Hatching

A LeafWing egg can only hatch in the close proximity of a tree, preferably at the tree base; this exposure to the plant is what ultimately gives the LeafWing dragonet life and purpose. Their scale colors (and occasionally abilities) are restricted or regulated by which species of tree they hatch under, which will resemble the bark, moss, leaf and other texture from birth. However, if a dragonet egg is not hatched under a tree, it will not hatch and has a fatal possibility of death. Abilities are regulated by the tree as well, but can also be hereditary, such as thick scales, thin scales or a certain tint of color to the wing membrane, but nothing more. For example, a dragonet may have parents born under an Oak tree and Rowan tree, therefor inheriting slight strength in his scales; but if he is born under a pine tree instead, he will be more likely to have fairly fireproof scales and a russet and green color assortment. Eyes however, are only regulated by hereditary functions. 

Abilities

As stated above, advantages or weaknesses vary between between which tree a dragonet was hatched under. The LeafWing tribe has, and never will, have any pure blood dragonet born with animus powers.

Description
A dragonet is more probable to have their main color the bark of the tree, rather than leaves or petals, while their eyes vary from yellow, orange, to a russet color, but nothing past it.
