Y/N's P.O.V

My eyes slowly open and I immediately notice the light coming through my curtains.

I roll over in bed.

Just then my phone starts buzzing.

I groan.

Y/N: Ah, come on.

I grab my phone and unplug it from the charger.

I then look at it and see Chad is trying to Facetime me.

Y/N: Really, Chad?

I answer and see he's outside.

Chad: Hey, there he is.

Y/N: Hey, man. You out on a run again?

Chad: Oh, yeah. And you're still in bed?

Y/N: Yep, cause I'm normal.

Chad: What about training for your fight? You wanna win that belt, right?

Y/N: I do, but I don't have to start training for at least another week.

I'm about to start training for my amateur fight and I'll win the championship belt, if I win that is.

I get out of bed and go into my bathroom.

Chad: Come on, man. Get on the grind early.

Y/N: Shut up, Chad. So, I didn't go on a run one time. I'll be okay.

Chad: Alright, alright. I get it.

Y/N: Look, I gotta take a shower. I'll see you at school.

Chad: See ya.

I hang up and take off my boxers before getting into the shower.

(Fifteen minutes later)

I'm now ready for school and I walk downstairs to see mum in the kitchen.

Y/N: Hey, mum.

Scarlet: Morning, baby boy.

I sigh.

Y/N: Mum, I'm seventeen. Do you still have to keep calling me that?

I walk over to the fridge and grab a bottle of water.

Scarlet: Y/N, it doesn't matter how old you get, you'll always be my baby boy.

She kisses my cheek.

Y/N: Yeah, okay.

Just then Ollie comes in.

Oliver: Hey, guys.

Y/N: Hey, lil bro.

Scarlet: And there's my other baby.

He groans.

Oliver: Mum...

We laugh.

Y/N: I guess he doesn't like it either.

Oliver: No, he doesn't. Where's dad?

Scarlet: He had to go in early today. Perks of being the Sheriff.

I take a sip off water.

Y/N: Sure it is.

Mum makes breakfast for Ollie and puts the food infront of him.

Scarlet: Well, I need to get to work.

She looks to me.

Scarlet: Can you drop your brother off before going to school?

Y/N: Yeah, okay.

Scarlet: Thank you. Bye, boys.

Y/N & Oliver: Bye, mum.

I look at him.

Y/N: Alright, bud. You finish up and grab your bag. I'll be back in a minute.

Oliver: Okay.

As he finishes his breakfast I go to grab my stuff.

I come back a few minutes later and see he's ready to go.

Oliver: I'm ready.

Y/N: I can see that. Let's go.

We leave the house and go over to my car.

Ollie and I get in and I start up the car.

Y/N: Okay, let's go.

I drive off and take Oliver to school.

(Thirty minutes later)

After dropping off Ollie, I go to school.

I pull up Woodsboro High and get out off my car.

I walk over to school and walk inside.

After that I go to my locker and open it.

???: Hey, Y/N.

I look over and see my cousin, Finn coming over to me.

Y/N: Hey, Finn.

He and I fist bump.

Finn: So, you started training yet?

I sigh.

Y/N: First Chad, now you. Get off my ass. I don't have to officially start training for another week.

Finn: I was just asking.

I grab my books out of my locker and close it. I then put them in my bag.

He and I walk away.

We turn the corner and see our friend, Tara and Finn's girlfriend, Amber.

I see her smile.

I can't help but smile when she does.

Finn taps my arm.

Finn: Dude, you and Tara have been crushing on each other for like three months now. Will you just ask her out?

I look at him.

Y/N: I don't know, man. Are you sure she likes me?

He sighs.

Finn: Yes. You know, for someone who's good at getting girls I didn't think you'd be this blind to it.

Y/N: Alright, I'll do it.

He nods.

Finn: Great. I'll help you out.

Y/N: How?

Finn: You'll find out.

We walk over to the girls.

Tara sees us and smiles.

Tara: Hey, guys.

Y/N: Hey.

Finn: Hi, babe.

Amber: Hey.

The two kiss.

After that Finn whispers into her ear.

Finn: Come on, let's go.

She smiles.

Amber: Okay.

Finn takes her hand and the two leave.

Finn winks at me before leaving.

Tara looks at me.

Tara: What was that about?

Y/N: I don't know.

I sit down on the bench next to her.

Tara: You okay?

Y/N: Uh, yeah.

I put my leg either side of the bench to face her properly.

Y/N: I actually wanna ask you something.

She moves closer.

Tara: Okay.

Y/N: Alright, uh... I've wanted to ask you this for awhile... do you maybe wanna...

Tara: Wanna what?

I sigh.

Y/N: Do you wanna... go out on a date with me?

Tara: A date?

Y/N: Yeah. Look, I know you might not wanna ruin our friendship and if that's the case, then I completely...

Tara then grabs my shirt and pulls me into a kiss.

I put my hand on her waist and pull her closer as we kiss.

A moment later we pull away.

Tara: (Whispers) I'd love to go on a date with you. It's about time you asked.

I smile.

Y/N: (Whispers) Yeah, I'm sorry for that. I'm gonna kiss you again.

She smiles.

Tara: (Whispers) Good.

I lean in and we kiss again.

So, that went well. I asked her out and she said yes.

(A/N: I know Scream 5 takes place in 2022, but I changed it to 2021 so that it's exactly ten years since the 2011 killing.)
