Scene: Hikaru and Kaoru, twins from the anime Ouran High School Host Club, are standing in their room after coming home after club. Hikaru nags at Kaoru endlessly because he thinks Kaoru has been making moves on Haruhi. Kaoru comes to his limit and let's out a long held secret.

Kaoru POV

"Listen to me! Damnit, Hikaru! I'M GAY! There! I said it! I like dick! I don't want Haruhi! What do you want from me!??"

Hikaru stood frozen. I automatically feel the tears start burning in my eyes. I was right to keep this a secret, because now everything has changed. I should have kept quiet...
I ran through our mansion to the nearest bathroom and locked myself inside. The tears started streaming down my face and I hyperventilated, sliding down a wall to hug my knees. I didn't want to go into a panic attack. 'Breathe, Kaoru, breathe...'
It was only a few seconds until I heard the sounds of running feet and the frantic knocks on my door.

"Kaoru!? Kaoru!! Oh, please, come out! I know you're in there, I can hear you! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to react that way!"

"GO AWAY, HIKA— AWAAAAHH!" As soon as I tried to use my voice, I could hold back the sobs.

I sobbed and sobbed until my face was sticky with half dried tears and my head felt like it was going to burst from the pressure. I cried until I didn't feel anything. My voice quieted to a whimper and I hugged myself, wanting to feel like something wasn't falling  apart.
Hikaru had stopped banging on the door and begging for me to come out awhile ago, but I know he sat right outside the door. I know he knows I'll leave eventually.
I decided to get myself together and face his rejection head on. All the crying has made me feel more apathetic.
I stood up. My joints cracked from being in the same tense position for so long. I walked slowly, trying to get my body to work again. I walked to the mirror over the bathroom sink and looked at myself for a moment. My nose was still dripping, my eyes were already really puffy and bloodshot, and my face was covered in contrasting patches of pale skin and bright red. 'Hah, I wonder what kind of lecture Tamaki will give me about preserving my beauty for the ladies.'
Not breaking eye contact with myself, I turned the faucet on. I abruptly stuck my face in the sink. I washed off the dried tears and blew my nose under the cold water.
I dried my face off and took a couple deeps breaths.
Without another thought I walked to the bathroom door, unlocked it, and opened it. Hikaru, who was sitting against the door, almost fell into the bathroom.

"Kaoru!" Hikaru scrambled to his feet and hugged me. I numbly laid my head on his shoulder. He then grabbed my shoulders and took a step back looking at my face. I noticed he had been crying too, from the redness of his eyes and nose.
"What an idiot my twin is." Hikaru said with a sad smile and a sniff. "You should know better, you knucklehead. You should know that I'll always love you unconditionally, in whatever form you take. You are my other half in this life, the last, and the next. And I am sorry I am the reason you've felt so much pain today. Share with me your pain. Talk to me, you shouldn't have been so secretive, silly!" He taps my nose. "So what if you like boys, I'll just have to adjust my focus so I can be a better wingman, hahaha. I'm sorry I froze, but this is such big news! Although, it's partly my fault for not picking up on it." I am stunned. Hikaru sighs, then continues. "Kaoru, it's completely normal to feel the way you do. And I want you to know that I would never reject you for something like this. Please believe me. And damnit, stop crying! Hahaha."
Hikaru wipes the tears I didn't know were sliding down my face. I throw myself at him, squeezing him with all my strength.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I thank him over and over. He starts to squeeze back and we both gently fall to the ground from our weak knees.

This time, we cry in each other's arms. In happiness, relief, and because I feel whole again for the first time in years.

'Thank you, brother...'
