16: Boring Wake-up Call

The world around me was completely silent as I began to wake up from my long overdue nap. The memory was still fresh in my mind and I didn't want to get up in fear that I might never remember anything of my family again. The one thing I noticed as I shifted around to clutch my pillow, was that I was no longer in my robe, but something else.

"He seems to be awake finally." Kakashi's voice filled the room causing me to clutch the pillow tighter as I rolled over into my stomach.

"I'm not awake. Still sleeping." My voice was muffled from the pillow, but Kakashi only chuckled in response.

"Kami, you've been asleep since yesterday. It's time to get up. Sakura is downstairs making sure you have a plate to eat. Now hurry up." I sighed heavily as I pushed myself off the mat I was laying on.

"I have siblings." I stated calmly, but I could tell Kakashi tensed.

"What makes you say that Kami?" I slowly turned to face him as I noticed the new clothes I was in. A plain t-shirt and some baggy shorts.

"I remember. Not everything, but I know they exist. Their names are Yoshi and Kiyoko. I don't know about my parents or my real name, but I have to find them... I'll send out a snake to find them or something, but after this mission I'll have to leave to find them." Kakashi sighed and scratched the back of his head not fully looking at me.

"I'll send Pakkun. It'll be faster that way. I'll notify the Hokage of your absence when I return to the village. Until then keep quiet about this. Now, hurry before breakfast gets cold," I nodded silently as I walked out the room. "Oh and Sasayaki is downstairs as well." The house downstairs was louder than the room I had left and it smelled great although I didn't find myself very hungry.

"Kami! Come over here and sit by me!" Sakura invited and I did as she asked and sat down beside her offering a small smile.

"Goodmorning my beautiful little blossom, have you seen Sasayaki?" I asked causing her to blush at her nickname before pointing towards Sasuke, who seemed to have Sasayaki wrapped around his arm.

"She's been with Sasuke ever since you passed out. We didn't want her disturbing you with all the yelling she was doing." Sakura explained and I resisted the urge to sweatdrop.

"That is quite alright. Thank you. I should've had Himei at the time. He would've been quieter." My remark seemed to reach Sasayaki as she lashed out at me before sinking her teeth into my arm.

"Kami!" Sakura gasped in pure horror which I returned with a pained smile.

"Do not worry, her poison does not effect me. It will just sting for a bit." I reassured her as the snake wrapped itself around my neck as if nothing had happened. Picking up the chopsticks in front of my I began eating the rice that was in front of me slowly.

"Are you really eating Kami?" Sasayaki hissed in questioning and I nodded.

"It would be rude of me to refuse. I may be a guest here, but Miss Tsunami prepared this food herself with much effort. Therefore I will eat, yet savor the food as well." It didn't take long for everyone to finish and Kakashi led us outside.

"Now since Kami missed it, Sakura I want you to demonstrate what I taught you yesterday to him. Sasuke, Naruto you two will continue trying to reach the top of the tree." Sakura nodded grabbing my hand and took me over to a tree.

"Now Kami, this will be a quick explanation since I have to get back to guarding Tazuna. You have to balance out your chakra and focus it to your feet and walk up the tree, like so." She walked up the tree and I stayed silent as she came back down.

"I think I get it. Thank you Sakura." She nodded and ran away as I stared up at the emotionlessly.

"You have to at least try Kami." Kakashi stated and I pouted in response.

"Kakashi this is ridiculous, I already know how to do this." He just shook his head at me, not looking up from his book.

"See it as giving the other two motivation." I frowned, but nodded anyway and focused the right amount of chakra into my feet before lazily walking up the tree and back down again.

"Am I free to go?" I asked and Kakashi nodded making me sigh out of relief.

"Go with Sakura to the bridge to guard Tazuna." Doing as he said I made my way there quickly hoping for something more exciting, but overall it was a pretty boring day.

"I should've continued sleeping for this mission."
