Chapter 11: The Ghostface Expert

Y/N's P.O.V

So, the other's and I had to go to the police station after what happened with Vince.

While we were there we found out Sam was attacked by Ghostface at the hospital.

Amber and I went there with my dad and Deputy Hicks.

We're all in Tara's hospital room.

Chris: I've got a body outside a bar on Main and then you get attacked here.

Judy: And you said the call came from Amber's number?

Amber: So? We know he cloned my phone before when he attacked Tara and Y/N.

Y/N: She's right.

Richie: Or, and I'm just spit-balling here... you're the killer

Dad looks at Richie.

Chris: And where were you when all this happened?

Richie: I was... watching Netflix.

Amber: Oh, yeah. Super-solid alibi, bro.

Richie: So, where were you?

Chris: I was questioning Both her and Y/N were at the Shriff's station.

Y/N: Yeah, and we came as soon as we heard.

Amber: But you know, the Netflix alibi is good too.

Judy: Both of you stop it.

Sam looks to my dad.

Sam: You're gonna put more cops on her room, right?

Chris: Yes. And I can have you moved to a private floor. Deputy Vinson knows what he's doing. You'll be safe.

Sam: Like we've been so far?

Dad and Hicks look at each other.

Hicks then looks to Sam.

Judy: Samantha, let's talk outside.

Sam leaves with Deputy Hicks.

Chris: Tara, I'm gonna talk to Scarlet and get you moved to a private floor.

Tara: Okay. Thank you.

My dad then leaves as well.

A moment later Sam comes back in.

Sam: Well, she remains a delight.

Tara: Are you okay?

Sam: Uh, would you guys mind giving us a second? I need to talk to Tara.

I nod.

Y/N: Come on, Netflix. Let's go outside.

Amber, Richie and I leave the room.

I go to the break room, which is empty.

I then see Mickey again, sat at a table.

Mickey: I told you she wasn't safe.

I sigh.

Y/N: Jesus Christ. Will you just go away?

Mickey: Nah. I can't do that. You need me, son.

Y/N: I'm not your son. We're nothing to each other. You're dead, you're not really here.

Mickey: That maybe true, but it doesn't change that fact that you need me.

Y/N: Is that right?

I go over and sit with him.

Y/N: What exactly do I need you for? What is all this, huh?

Mickey: You wanna know what all this is? You sure you wanna know?

Y/N: Yeah, I wanna know.

Mickey: Okay, I'm gonna tell you. Kneel down. Dig deep. Find the bloodlust, find the anger, the rage. Find it, Y/N. It's in there! Find it!

He slams on the table.

Mickey: It's in there, kid. That's the only way you find the killer and end this. You find him and you kill him. You can do it, son.

I lean forward.

Y/N: I'm not you. I'm not a killer. I won't kill.

I get up and leave the room.

When I go outside I see Sam and Richie talking.

Richie: What do we do now?

Sam: We go and talk to an expert.

They're clearly trying to find the killer.

I walk over.

Y/N: I know where we can find an expert.

Richie: "We?"

Y/N: Yeah. If you're going after the killer, then I'm coming too.

Sam: Okay. Where's this expert you know?

Y/N: Follow me.

The three of us leave the hospital.

(The next day)

Sam has driven us out the the trailer park.

Along the way she told me how we're the same. We're both children of Ghostface killer's.

Her real father is Billy Loomis.

We get out of the car.

Richie: So, how do you know this guy?

Y/N: He's an old friend of my dad's. They worked together during the Ghostface killings of 2011.

We go up to the door and knock on it.

Dewey: Go away!

Sam: Sorry to bother you, Mr. Riley. We just wanna ask you a few questions.

Dewey: I don't give interviews.

Y/N: We're not lookin' for an interview.

Just then he appears and looks through the window.

Dewey: Give me one good reason why I should talk to you.

Sam: I'm Billy Loomis' daughter.

He opens the door.

Dewey: That's a terrible reason.

He looks at me.

Dewey: Hey, Y/N.

Y/N: Hi, Dewey.

Sam: My name is Samantha Carpenter. I was attacked last night at the hospital. Before that my sister and Y/N here were attacked too. My sister was stabbed. I know you know what that's like.

He sighs.

Sam: I'm just trying to protect my family. Five minutes, that's all I'm asking.

Dewey: I'll give you two minutes. I'm missing a show I like.

He let's us in and we sit with him.

Dewey looks at Richie.

Dewey: Who's he?

Sam: This is my boyfriend, Richie.

Dewey: How long have you known him?

Sam: Six months?

Dewey: Did he know who your dad was when you met? Express any interest in Woodsboro or the Ghostface killings?

Richie: What the hell are you talking about?

Dewey: Your killer's obsessed with the Stab movies, right?

Y/N: Uh, yeah.

He sits back.

Dewey: Well, there are certain rules to surviving a Stab movie. Believe me, I know. Rule number one: Never trust the love interest.

Richie scoffs.

Dewey: They seem sweet, caring, supportive. Then welcome to act three, where they're to rip your head off.

Richie: I was with Sam in Modesto when Tara was attacked.

Dewey: And let me guess, you were just in the other room, conveniently unaccounted for when she was attacked at the hospital.

Richie: Okay, do I have to take this from shitty Sam Elliott here, or what?

Y/N: Calm down, Netflix.

Dewey: Rule number two: The killer's motive is always connected to something in the past.

Sam: I'm related to Billy.

Y/N: And I'm related to Mickey.

Richie: Right, but then why kill that random Vince guy?

Dewey: That's for you to figure out. And Rule number three, and this is the most important rule: The first victim always has a friend group that the killer is apart of.

He looks at me.

Dewey: Do you and Tara have a close-knit group of friends?

Y/N: Yeah. We do.

Dewey: Then look for the killer there. If you can find out why they're doing this, you can figure out who's next.

Y/N: So, help us. Help is figure out who's behind this.

Dewey: You gotta be kidding me? That's your dad's job, kid. I've been stabbed nine times. I've got permanent nerve damage and a fun limp. You think I wanna do that again?

Sam: You just said it always go back to the past, right? So, if we're in danger, that means you're in danger. Come on. Let's do this together.

Dewey: Your time's up.

After that he kicks us out of his house.

I guess we've gotta do this ourselves.
