The Lost Poetry
Mere words they might seem,
They carry my soul along the stream.
Sans words, I've fallen apart at the seams.
Like dreams in letters, such esteems.
Yet, black and blue turned gray,
Mere words ceased to stay.
I've forgotten how we used to play.
I've forgotten right words to say.
I've forgotten how to dance,
Their music no resemblance.
We are out of sync, we are imbalance.
Names evanescing near incognizance.
It's farewell to me,
Goodbye to my lost poetry.
