling his right shoulder which now had blood all over it. "Maybe... It was for a deal. Now do me a favor and promise me that you're not telling anyone."

"Considering you saved my life, I can grant you that." Cody chuckled.

KrakenKid fumed to himself as he swam furiously out the tunnels. "Where are they?" He grumbled. "Cannibal and Blooper should have been back by now!"

KrakenKid pulled out his tracker in an instant and began to search for the purple dot on the map, and now switching it on to find a orange one as well. "Ah, there they are! Why is Cannibal so far away? I thought he knew how to use a tracker." KrakenKid scoffed before turning his eyes to his son. "Now where are- wait... Is that Tanith's house? What is he-"

"KRAKENKID! GET DOWN!" KrakenKid felt the wind get knocked out of him as someone tackled him to the ground and a shot rang through the air, whizzing right past him.

KrakenKid groaned but had no time to recover as they proceed to drag him to cover as an endless rain of bullets came. It took him a minute to actually process who it was. "Uhhh... Sam?"

Sam basically tossed him aside like a rag doll and he hit the wall, groaning. "What... What is going on?"

Sam joined him, pressing her back against the wall. "Someone's trying to kill you."

"Why am I not surprised?" KrakenKid chuckled before curiosity got to him. "Who is it? They with Atlantis?"

"Not exactly." Sam replied. "They live there, but they certainly don't believe in the same things as us. Trust me, they're no friend of Cody's."

KrakenKid sat up, but still remained seated and now leaned against the wall. "Then who-"

"Do you remember someone named Annon?"

KrakenKid rolled his eyes. "How could I forget him? He tried to put a bullet in my head."

"Well," Sam started, now pulling out a bow and arrows. "Think of this guy as his best friend, trying to carry out his legacy."

KrakenKid would have asked more, and how she knew this, but then paused. Something was wrong. "When did he stop shooting?"

Sam perked up as well, now realizing the same thing, and not a moment too soon. The sniper popped around the corner, but Sam drew first, putting an arrow right through his heart and making him and his black swirl mask, drop to the ground.

KrakenKid stared at the body. "Sheesh... Remind me never to piss you off again."

*********************************************************************

WOOO! Lots of stuff!

I'm actually pretty tired so editing is gonna be pretty bad so bare with me, but I did it!

Remember Annon? Well, he wasn't working alone. He was working with an organization who likes to cause chaos, "From The Shadows" and wanted to kill four people. However, ironically, the four people they neglect are the ones who bring them down. And now that their operations is going to be exposed as soon as possible, they really messed up.

In a way, Cannibal's bitter "Ace thought we were threats" comment actually proves that Ace is a lot smarter than this organization and saw what they didn't in Selena, Sam, CannibalCrab and Blooper. He took them seriously while The Shadows did not. That was their downfall.

Annon also makes somewhat of an appearance even thought he's dead, and oddly enough, he will do it again. I've mentioned Annon's sister a couple times, and maybe if you piece together everything I've given, you can kinda find out who it is. Maybe... I don't know, I'm not the one reading it. Moving on.

The files and pressure points thing was a lot of fun. I like to imagine that even though some people have more pressure points than others, the people with the least might also be more vulnerable to what they have. Also, I realized that crap man, Tanith really does have a lot of pressure points. It's a wonder why no one has attempted to use those against her.

Yet.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Be sure to comment what you thought and such, and goodbye!
