Thoughts:

I wish there were more chapters so that I could give this book a more adequate review overall, but The Memory of Aster is off to a really good start regardless. And it's gay. You have no idea how happy it makes me that not only I got a story with gay characters, it's also a good story. I think at one point I legitimately started crying because it just... made me so happy. And I'm really happy it's exploring children and their friendships and their eventual crushes because it's SO IMPORTANT.

There are a few things that are... complaints but not problems. I will harp on the fact there's like two whole parts before the actual story - I get the feeling you're trying to format it like an ebook. Fine, whatever. But also it's just kind of annoying when reading on Wattpad to have to get through not-story to actually read the story haha. But... nice title page.

I also had minor complaints about Ash's twin sisters being named Elise and Eliza because I don't know how the author keeps track of them but that's a superficial gripe honestly and not something that overall detracts from the story or my enjoyment.

Currently, the story feels more generally paranormal than it does werewolf, but I'm interested to see how the transition that takes it from one to the other happens.

I will say that the action in chapter four picked up... perhaps too quickly? And the witch in general was kind of confusing, though maybe that was just me. She's really cryptic but in a way that confuses even the readers. 

The only real problem I had was in the first chapter, the POV was shifting around a bit too much? I thought we were in third omniscient, but it doesn't seem to be the case given the rest of the book so either the first chapter needs to be fixed to be in third limited from Ash's, or the other chapters need to be tweaked to be more omniscient. 

This is definitely something I'm going to keep reading. I'm curious to see where it goes!
