"Wakie up Princess" a cerulean eyed man in his late 50's, kissed his daughter's forehead who was soundly sleeping hugging her teddy, Piku.

But she was in no mood to get up. He called her again but she didn't move even a bit.

He sighed. "Come on baby wake up. See I have made you favourite Aaloo Puri. If you didn't get up now Ash and Nushkie will eat that whole."

"No.... I won't let them eat my Aaloo Puri. How dare they eat my favourite without me!!" She jumped on bed. He smiled and shook his head, she was same as her mom in terms to food.

She saw her father smiling and realized that it was just a trap. "Not again Dad" she dropped herself on the bed again.

"Arey phir se so gai.... get up sleepy head"

"Let me sleep na" she mumbled burying her head in the pillow.

"Ashi.... get up bacha" he pulled her up.

"Um.... meri neend ke dushman." She winced and finally got up. "Who does like that?"

"I am sorry but it's the only way...." he said with a shrug of his shoulder.

"Of course not. There are other ways"

"Oh really like?" He rested his chin on his plam.

"Like..... like....."

"Like?"

"Okay fine. You won"

"Wow!!! Am I dreaming or what? Ashi Singh Oberoi have accepted her defeat." Two young girls entered in her room.

"Shut up Noori" she threw a pillow towards her but she caught it.

"Good morning Bade Papa" both of them royally ignored her.

"Good morning pretty girls" he replied with a smile.

"So ready for the first day at college Noori?" Ashi asked.

"I am hell excited" Ashnoor, youngest amongst the three exclaimed.

"What about you Anu?"

"What about me Bade Papa? It's not my first day." Said Anushka.

"Yaa but first of your second year."

"Yeah not much excited as her" she smacked her head.

Ashnoor frowned but didn't say anything as it's their every day thing now.

"Good morning girls" two men entered.

"Good morning Dad / Chachus" the girls replied.

"Good morning Bhai / Bhaiyaa"

"Good morning OmRu"

"What are you guys talking about?" Om asked.

"About our Noori's first day of college"

"College haan.... my Princess have grown too" Om said kissing her forehead.

"Yup" ShivRu agreed.

"Come on guys stop being senti now" Ashnoor rolled her eyes.

"Okay... Okay. Now you three get ready and come fast. Let's have breakfast." Shivaay said getting up.

"Okay Dad / Bade Papa"

Everyone got up and went to their room. While Ashi went to get ready.

"Okay Alex. I want the files to be done by this eve" A young, dashing and handsome guy, asked his P.A. in a high authoritative voice.

Alex took the file and went out nodding his head. The guy got up taking the cup of tea and stood before the glass wall watching the City Of Love, Paris.

Sipping his Adrak Wali Chai and staring the city from his lavish cabin make him feel peaceful in his hectic schedule every day. A sweet smile crept on his lip.

"Come in Sid" he asked the one who was about to knock.

"How can you always guess that it's me?" Siddharth asked coming in.

"Cause I can sense you"

"Geezz!! It sounds like you're my girlfriend instead of brother Sumi"

"Don't call me Sumi I am......"

"Sumedh Malhotra. I know that. No need to introduce yourself to me. I know you since we were not even one" Siddharth interrupted.

Both are twins and 24 year old.

Sumedh shook his head and sat on the bossy chair. Siddharth also sat before him.

"Tell me what is it?" He asked sipping his tea.

"Ya so I was telling that....."

He was interrupted by a knock. Sumedh asked who ever it was to come.

"Yes Madison?" Siddharth asked (Madison is his P.A.)

"Umm.... sir I just got the message of Miss Surbhi's P.A., Mr. Martin that she is coming today."

"What? Mom's coming?" Both exclaimed with a child like happiness

"Yeah. Mr. Martin said the same"

Siddharth was about to jump in excitement but controlled himself and asked Madison to leave.

"Finally mom's coming back" He exclaimed as Madison went.

"Yup. Let's go we'll make her favourite for dinner"

"But what about the meeting with Kapoors?"

Sumedh closed his eyes with his palm in annoyance. He can't cancel the meeting nor he can't wait to meet his mom who left just two days ago.

But a second later he looked at Siddharth with a sinister smirk. Siddharth completely understood that look and his face horrified.

"No"

"Yes"

"Sumi no"

"Yes Sid"

"That's not fair"

"Every thing is fair. Now you'll attend the meeting and I'll be leaving to make mom's favourite food. All the best dear brother"

He left taking his phone and car keys.

"How I wish I have not promise mom that I'll follow whatever you say" he stomped his feet like kid.

"Your bad" Sumedh said peeping his head in and left immediately.

Siddharth made a grumpy face and went to attend the meeting.

"Dad!!!" Ashi entered Shivaay's cabin with some files in her hand.

"Yup?" He kept the file he was reading down.

"Your signatures are needed in these files" she placed on the desk.

"Okay. I'll do it." He took the files and was about to sign but Ashi stopped him.

"Dad atleast check it first"

"You checked it right?"

"Ya but....."

"Then I trust my daughter."

"No you'll check it first and then only gonna sign it"

"Okay fine stubborn brat..... but I do it later."

"Not a problem and I am not stubborn"

"Yeah can see that" Ashi rolled her eyes at that and he shook his head.

"Anyways I am leaving"

"Where?"

"I have meeting with the William Brothes."

"Ohh okay All the best"

"It's not my first meeting Dad"

"Yeah but it's quite hard to deal with those William Brothers"

"Yeah I know."

"But I am sure you'll crack it and make us proud"

"I'll try my best and won't let you down"

"That's like my girl. Now go"

"Yup bye"

"Bye Bacha"

She left. Shivaay took a frame from the drawer.

"Did you see Mrs. Oberoi? Our daughter has grown too old. She've handled the business so well that I or Om rarely come to office. I am sure you'll be proud of her too when you come back."

He kissed the frame and kept it back safely.

"Why isn't she here yet Sumi?" Siddharth asked again pacing left to right before the gate of their heavenly beautiful Mansion.

"I don't know she should have come ame by now."

"I'll call Madison"

"We've already call her thrice. Let's wait for a while"

"Okay." He kept his phone back in his pocket.

"Missed me anyone?" They heard a voice.

"Mom!!" Both looked at each other first before turning towards the entrance.

A woman in her late 50's entered with her hands wide open and a smile on her face. Both the boys ran to her and hugged her.

"How are you?" She pulling off the hug.

"Awesome"

"Good"

"Welcome back Miss Malhotra" Olivia, their most loyal and the oldest house help came and greeted her master passing a glass of water to her.

"Thanks Olivia" She placed back the glass.

"Miss Olivia. Please get the dining table ready. Today, Miss Surbhi Malhotra's beloved sons have made her favourite." Siddharth said dramatically.

Olivia smiled went. Surbhi and Sumedh shook their head.

"Leave him mom. You go and freshen up"

"Okay"

She left towards her room.

"Wow!!!!" Anushka closed her eyes in delight. "Bade Papa it's awesome"

"Yes Bade Papa. It's Yummylicious" Ashnoor said.

"What's Yummylicious?" Soumya asked

"Yummy + Delicious." Everyone shook their head while she smiled sheepishly.

"Tum meri hi beti ho. (You're my daughter only)" said Rudra.

"Seriously bhaiyaa it's awesome." Gauri too complimented.

"Thank you. By the way it's Anika's recipe"

Everyone snapped their head towards Ashi who angrily dropped the spoon.

"What happened Ashi?" Khanna asked.

"Dad was it necessary to take that lady's name?" She asked in annoyance.

"That lady is your Mother and my wife Ashi" he said calmly.

"Oh please Dad. If she is my mother or your wife then she would be here with us"

"Ashi....." Rudra was about to say something but she interrupted.

"Rudy chachu please."

"But Ashi listen to us"

"What should I listen Omie chachu? Why? Why you all keep on ranting her name every single day? Please stop that cause she don't care. She don't give a fuck to us...."

"Ashi stop it..." Shivaay was still calm.

"Why should I? I am fed up of this Anika Anika of yours every day. One day atleast one can't pass without taking her name or talking about her. Why? Is she a goddess? No right. Then why? Since last 24 year you guys keep on chanting her name. She left.... did you hear that? She left us. She don't care then why should we? I never saw her face bor do I want to. You know why? Cause she is a selfish bitch....."

"Ashi!!!!! I asked you to stop" Shivaay raised his voice a little. Ashi was quite taken aback as he raised his voice for the first time on her.

"Not a word more. Whatever she did isn't right but she is your mother. So respect her"

Ashi angrily stood up and was about to go but Shivaay stopped her.

"Where are you going? Sit back and finish everything."

"I don't wanna eat pr have anything that is anywhere related to her."

She agin turned to go but this time Shivaay loose his cool and shouted.

"Ashi!!!!!!"

She flinched and stopped.

"I said sit back and finish your lunch."

She looked at him and got scared. That is the look she never saw. For the first time ever he raised his voice. A single tear slipped out of her eye. 

Om placed his hand on his shoulder. Shivaay closed his eyes seeing the droplet of tear and his anger just flew away.

Ashi sat back on her seat. She took the spoon with a shakey hand. She was not used to this. He never scold her for anything. If she is wrong, he'll explain her calmly but never increase the volume of his voice.

Shivaay pulled her chair near his and took the spoon from her hand. He took spoonful near her lips and she hesitantly ate it without looking at him.

"I won't apologise cause I am not wrong. You should not say all those things about your mother."

"I know but I just can't tolerate now. Papi and Nani (Aarav and Celestina.) are her parents so I understand. But why did she leave us? Me? You said I was just one month old. How can she be so heartless leaving her a month old daughter? Didn't she love me?"

More tears slipped down.

"Shh don't cry baby" he wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.

"She love you infact more than I do. Not only you she love us a lot."

"Then where is she Bade Papa?" Ashnoor asked.

"Yes Bade Papa. If she love us so dearly then where is she? Why Badi Ma didn't show up in these years?" Anushka asked.

"I have no answer for that. But she have her reasons."

"What reasons?"

"I don't have the answer of that too."

"Then......"

"Ashi... can we have our lunch? See since you've cracked the deal with The William Brothers I have made this for you. So have it before it get cold"

She sighed and nodded her head. All continued their lunch.

"I know you might be hating me cause I left you. But I am sorry my Princess. My hands were and are tied. I can't stay with you nor I can live without you. But I have to. I am really sorry my baby. It's okay if you hate me but I love you darling. I will always do."

Surbhi kissed a photo of a month old baby girl she was holding and placed it near her heart. She kept it back safely before proceeded towards the dining room.

Sumedh and Siddharth pulled the head chair for her and she sat. Sumedh served her and Siddharth.

"Wow it's delicious. I must say both of yours cooking skills are improving."

"Thanks a lot mom"

"So how's the business going?"

"Great"

"Hmm what about the deal with the New York delegates?"

"For that we need to go there. But they want to meet you."

"So what did you say?"

"We haven't replied yet."

"I am okay meeting them. You tell them you both will have the meeting with them first and I'll join later"

"Okay mom. But next week"

"Why?"

"You just came and you know we can't live without you, right Sumi?"

"Exactly"

"What exactly? I just left for 2 days."

"Yeah but..."

"What but? You tell them today amd leave tomorrow. And stop being childish now."

"But mom....."

"No ifs and buts"

"Okay. I'll ask Alex to mail them"

They made a grumpy face. Surbhi shook her head. Those 24 year old kids of hers can't stay without her till now. But she can't blame them. She was the same at their age.
