Thoughts:

It's hard to review a book that doesn't have much to it. There's only three chapters here and all that really happens is a kid wakes up, the ship he's on gets raided, I think? And he runs into a doctor that wants to do tests on him. Honestly, Prim spends a lot of time asleep. I don't have much of a sense for his character.

There's only really one other person we meet so far, Lamar, and he's weird too. I can tell he's supposed to be flirty and playful and relateable, but the way he's wrote, he comes across superficial, like Prim is talking to a piece of paper rather than an entire human being. And there's some awkward dialogue between the two of them.

Honestly, I come away from this not entirely sure what to think. The only times I'm able to write substantial reviews off of so little is if I have strong opinions on those pieces but I... really didn't here. I didn't feel much after I read what there was. Do I even want to see where this would've gone? I mean... I guess so, but it wasn't hooking enough that I'm actually engaged enough to want to read if this ever gets updated again.

I wish I could say more, but I kind of can't.
