Two/Three Weeks Later

It was now the week of Thanksgiving. That meant that the local college students were given their week off for the holiday. It also meant that it was the day/night of Luke's party.

Luke had spent most of the past week getting supplies and everything else for his party. He end up inviting quite a few people. At least 30 of them would be showing up, too. That included Shannon and Evan. Since Shannon was going, that meant Kyle would also be going. However, Maxis wouldn't, she decided to stay home.

Luckily for everyone, there had been no new murders, which lead to mostly everyone in the town believing that Keith's was a one time coincidence. Plus, the police said that they had caught the person behind Keith's death.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Kyle asked, raising a brow as he stared at Maxis.

She nodded, "Why wouldn't I be? I got my switch and the house to myself." She grinned while holding up the handheld console.

Kyle shrugged, "Fair enough." He smiled and continued, "Just call or text me if something happens."

Groaning, Maxis replied with, "When did you turn into our parents?"

Kyle chuckled, "Whatever."

Soon, there was a knock on the door. Kyle walked over and opened it. Outside, both Shannon and Evan standing there and waiting. The two of them there for Kyle, so they could go to the party. After saying goodbye, Kyle left and grabbed Shannon's hand as they walked together, Evan following close behind, meaning that the house belonged to Maxis all night.

As soon as they arrived, they saw Bryce and Luke talking at the front door.

"I'm sorry that Joey couldn't come. He was working a late shift." Bryce spoke apologetically.

Luke nodded to show that he understood. He would let Bryce enter his house. Then, he'd turn to greet Evan and the others with a smile.

"No Maxis?" Luke asked as he scanned the trio.

Kyle shook his head and then shrugged, as if to say sorry. Luke nodded and let them in as well, telling them where all the fun activities were.

Once inside, the first thing the trio went to was a pool table. They'd grab cue sticks and rack the balls up, so they could play a few rounds against each other.

"Wanna do 2v2? The lovely couple versus us two?" Bryce asked, obviously referring to Kyle and Shannon as the couple.

Evan looked towards the other two, seeing them nod. He'd hand Bryce a pool cue and they'd all start playing.

***

After finishing their last round of pool, they all decided to split up. Bryce would go and track down some other classmates, who were watching a movie on the TV. Evan would go play some air hockey against Jonathan. While Kyle would gently drag Shannon upstairs towards an empty room, just so they could make out for a little bit because what good is a party if there isn't at least one couple making out somewhere?

***

It was now way past midnight and the party was pretty much dead. It was to the point where it was only Luke, Evan, Kyle and Shannon. Everyone else had gone home for the night. At the moment, the three males were in the backyard, cleaning up some of the trash.

"You know how to throw a good party, Luke." Kyle spoke while smiling, chucking a plastic red cup into the trash bag.

Luke chuckled, "Thanks. It just sucks that some of the others couldn't come." He replied, referring to Joey, Maxis and also Lance.

"What can you do though, ya know?" Evan shrugged as he spoke.

The three males stopped talking for a moment as they heard the sound of boots hitting the porch. All three of them would look over and see Shannon standing at the back door.

"Hey, can someone call my phone?" Shannon asked, looking at them as she stood at the doorway, "I've been looking for it for a while now..."

Kyle was the first to nod. He sat the trash bag down and pulled his phone out, scrolling through his contacts for his girlfriend.

"Need help looking for it?" Evan asked, turning to face the redheaded female.

Shannon nodded and sighed, "Yes please because I've looked all over for it..."

"When did you lose it?" Luke questioned.

Shannon shrugged, "I honestly can't remember, it might have been right before everyone left..."

Soon enough, the three males sat everything down and they'd head inside Luke's house, just so they could help Shannon find her phone.

....

A/N: Well darn, I wonder where Shannon's phone has gone?!? :0 I guess we'll find out next time, hopefully... Stay safe and peace out!!!
