It was the day of the Five Kage Summit, being held in the Hidden Leaf. You, along with everyone else, were kinda pumped to see all of the Kage together again.

'The last time I witnessed a Summit, I crashed it lol.'

Oh yeah, Hime, you were a part of the Akatsuki at that time.

'Yup! Good times.'

You were a part of the Akatsuki?

'... wasn't I?'

... I don't remember.

Yeah, neither do I.

'... well shit, I'm gonna be confused for the rest of the day.'

You and the rest of the students were at the training hall, where you hoped you'd be able to kick some kids' teeth in, but instead, Iwabe and Metal were getting into it again.

"You sure brag a lot, Metal." Iwabe glared.

"Right back at you, Iwabe!"
Then the two began with lighthearted taijutsu.

"Lord Hokage is obviously the strongest!"

"But that depends on the time and place!"

"What's with them?" The... brown haired cat girl said. (It's been a while I don't remember their names)

"They're arguing about who's the strongest among the Five Kage," Inojin replied. You walked up to him.

"So who's gonna tell them strength is dependant on who you're up against?" You whispered to him.

"I don't think they'd listen."

"Will you two stop! We're still in class!" Shino quickly ran to break the two up. That's when Metal and Iwabe accidentally kicked Shino straight in the face, and he went flopping to the ground.

"... if he pulls some 'collective responsibility' on us again, I'm gonna go apeshit."

A little bit later, after that whole situation was settled, the class were throwing kunai at some targets. 

'Remember my first C rank mission? Where we almost slaughtered by Cow Man?'

You mean Zabuza?

'Same thing. These pansies wouldn't last. Back then, shit was cuttthroat as hell.'

They didn't have nearly as much peace and security then, so obviously things would be more tense.

'I would smoke these losers so fuckin fast.'

You're all teammates, though...

It was after school, and you were home alone while watching the TV.

"We're here in front of the Hokage's Residence," the anchor said, "The air is filled with tension that only the start of the Five Kage Summit can create."

'I wonder how different the Kage's are since... 20 years ago.'

Probably not much different. Gaara and Naruto are about the same age, so he's probably still Kazekage.

The Mizukage and Raikage were already middle aged, so they probably stepped down.

Let's not forget the Tsuchikage was an old man.

'I wonder who replaced them.'
Just then, on the screen, a flash of yellow lightning struck down, and Darui appeared.

'Okay, that makes sense.'
Then mist appeared in another area of the village, rolling over the camera. And Chojuro appeared.

'... wouldn't have been my choice, but okay.'
The ground came up, and Kurotsuchi appeared.

'... wow okay she's hot--'
A tornado of sand whizzed up, and the silhouette of Gaara appeared, before it went away.

'Okay wow, I love Gaara, but what is that haircut--'

He looks his age.

'Still looks hot tho.'

Hime please--

The camera then focused on Naruto, who stood on the roof of the Hokage Residence.

"It's been fifteen years since the Fourth Great Ninja War..."

'Oh wow, I got the math wrong.'

Only by five years.

"Many children have been born since that battle. Not only in the Land of Fire... but all Five Nations made it through without great upheaval, thanks to everyone's persevereance and hard work."
The camera panned out to the Five Kage.

'... hm... they don't give out the same powerful aura that the previous Kage did.'

There's no need to be intimidating, or fearsome. This is a time of peace right now.

'... weaklings.'

"We, the Five Kage, will remain united and protect the peace we won."
You grunted lightly.

What's wrong, Hime?

'I don't know. Like I'm glad everything's peaceful, and everyone gets along, but...'

But you feel like all this will get flushed down the drain. You grew up during unstable relations between major nations. Old habits die hard.

Which leads me to another thing. Y/n. You've done nothing to try and reverse the time reversal. Do you want to stay like this?

'... I just wanna be around for the good parts I guess. Just to see how they adapt to it.'

So that's a no. Why don't you want to go back to your timeline?

You glanced over to the door. Only your shoes were there, but there were extra pairs in a small shelf.

Hime... you do know they aren't actually your family, right?

'I know! I know... it's just...'

You're jealous. You don't want to go back to a time where you were alone, even if the people around you are fake.

'Okay well--...' You sighed.

'Forget it.'
You continued to watch the TV until you felt a tingle go down your spine.

'Oh wow, my Boruto Alarm went off.' You quickly stood.

Your... Boruto Alarm?

'Yeah. I had one for Naruto, now I have one for his son. Like father like son, you know?' You shut the TV off and quickly ran out of your house, heading out of the compound. When you got to the main village, you searched around for his signature. 

'Oop, found him.' You quickly teleported to that area and found him and Sarada sparring on top of Naruto's stone face. You quickly jumped and landed between them.

"AYO what's y'all doing?" You asked.

"I'm kicking Sarada's butt!"

"Like heck you are!"

"Oooo can I join in on the ass kicking?"
Boruto blinked at you.

"I mean... that's fine with me."

"Yeah, I don't mind."
You cracked your knuckles.

"Then let's get crackalackin."

"... oh no..."

The Five Kage stood on the roof of the Hokage Residence and witnessed you throwing both Boruto and Sarada off the stone face.

"YYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCK MY NARDS, LOSERS!!!!!!!"
Naruto chuckled.

"Yep, the kids who'll surpass us someday," Kurotsuchi chuckled.

"Y/n's a good kid," Naruto said, "She keeps an eye on Boruto for me."

"You should start paying her."
All of them collectively laughed. 

You stared down at the two falling ninjas, sticking out your tongue.

She's smitten with them.

I am so far behind on this series. Honestly I'm just thinking about skipping past the boring eps and only doing entertaining, fight-revolved arcs, like the Genin test, Hidden Mist, so on and so forth.
