Chapter {(32)} Water

Okay, sorry, but I feel like this book needs to come to an end. There should be one more chapter after this one, but I'm getting rid of this pr- Pshhhh...

Annabeth was sitting on the couch, The Order of The Phoenix sitting in her lap.

Percy was making scrambled eggs, his hair finally turning a dark shade of gray, almost returning to the normal black.

"Percy!" Annabeth screamed.

Percy ran over to the couch, nearly tripping on the rug. "Whah-" he began, before falling over the back of the couch.

"Percy. My water just broke-"

Percy stood up so suddenly, Annabeth jumped. Percy helped her stand up, both arms around her waist.

~ ^ That was just lil filler

The hospital. . . Sucks.

That pretty much clearer up the experience of getting into a hotel room, and breaking Percy's fingers.

~

Percy's face went white as Annabeth squeezed his hand. He was ninety-eight percent sure she had just broken one of his fingers.

One of the nurses that had come in, gave him a look of sympathy. His hands were purple, his face still sheet white.

Annabeth was panting and squeezing Percy's hands.

Absolute perfection.

~ like I'm going to write about childbirth. puhlease.

Annabeth let go of Percy's hands and he blew out through his lips. Annabeth leaned back in the bed, and Percy laced his fingers with hers, though his hands were shaking.

"Don't murder my hands again," he said as he laid his forehead on her leg.

The doctor came back over with two little bundles, and Percy squeezed Annabeth's hand gently.

The doctor gave Percy one bundle (the pink one, naturally) and Annabeth the other.

Percy was just staring at his daughter. It's all he could manage.

Annabeth looked over at her boyfriend, watching him in silence.

"Annabeth," Percy said suddenly.

"Yeah?" She asked, her voice unnaturally weak.

"Today is my mom's birthday. They were born on my mom's birthday, Wise Girl,"

~

"Elizabeth," Percy shrugged.

"I don't know. . . Percy, this is our child. She'll be stuck with this name forever," Annabeth pointed out.

"We could call her-"

"Eliza. Next name,"

"Tori,"

"No,"

"Sam,"

"No. . ."

"Caaaarl,"

"Percy!" Annabeth swatted him and he laughed, leaning on her bed.

"When do you get to leave?" Percy prodded her.

"Tomorrow, I believe,"

Percy huffed, "We're naming her Eliza-" Percy stopped talking suddenly.

Annabeth raised her eyebrows, "You okay, Percy?"

"Would they go by the last name Jackson?"

Annabeth bit her lip, "Yeah,"

There was a long silence.

"I would go by the name Jackson, if I were asked to,"

Percy stared at her blankly. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

"Depends what you think I'm saying,"

Percy pressed his lips to hers, "I love you,"
