Author's Note: Before we start this, I should tell you that this entire chapter is pure texts, so it's going to be a different format than normal. I will tell you that it's going to tell you who the people that are texting each other are and what time it is before I start it, as well as who says what. A little confusing, but it was fun to do something different! This is most likely going to be the only time I do a format like this. All of this happens in the same day, by the way.

Cody: I've had this feeling since I've woken up from my coma, and I really don't like it

Blooper: He was acting all high and mighty! He was just begging for good old "Bully Baby Blooper"!

Selena: The one filled with pictures of memes that you inserted yourself into? Yeah, I got that.

Blooper: Yeah! My Dad made a lot that time. Those are the last remaining ones

Blooper: Don't worry. They were frozen so they're good to eat

Selena: How many did your Dad make?

Blooper: Nobody understood how he could mess up the proportions that bad

Blooper: I guess he thought that all of the ingredients that would make a dozen was just for one and made a bunch or something

Blooper: You should have seen it! He needed so much help to finish it! He called in almost everyone that wasn't busy, even Tanith! But she's over here all the time anyways so it's okay

Blooper: I swear no one could take him seriously for like a week!

Blooper: Everyone just called him "The muffin man"

Selena: Wow, I'm so going to get him for that

KrakenKid: I don't mean to freak you out, but I keep getting his chilling feeling

KrakenKid: I keep having to look over my shoulder but no one's there, I feel on edge and jittery and just creeped out!

Darrel: Do you feel like someone is watching you?

KrakenKid: Am I going crazy?

Darrel: Best case scenario, you're just being paranoid from lack of sleep. You had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night, plus Tanith visited you, it's probably that.

KrakenKid: And worst case scenario?

Darrel: Something is watching you.

Darrel: Something bad.

Bartholomew: T, I can't understand you when you speak like that.

Bartholomew: Calm down, collect yourself

Tanith: WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO CALM DOWN?

Bartholomew: Then I guess we won't talk

Tanith: Fiiiiiiine

Tanith: I am calm

Tanith: Perfectly content

Bartholomew: So why'd you just smash a vase in the streets?

Tanith: That's how I calm down!

Bartholomew: No, that's how you heat up. You're adrenaline is still pumping and destruction will only feed it. Calm down, deep breaths.

Tanith: Come on! Can I not freak out for once?

Bartholomew: You freaked out several times last week, you're fine.

Tanith: Cody was in a coma, that was different!

Bartholomew: So why am I still hearing excuses?

Bartholomew: You want to make sure the people you bonded with don't feel overwhelmed by how much emotions you have to deal with, then keep it under control.

Tanith: How are you always right?

Bartholomew: One, I'm not, just I am most of the time and two, I am mostly right because I can think rationally. You let your emotions drive you.

Tanith: Well at least I have a backbone. You couldn't save a kitten from a tree because you'd overthink it and decide to let a professional do it so the kitty has to suffer in a tree for another hour!

Bartholomew: You're over exaggerating but I get the point

Bartholomew: But that's where our "Friendship" comes into play, doesn't it?

Bartholomew: I make sure you analyze the situation properly before doing anything stupid and calming you down, and you provide me a "Backbone" as you call it so I can take the risks I need to survive and be happy.

Tanith: So you admit it? Taking risks can be a good thing?

Bartholomew: I never said it wasn't, just that taking too many isn't good.

Tanith: What was the point of this conversation again? So you can lecture me, praise me and still prove yourself right when I try to correct you? Then again, that's how it always goes, doesn't it?

Bartholomew: That's because it's what you need. A little conflict to distract you never hurts. Do you remember what you were upset about, and how do you perceive it now?

Tanith: .... You smart little prick

Bartholomew: I try.

Bartholomew: And I succeed apparently.

Bartholomew: Answer the question.

Tanith: Oh boy...

Tanith: I was upset about Selena and Sam accusing me of loving someone because it hit too close to home when they did. I now see that it was silly because I shouldn't keep hiding from my problems and deal with them like the "Adult" that I sort of am.

Tanith: Happy?

Bartholomew: I know you were being sarcastic but yes, I'm very happy with your answer.

Bartholomew: I agree, you need to deal with your feels about KrakenKid. How you feel about him is up to you but finding out for yourself is the first step. The path you will take is for later.

Tanith: I never said anything about KK

Bartholomew: Please, It was easy to tell. Cody is too platonic for any feelings to even remotely develop, Pikalus is unstable and you two wouldn't work, Selena is doubtful, Sam would be  pushing it. KrakenKid is not only the logical choice, but it's easy to see if someone knows you.

Tanith: Alright "All mighty deducer" what do I do next?

Bartholomew: Who do you know who might have love advice?

Tanith: You normally respond by now, what's going on?

Tanith: Has anyone heard from Cody in a while?

Professor Pikalus: No actually. He was supposed to come over at 1:00 but I haven't seen him and normally he isn't this late.

Rasmus: Cody was trying to sleep, perhaps he finally did. I will check.

Rasmus: I checked, Cody is not in his room or in the palace at all.

Tanith: Weird. Try asking around, I'll do what I can to help.

Professor Pikalus: Same over here.

Darrel and Tanith

Darrel: Greetings Tanith

Tanith: Who is this?

Darrel: It's Darrel

Tanith: The bluebird from the Tide Changers? How'd you get my number?

Darrel: KrakenKid gave it to me in case of an emergencies.

Darrel: Is KrakenKid with you?

Tanith: No, I haven't spoken with him since 9 AM. Why?

Darrel: He's missing.

Tanith: KK TOO?

Darrel: "Too"?

Tanith: Ignore me and go on.

Darrel: KrakenKid hasn't been seen since 2:15. Last seen leaving the Conch Command and going into the tunnels. He dropped all of his supplies in the tunnels and we have no means of tracking him. He has nothing on him.

Tanith: Not even his gun? He loves that thing!

Darrel: It was left behind with everything else.

Tanith: Okay, again? This is getting uncanny

Darrel: Explain yourself.

Tanith: Cody did the same thing. Guards saw him leave and all of his stuff was found in market. People there said they saw him drop everything like it was nothing and leave. Not even his spear is with him, and once again, he never parts with it. Sound familiar?

Darrel: How odd... I will launch a full scale investigation on our half. Inform me of any developments that come up.

Tanith: Same goes to you. My best wishes go to you on your search.

Darrel: As much as I loathe the penguin, ditto on your part.

Group Chat: Tanith, Selena, Sam and Professor Pikalus

Sam: Anything? Other than a couple guard reports, I've got nothing new. They all say the same thing.

Selena: Nope. Market place knows nothing else other than vague direction of where he went.

Professor Pikalus: Nada, favorite places are a no go. It's like he just disappeared off the map!

Tanith: I've got something, but it's not good news.

Professor Pikalus: I hate to say it, but any news is good news right now. Spill!

Tanith: Cody isn't the only one to disappear. KK has as well.

Selena: KrakenKid is gone?

Sam: Am I the only one getting a bad feeling off of all of this?

Tanith: Nope, I'm sure we all are, which is why we need help.

Selena: What kind of help?

Group chat: Tanith, Selena, Sam, Professor Pikalus, CannibalCrab and Blooper

Tanith: This kinda help.

Sam: You added two new people but my phone doesn't recognize either of them.

Selena: I know one of them! Hi Blooper!

Blooper: Whoa! Who are all these people?

Blooper: Hi Salami!

Professor Pikalus: Wait, if one of these people is Blooper and KrakenKid is missing than that means...

CannibalCrab: PIKALUS

Professor Pikalus: CANNIBAL

Tanith: STOP!

Tanith: Don't fight, we have to work together.

Tanith: Everyone, Cody and KK have both gone missing, we need to find them.

CannibalCrab: Two things: One, how do you have my number? And two, Cody's missing? Why would I care?

Tanith: One, KK gave it to me just in case, same goes for Blooper and two,

Tanith: Well think about it! BOTH LEADERS ARE MISSING! Doesn't that seem suspicious to you? Or at least sinister?

Selena: It kinda does now that you mention it...

Tanith: Exactly! Everyone split up to search Atlantis!

Professor Pikalus: Sounds clear enough. I'll take the beach and the places around it.

CannibalCrab: I'll take the graveyards and that side.

Selena: Sam and I will take the two remaining sectors then!

CannibalCrab: Blooper, stay home and manage information from there.

Blooper: You're just saying that because you want me to stay away from danger

CannibalCrab: I don't want your Father to kill me, is that too much to ask?

Professor Pikalus: Which means Tanith will do the same from her side.

Blooper: Where'd she go?

Sam: She told me she was going home to gather some supplies but I just got here and I'm not seeing anything.

Tanith: Sam, what is it?

Sam: ALL OF HER STUFF IN ON THE GROUND IN HER ROOM!

Sam: JUST LIKE THE OTHER TWO!

Tanith: CALM DOWN AND GET TO THE CASTLE NOW

Tanith: Change of plans everyone! Sam, you come up here with me and bring any proof you have. You need a break. Cannibal and Professor, this happened recently so re-search everything! Don't spare any details!

CannibalCrab: Aye aye captain!

Professor Pikalus: Way ahead of you there.

Blooper: What about me?

Tanith: Stay back! I mean it!

Tanith: Professor, Cannibal? Anything? Everyone else seems to be coming up empty.

Professor Pikalus: Yeah, I found something...

Sam: WHAT?

Professor Pikalus: CannibalCrab's things. He dropped everything

Tanith: Oh thank goodness. We're down two more people.

Sam: Am I the only one noticing that people only disappear when they're alone?

Professor Pikalus: No, I noticed it too.

Sam: Also, does anyone feel like they're being watched? It's kinda creeping me out.

Tanith: WHERE ARE YOU?

Sam: I'm at my house, trying to see if I can find any more clues, why?

Tanith: Cody said the same thing before he disappeared! Get back to the palace!

Sam: Alright, alright! I'm coming!

Blooper: First my Dad disappears

Blooper: If no one else can find them I'm looking for them myself

Tanith: Darrel told me that Blooper left and started acting strange before stop replying all together and Sam never got to the palace

Professor Pikalus: So you're saying we're the only ones who haven't disappeared?

Tanith: Exactly.

Professor Pikalus: That would explain a couple things

Tanith: Don't say it...

Professor Pikalus: I feel like I'm being watched

Tanith: You too? Why does everyone keep disappearing?

Professor Pikalus: I don't know, but I'm not alone! I have a couple interns with me, helping me work on finding anyone

Professor Pikalus: I doubt I'm going to disappear with them in front of me.

Professor Pikalus: Plus, I'm not going down without a fight

Tanith: And you think the others weren't the same? Get a larger group of people! Stick together

Professor Pikalus: You know what's even more sinister?

Professor Pikalus: Cody, KrakenKid, Selena, CannibalCrab, Sam and Blooper are the only people to disappear. All other Atlanteans are fine and no one feels unsafe

Tanith: So you're implying someone is targeting us? Why?

Professor Pikalus: Cody and KrakenKid are leaders of powerful groups

Professor Pikalus: Sam and Selena are a force to be reckoned with and popular among Atlantis, despite being huge pranksters and sparing no one

Professor Pikalus: CannibalCrab is a general and Blooper would probably take KrakenKid's place if he were gone

Professor Pikalus: I'm a general and a scientist and you're a powerful sorceress

Tanith: You think I'm powerful?

Professor Pikalus: Well yes. But the point is, think about who all of us are so someone opposing Atlantis. If you were to go against Atlantis, what would you do?

Tanith: I'd take out the threats

Tanith: Are you implying that someone is taking out the threats so that they can take over?

Professor Pikalus: Precisely

Professor Pikalus: I need to test my theory

Tanith: Professor, don't!

Professor Pikalus: I sent all of the interns out

Professor Pikalus: If I disappear, you'll know I'm right

Tanith: PROFESSOR! THAT'S A TERRIBLE IDEA! STOP IT NOW!

Tanith: Professor?

Tanith and Cody

Tanith: I know you disappeared a long time ago, but I don't know who else to talk to, so I'll make it quick.

Tanith: Everyone else disappeared. You and KrakenKid were first to go and slowly, the rest of us were drained away. Professor stopped replying a long time ago, and I've tried searching around but nothing comes up.

Tanith: I'm all that's left

Tanith: And I get it now. I feel like I'm being watched, even as I text you

Tanith: Guards said that when you left the palace, you were acting aloof, which I found hard to believe, but I don't think it was you

Tanith: I think there's something a lot more sinister going on here, and that Professor was right

Tanith: That it's taking us so we're not threats to whatever's going on here

11: 55 PM

Tanith: I wonder when I'll disappear

Tanith: Every second is agony to waiting

Tanith: Who knows, maybe I'm not much of a threat and it'll leave me alone?

Tanith: Wishful thinking, is it not?

Tanith: One last question:

Tanith: You know how I often prefer to just go inside someone's house instead of waiting for someone to open the door for me?

Tanith: You and everyone doesn't do it, right?

Tanith: So hypothetically, if I just heard a door from downstairs creek open, and not from some ocean current or something, I should panic? Because people don't normally walk into each other's houses without criminal intent?

Tanith: Someone is in my house

I've been wanting to do this for so long.

Making something silly and kinda funny at first, but slowly making it sinister until we're left with nothing left.

But fear not, more will come later, and they're not dead. Just... Well, you'll see.
