(Two days later)

Y/N's P.O.V 

It's now Friday, today Tara and I are going on our first date.

I'm currently in the school gym with Chad. He's spotting me.

Chad: Come on, man. One more. One more.

I lift the weight up all the way, then Chad grabs it helps me put it down.

Y/N: Damn.

Chad: Good job, Y/N. Nice.

I sit up and grab my towel.

Y/N: Thanks, bro.

I turn to him and we clapse hands.

I then wipe the sweat off my body.

Chad: So, it's your first date with Tara tonight, right?

Y/N: Yep. Apparently, Amber and Mindy are going shopping with her and helping pick out something to wear.

Chad: How do you know that?

Y/N: Mindy told me.

Chad: Ah. So, where you going tonight?

I stand up.

Y/N: Well, I'm taking her out to dinner, then we're going to that karaoke club. You know she likes karaoke.

Chad: Yeah, she does.

I sigh.

Chad: You okay?

Y/N: Uh, yeah. Just a little nervous. I don't know why. I mean Tara and I have known each other since we were six, I shouldn't be.

Chad: Don't be nervous, bro. You and Tara are made for each other. You'll make a great couple.

I nod.

Y/N: Thanks, man. You're right.

He and I clapse hands.

Y/N: Well, I'm gonna head home, take a shower and get ready for my date. You wanna ride home?

Chad: Yeah. Thanks, man.

We leave the gym and head outside.

(Four hours later)

I've now showered and I'm changing into what I'm wearing tonight.

I walk out of my bedroom and walk downstairs as I put my jacket on.

After that I go into the living room to see mum and dad.

Y/N: So, how do I look?

They look at me and smile.

Chris: You look great, kiddo.

Scarlet: Oh, baby. You look so cute.

I sigh.

Y/N: Thanks, mum, but cute isn't the goal here. I need to look good. This is my first date with Tara.

Scarlet: You do look good, Y/N. Very handsome.

I smile.

Y/N: Thank you.

Chris: You nervous?

Y/N: A little, but I'm okay.

Scarlet: I remember when you and Tara first met.

Chris: I remember too. It was the Halloween party we had.

Scarlet: That's right.

Mum looks at me.

Scarlet: Before she left with her mum she kissed you on the cheek. Your face went bright red.

Y/N: Mum...

Scarlet: Sorry, I'm sorry.

I sigh.

Y/N: Well, I better go. Don't wait up.

Scarlet: Bye, sweetie.

Chris: Have fun, son.

Y/N: Thanks.

I grab flowers for Tara before walking out the front door.

I go over to my car and get into it.

After that I drive around the corner and stop outside her house.

She literally lives around the corner from me.

I get out of my car and knock on the door.

A second later the door opens and I see Tara.

She smiles.

Tara: Hey.

Y/N: Hi there.

Tara: Are those flowers for me?

I smile.

Y/N: Of course they are.

I hand them to her.

Tara: Thanks.

Y/N: You look so beautiful, Tara.

Tara: Thanks, Cowboy. You look really handsome.

Y/N: You ready to go?

She smiles.

Tara: Alright.

I offer her my arm and she links arms with me.

We walk to my car and I open the door for her.

Tara: Such a gentleman.

Y/N: I do my best.

She gets in and I close the door.

After that I get in and drive to the restaurant.

(Two hours later)

So, after having dinner, Tara and I go to the karaoke club.

We walk in and she smiles.

Tara: Ah, I love this place.

Y/N: Yeah, I know. I thought it'd be fun. I'll get us some drinks, yeah?

Tara: Alright.

I go over to the bar and get Tara and I a drink.

While I'm waiting I hear a mic go off.

Tara: Mr. Y/N L/N!

I turn and see Tara on the stage.

I chuckle.

Y/N: (Whispers) Of course.

Tara: Come on up, Y/N. Show everyone what you've got. Come on. Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!

Everyone starts chanting my name.

I sigh and jog up to the stage.

Tara: Here he is!

I stand at the other mic.

Y/N: I'm assuming you chose a song.

Tara: Oh, yeah. Get ready.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Okay.

The song comes on and we start singing.

(A/N: Just imagine it's Y/N and Tara singing.)

After finishing the song we walk back over to a table and sit down.

Tara smiles.

Tara: Wow. You can box, play basketball and sing. Is there anything you can't do?

I chuckle.

Y/N: Uh, yeah. I can't hang upside-down with the blood rushing to my head, but I'm still working on it.

She giggles.

Tara: Oh, very funny.

We get our drinks and continue to have a good time.

(Forty-five minutes later)

I've stopped my car outside of Tara's house.

She looks at me.

Tara: I had a great time tonight.

I smile.

Y/N: Me too.

She leans in and we kiss.

We then pull away.

Tara: So, do you wanna come inside?

Y/N: Yeah, sure.

We get out and go into her house.

Y/N: So, what do you wanna do now?

She grabs my hand and smirks.

Tara: Let's go to my bedroom.

I smirk as I know what she wants to do now.

I didn't expect this on the first date.

Y/N: Okay.

I pull her close and we kiss.

After that I lift her up and she wraps her legs around my waist.

I walk up the stairs and we go into her bedroom.

(Two hours later)

So, after spending some time with Tara I have to leave.

I walk out and turn to Tara.

She and I kiss for a moment before pulling away.

Tara: I wish you could stay tonight.

Y/N: Me too. But my mum wants me home. I'll come by tomorrow.

She smiles.

Tara: Great. I love you, Y/N.

I smile.

Y/N: I love you too, Tara.

I kiss her hand before walking back to my car.

I wish I could've stayed with Tara, but I'll have plenty of time to spend with her tomorrow.
