Again in the deep sea of Atlantic ocean. A young mermaid was simply gliding in the water. Surprisingly near the surface like a normal human without her tail and in a beautiful pink dress.

She heard some sound. She stopped and turned around. She frowned as she saw that someone was trying to save itself from drowning.

She battled if she should go or not. It can be harmful for her. She decided not to go and was about to turn back but stopped seeing the speed of his/her hand motion decreasing and him/her sinking down.

Without any further thought she fast swam near them and found that it was a boy of same age like hers.

His eyes were closed but his face was clear. His fair white skin, his perfect jawline, his sharp nose. But he was not breathing.

She shook him but got no response. She patted his cheek but still nothing happened. She thought was should she do to save him. She closed her eyes attached her lips with his blowing some air in his mouth.

As her lips touched his she felt electrified. She got goosebumps all over her body. She detached her lips and found him being the same. She again blew air in his mouth.

This time he breathed out and opened his eyes. Their eyes met. She smiled at him and he smiled too. Her hands were still on his face. He lift his hand to touch her but suddenly he was pulled upward.

She didn't got time to react she looked up and then forward where she found her mother little away from her with a little scared face. She easily guessed that her mother pushed him up by her magic.

Beep!!! Beep!!! Beep!!

Anika jerked out of her thoughts when she heard a beeping sound. She was still in Celestina's room so she could any how get her permission. She sat in front of window of her room. Whenever she sit idly her mind reminds her of the same incident which took place when she was 12.

Anika's thought broke by the sound. She looked around to get the source of the sound. She scanned everything but found nothing. She kept her ears on her wardrobe room and guess the sound must be coming from that and opened her wardrobe. She found a small box which was kept hidden in her wardrobe.

She frowned and opened it. In which a pocket watch beeping. She took it out. It was still ringing.

She tried to stop it but all went it vain. After sometime it stopped ringing. Anika sighed. She tried to open it. But it was customized so there was a technique to open it. She tried hard but nothing worked.

Anika: what is this? Why can't I open it?

Celestina came to her room and saw Anika trying to open the pocket watch. Her expressions horrified she ran to her and snatched it from her.

Celestina: what are you doing here Anika?

Anika: mom what's this? And why was it ringing?

Celestina (ignoring the topic): nothing. You go to your room or go with your friends

Anika: but I want to know that. What is it?

Celestina (angrily): why are you so stubborn Anika. I said it's nothing. Just go.

Anika (frowned): mom why are you getting angry? I just asked a simple question.

Anika noticed something different in her behavior. She held her arms and asked in a calm tone.

Anika: mom what happened?

Celestina (avoiding her eye): nothing

Anika: mom you know you can't hide anything from me. What's the matter?

She looked in her eyes. It was time. Time to reveal the truth to her. A single tear dropped down her eyes as it slipped from her cheeks it turned in a pearl. Anika panicked

Anika: mom what happened why are you crying?

Celestina: I am sorry my love. I am really very sorry

Anika: why? Why are you being sorry?

Celestina: I wanna tell you something.

"What??"

"Yes sir" answered Marks. Shivaay's P. A.

"What's wrong with them? It's the third time they are postponing the meeting. Do they value the words they speak." Screamed an angry Shivaay.

Marks didn't had the courage to say anything seeing the hungry lion in front of him who was ready to chew him raw.

Shivaay: tell them Marks if they want to work with The Oberois they should be here at 4 today. Go!!

Marks didn't move a bit. Shivaay raised his eyebrow. "What are you waiting for?? Go!!" Screamed Shivaay.

"Ye... Yes sir" he ran away.

Shivaay sighed and rested his head on the head rest and loosen his tie.

Someone knocked the door. Shivaay opened his eyes settled his tie and asked them to come in.

"Someone seems to be very angry" spoke the person who just entered.

Shivaay: and what brought you here at this time??

"Can't I come to see my brother??" Questioned the person dramatically.

Shivaay (rolling his eyes): come on Om stop your drama

Om grinned and sat in front of him and kept his legs on the edge of his table.

Shivaay (irritated): get that dirty feet of yours down and sit properly

Om huffed and sat properly. Shivaay took the tissue box and threw at him but he caught it. Om took some tissues out and wiped that portion where he placed his feets. (Which was actually clean by the way)

Om (completing his work): is that okay for you?

Shivaay: yeah much better.

Om: sometimes your OCD irritates me.

Shivaay didn't spoke anything and took a sip of Expresso while checking some files.

Om: bhai!!!

Shivaay (without looking at him): hmm!!

Om: I came to say that I am leaving.

Shivaay: why??

Om: my work is completed and I want to leave before that chipku ladki comes.

Shivaay's eyes widen. "Is she coming?" Om nodded yes "Why didn't you told me before??" Said Shivaay.

Om passed a mischievous grin to him. He glared and threw a file on him but he dodged it. Clicking his tongue out to him he ran away before his brother chew him raw.

Shivaay: tu ghar pe mil beta.

He took his car keys and cell phone he was about to leave but it was too late. The knob of his cabin door clicked and a beautiful lady entered in with a cheeky smile.

Girl: hey SSO!!

Shivaay (with uninterested voice): hey Sarah!! How are you?

Sarah: all good. How about you?

She hugged him. He made an irritated face but place her hand on her back unwillingly.

Shivaay (with a fake smile): I am fine too.

Sarah: are you going somewhere?

Shivaay: ya actually I have a meeting. So bye..

He tried to run but she stopped him. Shivaay again passed a fake smile.

Sarah: don't lie SSO you don't have any meeting. Marks told me you are free.

Shivaay (thought): I am gonna fire him. How can he tell her that? Gawwdd!! Save me please.

Sarah: come on I wanna talk to you.

Shivaay: but Sarah I have a important work to be done. I'll catch you later.

Sarah: why are you running away SSO?

Shivaay: no I am not

Sarah: you are now come on sit.

She pulled him on the couch. She talked with him on some completely nonsense stuff. Shivaay was getting bored.

Sarah Kloss

Top model of Oberoi Fashion House. She is the daughter of Tej's friend Mr. Roberts Kloss. So she is a so called friend of Shivaay. If her father was not his father's friend. He would never even allow her close to him. She can anytime enter his cabin that's what she thinks. Can do also as he can't refuse her. Shivaay: nothing. Why are you going to Paris??

Sarah: actually I got a call from Vogue Magazine. They wants me as their Model for their new Magazine.

Shivaay: oh that's great. When are you leaving? (Muttering) I hope kal hi jana ho isska. Kal kyu aaj hi, aaj kya abhi. Jaa meri maa. Baksh de mujhe.

Sarah: OMG!!

Shivaay: what happened?

Sarah: I will have to leave tomorrow and I haven't packeted my stuffs

Shivaay (thought): haashh!! Bala tali. (Dramatically) hey Jesus!! Thank you. Thank you aapne meri sun ni. Ab church mein aake 11 candles jalaunga.

Shivaay (aloud): then what are you waiting for? Go go hurry up!!

Sarah: yeah I need to leave. See you soon. Bye SSO

Shivaay: yaa bye.

She hugged him. Shivaay closed his eyes in irritation but maintained a fake smile. She broke the hug and ran

He huffed and dropped himself on the couch.

Shivaay: oh god!! What an headache!! Thank god she is leaving. And mere pyare O tu dekh aaj main tere saath kya karta hun.

Again their was a knock. He settled himself back to his rude self and asked them to come in. Marks came in.

Marks: sir the meetings is fixed at 4 as you asked.

Shivaay: good. Now if they again back off their words ask them to find some other jobs. Cause I would make sure they are completely bankrupt and not even a single penny is left.

He flicked his hair (which's SSO's style) and continued his work.

Celestina took Anika in a secret room. Which was all dark.

Anika: why is it so dark mom?

Celestina snapped her finger. The windows opened letting the sunlight enter in and the room turned bright. There were some paintings and sketches. In which tiny newborn Anika and young handsome man was present.

Anika: who is he mom?

Celestina: He Is Your Father Anika

Anika's legs sticked to the ground as if someone hammered it to the ground. She was completely shocked.

She wanna scream but all came out from her mouth was "What??" As a whisper.

Celestina: yes!!

Anika looked at the painting then to her mom who was crying. She approached the painting and caressed her father's face.

"Where is he mom??" Asked Anika turning towards her.

Anika: Where is he? Why didn't you tell me about him before? Does he know I am his daughter? Or does he even know that he have a daughter? Tell me mom.

Celestina: yes he know that he have a daughter.

Anika: then why didn't he came ever in these many years??

Celestina: cause he doesn't know where are we?

Anika: why? Please tell me everything

Celestina: yeah. Come with me

Celestina stepped out of the room followed by Anika. She closed everything and when to the balcony of her room. She sat on a chair and Anika joined her. Waiting patiently for the mom to say something.

Celestina: can you see that

She pointed something. She turned her face and saw that there were tall buildings which appeared tiny from there.

Celestina: your father lives there. In New York.

Anika: "The City That Never Sleeps" or "Gotham" but it's popularly known as "The Big Apple" it is called as "The Big Apple" because......

Celestina (interrupting): I don't wanna know the history. Please Anika...

Anika (lifting her hands up): okay. Continue.

Celestina: yeah thank you (Anika chuckled and Celestina shook her head) so I too wanted to see the world like you. And I met him there....

Anika (interrupting): you went there. Then why can't I?

Celestina: will you let me complete?

Anika: okay. Sorry

Celestina: human being have to work to get food and stuffs for their basic needs. They work, they get money and the buy stuffs. No one give anything for free they will ask money for anything they give. I didn't have anything so someone suggested me to get some job as I was young. I some how got a job in a bar. As a bartender.

Anika: what's bar?

Celestina: A bar is a long narrow table or bench designed dispensing beer or other alcoholic drinks. And bartender is....

Anika: is one who serves drinks in the bar. Correct?

Celestina: yup!! You know everything. Then why you always tests me?

Anika giggled and Celestina smacked her head playfully.

Anika: continue

Celestina: he used to come with some of his friends to that bar and we met. Don't know what happened to us. Earlier he used to attend once in week ends but lately he started visiting more frequently. We talked, we met outside of the bar and we fell for each other. I completely forgot about me being a Mermaid can't love humans.

A tear rolled down her cheeks and turned into pearls.

Anika: why can't we love humans mom? What's wrong in loving someone.

Celestina: I agree there's nothing wrong in loving someone but I can't stay with him. I had the responsibilities on my shoulder. But still I decided that I will choose my love. Marcelline will be next Queen. Everyone agreed and we got married. And you were born. Our symbol of love. We were happy very happy. You were his lucky charm before you were born his business was not so successful. But as you popped out he got a biggest deal of his career. But for that he have to fly to other countries.

Anika: then?

Celestina: when he went away. A sea witch attacked our subjects and my parents. They were killed by her. As I got the news I had to come. To save our subjects. I immediately took you and came back to the sea. I somehow caged her and saved our subjects. But I didn't knew everyone would force me to be the Queen as I saved them. I had leave him. I unwillingly had to choose my responsibility against my love. He must be searching for me. I just left a note that. I will come soon. But I can't....

She sobbed and more pearls were formed. Anika's eye too dropped a pearl. She hugged her mom and rubbed her arm to console her.

Anika: don't cry mom. You know I don't like tears in your eyes.

Celestina: I love him Anika. I love him. The reason I don't let you go there is just a tiny one. If you too found your love like me. You won't be able to stay away from him. The pain of separation is so deep that you'll be shattered. And I don't wanna lose my chirpy little girl. My love.

Anika: I understand mom. I totally understand. But please tell me one thing.

She broke the hug and wiped her tears.

Anika: will you go back to him if I take up the responsibilities?

Celestina was shocked by her question all of a sudden. She didn't have any answer. She can't leave her daughter nor can she live without him anymore.

Anika: tell me mom

Celestina: Anika...

Anika: please mom. Tell me you will. Promise me you will. You will live happily. With your love, with my father.

Celestina: then what about you?

Anika: I am grown up now. I can handle my self. And whenever you want to meet me we will meet right?

Celestina: yeah. Thank you Anika

Anika: no mom. You've suffered a lot. Not anymore. Now you will think of yourself after I come back.

Celestina (frowned): what do you mean? Where are you going?

Anika: to New York.

Celestina: no!!

Anika: Mom it's not fair. You can go and I can't.

Celestina: but Anika....

Anika: mom please!! I request. Please. Pretty please

Celestina: okay. But I want you to be safe there.

Anika excitedly hugged her mom and kissed her cheeks.

Anika: thank you thank you so much mom. I love you

Celestina: love you too.

Anika turned to go but Celestina stopped her.

Celestina: wait.

Anika (turning back): yeah

Celestina gave the pocket watch to her.

Celestina: it is yours, your father gifted you this. Never lose it. Okay?

Anika: okay. But why can't I open it?

Celestina: cause it's customized. There's a technique to open it. Which only he know. When I asked he said it's between you and him. So he'll only tell to you.

Anika smiled. She turned again to go but Celestina's words stopped her. "What if history repeats itself?" Anika turned back. She gave a faint smile to her.

"Then my daughter will send me back to my love like I will do" Anika's word tensed her more. One side is her happiness and other side is care for her. She will never want Anika in her shoes. But her happiness matters the most to her.

She kissed her forehead and Anika went out of her room and got in Aqua's room.
