Chapter {(28)} Busted
Driving Percy home was probably the worst part of the day. Not when he broke down because he lost his mother. Not when Will told her she was. . . Pregnant. Yeah.
She'd have to get used to that. Percy was leaning against the window, tears staining his face. He was shaking and pale, and slowly tearing Annabeth's heart to pieces.
"Percy," she said quietly, resting her hand on his.
He looked at her, his green eyes broken. Annabeth choked backs a sob and looked at the road again.
"What are we going to do?" Percy managed.
Annabeth bit her lip. She had been wondering the same thing.
"I don't know, Percy. We graduate this year. . . I could stay at home with the baby. . . If you're willing to work." Annabeth added.
Percy sighed, "We're so stupid,"
That sums it up pretty well.
"I love you," Annabeth whispered.
Percy leaned against the car door, "I love you too,"

The next few days were terrible. Percy barely left his room, and almost missed work, and missed the mortgage. He was thinner and his swimming wasn't as good as usual, due to his distractions.
Annabeth eventually had to convince Percy to move out of the apartment and into he house. Frederick allowed it without question, and Helen agreed after she officially met Percy. She adored him.
Annabeth helped Percy move into the guest bedroom, though they both doubted he would be sleeping there much.
Percy sat on the edge of the bed and looked around the room. Annabeth sat down next to him, wrapping her arms around him.
He sighed into her shoulder and laid back on the bed, tugging Annabeth with him.
"Annabeth," Percy whispered, "When are we going I tell your parent about. . . You know-"
"The baby?" Annabeth asked, and Percy nodded. "Soon. I'm just worried,"
Annabeth buried her head in his chest, though a thought kept swirling through her head: What are we?
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Percy blurted, as though reading her mind.
"Yeah," Annabeth smiled, kissing him.
He kissed back, and before Annabeth knew it, she was straddling his waist, his hands under her orange t-shirt.
Annabeth shifted, and Percy moaned involuntarily. Annabeth laughed against his lips, feeling the heat from his face. She forced her hips against him, causing him to moan again. Annabeth resisted the urge to laugh as he lifted her shirt over her head.
Annabeth pulled her lips away from his, allowing him to kiss down her jawline, moving down her neck.
"This already forced a baby upon us, does this really need to happen again?" She panted.
"Not while I'm here to prevent it," came a voice from the doorway.
"Shit," Percy muttered.
~
"You got my daughter pregnant!" Frederick yelled.
Percy flinched, letting Annabeth's dad continue.
"You are no longer welcome in my house! You are not allowed to see my daughter again! If I even hear that you two met up, I will make sure you wish you had never met her!"
Percy looked at Annabeth miserably, "I'll go get my stuff," he managed.
He jogged up the stairs rather hurriedly, Annabeth running after him.
She found him stuffing clothes into his bag and shaking, and she unfortunately knew how he reacted.
"Percy," she said quietly.
Percy turned around and whimpered. Annabeth pulled him into a hug, feeling his shakiness.
"Let's run away," she whispered in his ear.
He pulled away from her, his tear stained face wearing a shocked expression.
"But you're family-"
"After that mess, I'll only miss the twins." Annabeth scoffed.
"Okay," Percy said shakily.
Annabeth took a deep breath and looked down at her stomach, feeling Percy lace his fingers with hers.
They could take care of a baby, right?
