Nineteen

"Two orders of spaghetti, burgers and fries. Drinks are coke and rootbeer." Those were Jacob's words to me as I punched in his orders.

"That would be a total of Three Hundred and Fifty Pesos, Sir. Anything else?" I asked and he shook his head. He handed me the bill and I entered his payment. "I received five hundred pesos, Sir-"

"-Keep the change." He said and I glanced at him and he nodded.

"Here's your number, Sir. Please wait at your table and they will be served to you." I said handing him number 15 on top of his tray.

"Hello. May I take your order?" I said to the next guy with a genuine smile, this time.

The guy was the last in my line and he was confused with what to order. Apart from that, he looks like he's new in town.

Standing about 6 ft. in height, he sure can catch people's attention, most especially, the ladies. He was wearing a simple navy blue muscle shirt and a faded denim jeans. With his blue eyes, it's safe to say that this guy has indeed a foreign blood in him.

"Amira? What are you doing here?" He asked and my eyes widened with his words.

"Uh, I'm not her." I said and observed him. From the looks of it, he sure knows my sister a lot.

His eyes dropped to my stomach and I consciously hugged my body in defense. "What are you looking at?" I almost yelled.

But when I realized that we are still in the fastfood chain, I lowered my voice and hissed at him.

"How do you know my sister? And, who the hell are you?" I said not breaking our eye contact.

Instead of answering me, he handed me a platinum card of an elite-sounding club and said, "If you are free to talk this weekend, punch in those cellphone numbers there and contact my secretary to talk with me. The name is Eric Dylan."

I slowly got the card and glanced at him, unsure of what to say.

"Give me three orders of the Overload Meal and charge it to my credit card." Eric said and pulled out another card. This time, it's color black.

I immediately punched in his orders and swiped the card on the machine. Luckily, Jena was there to assist me with his orders and immediately completed it and placed them inside paperbags.

I was expecting that he has two to three bodyguards around him to hold his things but found only one. One bodyguard wearing a simple casual outfit.

You wouldn't even mistake him for a bodyguard. It's as if he was just his companion.

"Hope to hear from you soon." Eric said before he left me at the counter, dumbfounded and speechless.

After serving four more customers, I ended my duty by having my early dinner. I also recieved a call from Amira requesting for an overload meal from the fastfood.

I packed two of them knowing Amaris will ask for it too. Once I was finished, I removed my apron and cap and returned it to my locker.

I slid on my slingbag and checked if my things are complete before I say my goodbye to my colleagues. My boss, Shiela, nodded at me as I passed by her during her late meeting with Area Managers.

With my hands full, I forgot to bring on my eco-bag so I struggled with it as I head out of the store. I was about to thank the guy who opened the door for me when I saw who it was.

"Ingat." Jacob said and I nodded. I stepped into the sidewalk and waited for a jeepney to stop by.

"Hey! Kumusta?" A smiling Troy came up to me and noticed the things in my hand. "Dami nyan ah. Tulungan na kita."

"Thanks. Ano na ganap sayo?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Eto, umaasa pa din." He joked and I laughed.

"Wow! Lumalablayp na si Troy!" I exclaimed and he chuckled.

"Kaso mukhang wala na akong pag-asa eh." He said and sighed.

My forehead creased in curiosity. I couldn't help it so I asked, "Sino ba yan? Kilala ko ba?"

He nodded and smiled, "kilalang-kilala mo. Kapatid mo kaya yun!"

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. "Oh. My. Gosh. Sino sa kanila?"

"It's Amaris. I have been loving her since I bumped into her at the school grounds." He confessed and I was so shocked that instead of going home right away, we hailed a cab to drive us home.
