"And she had these amazing green eyes! They are absolutely to die for. If I were a man, I'd make sure she was taken."
"Adelaide, that does not sound like you. Quit your drinking and dance again." Zalaena grabs the jug of ale out of the overly dressed Adelaide's hands and ushers her to the middle of the quad of the festival taking place; to which Adelaide retaliates by cowering herself away from Zalaena but refuses to leave her seat.
Mira, just like Adelaide had a little too much to drink, and the festival only started about ten minutes ago. And here she was already tipsy and half-dizzy. The dancing bodies, and packed quad around the giant hearth in the middle of it, didn't fix anything either - as a matter of fact it some what made the dizziness worse.
The place is packed to the brim. If Mira thought that the previous festival was busy she was oh so wrong. This right here was the subtle definition of busy. It's a crazy pandemonium out here, one that in most cases Mira would avoid at all costs, if she didn't have a specific meeting here tonight. But unfortunately for her and her sleep-deprived mind she was forced to be here today. At least Z and Adelaide tagged along tonight. Even though it seemed a little fuzzy having them here after not seeing them in forever. She couldn not of appreciated their presence more.
It was as if life had decided to become distant to her, causing everyone and everything in it to become a distant echo in the back of her mind. That explained how she felt physically and mentally at this stage.
The three girls sat on a bench together, all the other benches were unfortunately either taken by people kissing, groping or being selfish enough to place the drinks down on them so that no one else would claim even if they aren't sitting at the moment; and Mira didn't want to have to start a fight by throwing them off so they practically galloped to find this one open. It had a small view of the main event in the middle that was thickly-drenched in flowers, but at least it was something. They didn't have to stand around like creepers looking dead as hell.
So here she sat with her friends, squished because of Adelaide's dress on this mightily tiny bench staring at the various scenes unfolding before them. Adelaide insisted to wear this humongous green dress with a rib-shattering corset with her plump breasts falling right over it like fish trying to wiggle out of a fisherman's grasp ; and the skirt- which was what took half of the bench seat- was so wide it pushed Mira and Zalaena off at the ends, until they were forced to grasp the ends of the bench tightly in their hands to not plop over for the third time this evening. Not that Adelaide so much as cared about that. Her mind is only with the fact that Henry apparently would be here tonight.
But a few minutes into this event, Mira wasn't so sure if he would pitch up. She left it entirely into Adelaide's hands.
Adelaide inhales the last of her rum with a fast bobbing throat and then sighs out loud with a lip-smacking noise before belching out loud. "Oh my bad! That wasn't supposed to happen."
"You really don't listen to me do you." Zalaena in her as per usual pantsuit, looks annoyingly at Adelaide who has belched right in her face. Her suit tonight however, was a deep black velvet and sat tight on her, showing off her curves at her average thighs and breasts. It was strange for Mira to see, but she assumed that Zalaena was trying something new. Or her new partner insisted that she wear this tonight. And just like Henry, the girl wasn't anywhere to be seen. Mira couldn't remember whether her name was Adrella or Adriella. Her mind was too fuzzy.
"Do you always have to attack me like this Z? How nice of you. I'm sitting here absolutely harmless, drinking my drink and talking about the dead gorgeous Elemental, where is the wrong in that?"
Zalaena rolls her eyes, opens her shirt and pulls out a new cigar. "Well you're different tonight. You didn't even bring your straw with to suck from."
Mira unexpectedly receives a shiver and can hear her blood pounding in her ears loudly. She looks down for a brief moment before she hears the incessant noise of dancing and screams coming from every angle away from them.
She didn't hear the rest of their conversation, but only came to life after hearing her name in it.
"Oh please Z! Let Mira tell you just how beautiful she is, right Mira? You were there? When she came here?"
Mira first frowns at them both, and was about to shake her head till she remembered that they were referring to the Elemental. Hell she wasn't herself.
Her voice is scratchy when she replies. "Aye. She is beautiful."
Adelaide very satisfied with her answer hums in response and swings her legs back and forth making the bench move beneath with every swing. "And seeing her right outside our window is even more insane! I mean you saw her too. We all did. It was a life changing time for us."
"My life still seems very much the same after I met her. I have no idea what you are talking about." Zalaena blows out smoke, her lips parting away from them.
Mira takes the time to glance around the wild parade going about here. The huge bonfire in the middle of the event is the main attraction, which was also the main attraction in general for any event. It willows wild and untethered, with smoking etching away at the center of the fire, which in a bad case would make washing smell like smoke if someone hadn't taken it off.
Then around the fire are benches all taken up mostly by couples, either kissing, cuddling or touching one another publicly without a care in the world about who saw. Then around that, which took up about half of the space here, were market stalls that were set up to sell whatever the villagers craved to have - ranging from flowers to clothes and food and rum as always, some were even about promoting books and paintings which were the least visited stalls too - they were easy to spot out. But everyone was about doing business this evening.
Mira, Zalaena and Adelaide were at the edges of the quad beneath a tree, sitting alone and cold away from the busy area. The ink sky is luminescent with the bright stars twinkling above, making the whole festival even more warmer strangely. But partying at night is different than the day - the night is when people became more wild and confident. It is something that Mira still struggles to understand till this day. Whereas in the day, it seemed to be more regretful than anything else.
Then to the left, passing trees, potted plants and waterfalls was the Crystal Waters standing dead, glum and quiet. There wasn't anyone in sight. It brings back some memories to Mira, when she followed Kaleb that evening to this place just to see Jezio and his new friend Cary getting all intimate in the shadows. She wondered what happened to that case that Kaleb was searching for. But most importantly she wondered what happened to him.
Before tears could run down her cheeks, Mira takes in a deep breathe slowly and blows it out slowly with her eyes closed. She could already feel her heart racing with what was yet to come this evening for her.
She rubs her hands up and down her thighs over her tight short lavender-coloured dress. The dress was something she got from Adelaide, it was apparently not short enough for her- it didn't show off enough of my meat- like Adelaide told her. By meat Adelaide was referring to her thighs and breasts as if Mira didn't know the reference behind it. But Mira was lucky that she at least had a new dress to wear this evening, so she took her opportunity of having it. The V in the front showed off the tops of her breasts with black buttons on the front of her dress running between her breasts from the top right to her mid-thighs.
It was long sleeved as well so it made Mira feel warmer and more safe from a few perverted prying eyes, like the one she met a few days ago with the Elemental.
The Elemental... The thought of her brings a sinking into her stomach, and a knot in her chest that she struggled to unfurl. She feels suffocated and hot and cold at the same time thinking about their last and first meeting.
She brushes away her loose wavy hair falling around her shoulders and takes another deep breath in of the rich night air deep into her lungs. She raises her face to the sky and closes her eyes.
"Mira? I swear she's been strange as shit lately. Are you alright? You're looking a little pale." That was the ever so concerned Zalaena.
Mira opens her eyes and faces them with a smile on her face. "Yes I'm perfectly fine don't worry about me. I'm just enjoying the fresh air."
Adelaide pats her confusing looking chignon before speaking up. "You can talk to us about anything Mira. I know we haven't been talking much lately but we're here. Oh God's! Why doesn't my hair stay flat!"
"No one cares about your hair Adelaide. It looks the same, I'm sure there isn't a single person here that would notice a single loose strand out of your bun thing."
"It's called a CHIGNON!" Adelaide practically wailed that right into Zalaena's face before scowling at her about not having a good sense of fashion.
Mira laughs softly before looking out over the festival once again.
"What's with the tents?"
Mira first frowns at Adelaide's exclamation before she, surprisingly, notices the tents all over the parade. They varied in colour, and Mira had to squint and direct her gaze right past the huge bonfire to physically make sight of it.
Sure enough, there were plenty people coming in and out of the tents, some could be markets and stalls, and maybe one of them could be a camp. Right in the middle of damn event. Mira didn't want to know what went on in that camp.
"Maybe they're brothels. Since it's far from the actual brothel, they decided to move it here. Besides they look more busy than usual here tonight." Zalaena points right into the distance with her finger. Adelaide and herself followed the line of her finger to see a completely naked woman with a man kneeling before her as he sucked her breasts.
Adelaide shudders beside Mira, she could feel all the tremors trembling down her spine. Or maybe that was her.
"Ugh. I can never understand why this is a thing. It's disgusting, to be naked all the time and sleep with countless men? Half of them doesn't even have a fashion sense." Adelaide picks up Mira's half empty ale, that was sitting at her feet before slurping the whole thing down in one go. She really needed a straw. It helped Adelaide be less drunk than usual.
"Maybe for you, but not for others. It's the richest place in the City if you didn't know, with the food stalls being right after it."
Mira nods in agreement with Zalaena. "Aye. People love seeking lust and pleasure, it's what gets them going through the day."
Adelaide first glances at Mira and then at Zalaena with her mouth open looking as if they both sprouted bugs out of their foreheads. "To do that everyday? That's not normal."
Mira shrugs before standing up and brushes off her bottom from the dirty seat they sat on and looks down to her boots she wore tonight. It was a pair she never wore often, but she did tonight for obvious reasons. One being, they at least went with her outfit, and two was if the mage decided to be crazy with her, she had good shoes to sprint away with in case she needed to save her life. She wasn't certain what would happen this evening besides for talking which is what she was hoping for. But she went for her dress and boots for her own safety. She looked that she was enjoying herself at an average festival but also like a person on the run.
It did leave parts of her thighs and her calves naked, as her boots only reached above her ankles, but it was for the best.
"So you girls ready to at least enjoy the evening while it lasts?"
God's. Mira needed to get wasted tonight. Just a little till she felt the buzz in her head. Everything was just too much for her. She needed a relief. A getaway. Just until she found her feet.
"I thought you'd never ask." Adelaide throws down her empty ale shaking the jug in the process with her tongue darting out to lick the remnants.
Zalaena looked at her utterly distraughted. She sighs and throws away the empty bud of her cigar before stepping on it, and finally gets up with them with a big sigh.
"You both need help."
Mira and Adelaide giggles, throwing their heads back before both of them tugs onto her arms forcing her between them. And then they walked arm in arm with each other, with even steps into the feral party taking place.
°°°
In the midst of thrashing bodies all around her with hands grasping all over the place, Mira was almost glad that she left all her personal belongings away at home or else, with all the hands grasping her, even groping her breast- she probably would of lost all her coin.
The night is smoky, full of smoke from the fire, and a sudden fog that settled upon them; nestling them in like soft tufts of cloud around a mountain. It made the evening much more eventful Mira had to say, she was having an amazing time, she didn't know how many men she kissed, grinded and humped on; but she knows with absolute certainty that tomorrow morning when she is sober- she'll regret everything she did this evening. She could of gotten sick with the amount of tongues she got tangled with. It would bring Grasel to shame if she ever found out just how wild she was tonight.
Mira might have a reason as to why she went all out, she would dance and kiss with about three men in the same evening for the most, but this night she lost count of many people she was with or whether they were all men. She left the sex part out this time, at least she had enough sanity left to not spread her legs for every man she sees.
Besides all that and the buzz inside her head and the loud thrum of music that a band was playing, Mira couldn't deny that she was craving this. She needed to get away from her life for this. Peace. That's all she asked for. Just for this night.
She throws back the last of the ale in her jug and swallows it down deliciously. The coolness of it cured her parched throat and took away with it, the sloppy tongue she just had in her mouth moments ago. She sighs and looks up to the star-filled sky, glistening above her like gems on a dress.
She brings her head back down after a deep inhale of fresh air and throws her jug over her shoulder. She immediately regretted it, and without turning around she tried to hear past the loud music, talk and dancing around her to hear whether the jug made contact with the ground and not anyone's head.
When she at least heard the faint crash of it, Mira shrugged and walked deeper into the forest of dancing bodies in the middle of the plaza.
Colourful candelights and a huge range of flowers coated nearly every inch of the quad. String upon string of flowers were wound around the lanterns hanging off trees, and plentiful vibrant banners hanging over nearly surface, Mira couldn't help but to admire the beauty of the wholly adorned place. The villagers really went all out to embellish this place. It could of been done by Grasel herself, since she loved doing all these garnishes and the diverse decorating of her house whenever she could and very much thrived in it as well. It was hard to believe that people went into the effort to do this, when after the event it's just destroyed again. Mira wasn't certain who did these designs, but it was breathtakingly beautiful and needed much more recognition than a moronic festival lasting one night.
But whom ever did these, was really passionate about decorum just as much as Grasel was.
Mira lost sight of Adelaide and Zalaena in the throng of bodies. But she felt their presence, without knowing what the hell they were up to or where they were exactly; she knows they were here and close by.
She goes to middle of the crazy world, between the half naked bodies colliding and locking around each other. The movements are aggressive and passionate, it brought a slight sting into Mira's heart at how she craved physical affection from someone she truly loved. She wanted to be held like that, adored and told over and over again that she was loved. The amount of hook ups she had tonight was just a formality to feel desired by anyone. She just wanted to dull those thoughts out.
Mira raises her hands to her ruined hair, her wavy locks has become frizzy and sticky in the foggy night air. It was an awful idea to go loose hair in such weather, but her thick long hair somehow kept her more safe and secure. But now with it standing all, like a bush, Mira is debating whether this was really the way to go.
She closes her eyes and runs her fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp in the process. Her fingers felt like heaven on her head, she moans in complete bliss and arches her back as her mind spun around with the spinning bodies and alcohol in her system. She loved the dizzy feel of it. She wanted to feel more. She starts swaying her hips side to side all alone, in beat with the music. The instrumental band played fast-paced songs; Mira couldn't adore them more for it.
She spins around slowly as she smiles up into the night air with her eyes closed, cocking her hips as she danced around and around, till it wasn't the alcohol that brought her mind to a buzz but the spinning itself. She untangles her fingers from her hair and brings them to run over her breasts and stomach and eventually over her hips before repeating it over and over.
With her fingertips on either side of her hips, Mira could feel how her body wildly and briskly moved around in all sorts of twists and turns that she never knew her body could do before. And she was pretty drunk too. She had to admit. But damn. She had a fucking amazing body.
Mira smiles even wider, feeling the blood pounding in her ears, the sweat dripping down her face right into her cleavage, the chill of her skin to the touch, even though inside her blood was boiling and she was so hot - she could of turned ice into vapour. Her heart thumps faster and faster, her skin becomes more clammy and sticky from the fog and sweat; her blood pounds louder in her ears as her mind spun and spun till everything and everyone before her looked dizzying - she thought that her eyeballs rolled back with her body right around her in her head, she rightfully could of sworn it did.
With that huge rush of adrenaline, Mira turns around once more, expecting to feel another body accidentally crashing into her side; but instead she full on collides with a body. A hard male body.
At first she thought it was Kaleb. But when she looked up, she wasn't sure whether she should be disappointed or excited. The body wasn't as broad and strong as Kaleb's was; instead the body was much taller with lean muscles. She could feel by their fronts touching that he was strong and muscled.
Upon instinct, Mira's hands are plastered to his chest, rubbing it through the dark of his clothing sensually. She passes ridges and contours of strong thick muscle as she traces her fingers over his body. He was like Jezio. Not too big, but was fast and strong. But he was tall. Oh so tall.
She halts her rubbing and takes in the feel of his hot body against hers. It feels like a hard hot rock in front of her. The heat emanates from him directly onto her chill skin, soothing the bite of cold air into a much more pleasant feeling of warmth and comfort. For some absurd reason Mira wants to inch closer and have him comfort her more until she felt better, but then the back of her mind told her that she shouldn't. That was utterly the alcohol in her body speaking and most definitely not her.
She takes in his face, as he looked down at her with a blank face. He has hair dark as sin, the curls unruly as they plop down onto his forehead into his eyes. She took in careful note of how the long strands curled around his ears right to the back of his neck. They looked soft to the touch. His eyes matched his hair. Ink black and sharp and intelligent- even with him looking completely baffled before her. He has high cheekbones, with a pointed sharp nose leaving the rest of his face looking cold and mirthless.
It made him look so much more handsome, Mira nearly sucks in her breathe at the sight of him. He was wearing a long sleeved black tunic with so many leather pieces stitched in, Mira wondered whether he knew the difference between leather and polyester; and in his tunic - all around his shirt were so many metal buckles and clasps Mira couldn't even begin to count what they were all for. His pants when she eyes him lower - was the average black breeches that most young men wore, but he stood out more standing in these awfully thick leather boots wrapped tightly around his ankles with more tough metal clasps wrapped around them.
His hands are behind him, probably folded Mira wasn't sure. But he sure as hell wasn't touching her back the way she did, so she immediately dropped her hands and took a step back, nearly knocking into a half-naked couple behind her. She was a little unweary on her feet, her vision was a little blurry and her mind still spun round and round flashing colourful lanterns in her vision even though she wasn't facing them. But she still forced herself to try and stand up straight to this man.
"You're here to kill me? I wouldn't be surprised. I have many secrets people shouldn't know." She didn't sound as slurry as she thought she would.
He doesn't answer but he did grind his teeth - showing off that powerful tick in his jaw.
Mira pushes her hair to the side onto her shoulder to look more attractive to him. "You have an amazing body."
She starts giggling and trips over her feet. He catches her before she could fall face first to the ground with his arm around her waist. "I am so sorry. God's. I am so stupid! I'm not usually like this meeting men for the first time."
He brings her back to her feet as her belly did flips with his strong arm touching her so intimately. "I am not here to kill you."
His accent was something she wasn't familiar with. Maybe she was too drunk to hear correctly, but something was off with his accent. But his words were firm and his voice rich velvet, Mira could listen to him for ages without stopping.
Without thinking Mira throws herself forward with high expectations of him to catch her and then she twists her arms around his neck. She brings her lips to his ear and loud whispers so he could hear over the loud banter of the festival.
"If you're not here to kill me then why aren't you doing anything else?"
Mira ever so boldly, moves to press her drunken lips onto his. At first she felt his fast breathe through his nose directly onto her face, hot and cold air combined together. It calmed her so she pecks his lips again trying to get him to match her. His lips are not as full as she would of liked, but they were soft nonetheless which is what she liked. A lot.
She closes her eyes and pecks him again and again flipping her head from side to side but there was still no action from his side. He didn't get his arms around hers from behind him or even so much as move his damn lips. Mira was going to stop and tell him to leave until, very faintly she feels a peck back.
She smiles right onto his lips then feeling more confidently she pressed her lips firmly and hard onto his coaxing his mouth open in the process. She tries tracing the seam of his lips to get it open which he bodly accepted. With that done, Mira kisses him fast and hot. Full of passion. His cool mouth not tasting of anything tangles with hers so brutally, that she knew next morning there would be bruises on her lips. She didn't even care that her mouth tasted sourly of alcohol or that her kisses could of been sloppy but she only knew one thing and it was that she wanted this.
Moaning into his mouth, he took it as his cue to wrap his arms around her waist pressing her front tightly on his, pressing her breasts onto his warm chest warming her chill body deliciously. She moves to tangle her hands into his hair tugging his tall figure down to her, trying to press herself harder and harder against him wanting to create a friction like no other wanting there to be nothing between them.
In the back of her head Mira knew this wasn't her, and the next day she might forget this ever happened and even then forgetting his name in the process. But wasn't it best to go crazy with someone you will never see again? That way it reduces the shit storm that would hit you some day or the other.
Curling her fingers into his hair tugging hard, initiated a cry out of him as they broke away for hard breathes before colliding into another passionate lock of lips. She only tugs him harder onto her.
Leaving one hand from his hair, she continues to brutally assault his lips feeling the desire frolicking in her toes and reaching up and up her legs making her legs and thighs quiver with need and finally settling in her belly. That free hand reaches down between them running it over his hard chest and stomach and finally halts above his waistline. She didn't do anything at first, but still responding to him with her body as he seemed to enjoy it as much as she did.
Gaining no other reaction from him she presses her hand over his front, feeling something start to form-
Just as quick as she did that did he retaliate and move out of her arms with one step back. She was immediately hit with cold air on her and shivers as she deeply craved his warmth again.
She hungrily sucks in breathe as she looks up at him to see him doing the same - only his hair was completely disheveled and his lips looked blood red under the dim lighting of the lanterns surrounding them. His lips were moving up and down whispering something to himself under his breathe.
Mira frowns at him but her cloudy mind full of desire was still very much present so she looked past that and took a small step towards him not wanting to jar him away; even though she could, because there were plenty other men who would want to do more than kiss her right now. But still she didn't.
Her lips feels swollen and red and raw too; and she didn't need to see her hair at the moment to see how extra wild it looked after that hot kiss. Her heart is still pounding fast, her core was still burning and feeling tight.
A few seconds passed and he still didn't do anything so she took that as an invitation to go closer to him and then just like the sea crashing onto the shore - he and Mira fell into one another. She pressed her lips to his as he hoisted her by her waist to wrap her legs around his hips; and he was moving fast. She didn't know know where to, but with her eyes closed and her dress riding up over her hips and his hard body on hers- nothing else mattered.
Within seconds the sound of the festival has dulled to a mere whisper in the back of her mind as she feels her back hitting something hard. Bark. It was a tree. She pulls away from him as he lowers her to the floor. They were in a quiet area with a few lights but barely any person around save for a few trees and benches and still as usual the dark sky and stars above them.
She moves her gaze back to his darkened desired ones. Well fuck her. She was going to get it against a tree. She never imagined this in her life, her own home was too far from here and it would take ages to reach it and by then they'll both be tired and less lustful to even continue their job. And maybe the same went with him.
And hell. She didn't even know his name.
She smiles brightly as she pulls him down for a much sweeter and softer kiss than before. This time she took her time to explore his mouth for them to get used to one another's bodies. The feel of it. But this kiss was slow and deep, reaching the deep recesses in each other's mouths. And breathing was better as well fortunately for her.
His hands only roamed her bottom in circles not even squeezing or anything like that. He didn't even press her front against his hardness either. Mira could of laughed at him, for being so innocent but she liked how gently he was treating her. But the feelings only aroused her more, and it brought the swirl in her belly to twirl faster and faster. He then brought his so soft lips to her neck as Mira let her head flop to the side against the tree as her mouth fell open in desire.
She wrapped her arms around his shoulders drawing him closer. The blood in her body was even more heated and pumping faster. She only welcomed her it to make her feel more drunk.
His cool velvet tongue strokes lovingly caresses on her neck, at a certain spot that made Mira curl her toes and for her to skip a breathe at the desire she was feeling. He feel of his smooth tongue on her cool skin was all she needed to be feeling burned inside out.
He then slid his hands over her bottom to fall onto the backs of her thighs and slid up and up. It reminded her faintly of how she was with Kaleb that night and how he touched her like this exactly. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as he was so close to touching her where she wanted to be touched the most but then she felt a sting.
A cold ice sting.
Mira flinches and moves her thighs away from his hands. He was quickly to remove his hands out from beneath her dress to rest them on the dents on either side of her waist.
She looks down to his hands and then instantly her blood chilled to the bone. She shimmies out of his hands knowing exactly what he was here for.
"What the fuck are you?" She still manages to speak wrong too.
She covers herself by pulling her dress lower over her thighs wishing to cover them totally and then folding her arms over her chest as she looked at him with disgust.
She points to his silver rings with that all too familiar femur penetraing the right eye socket.
He didn't look any much bothered at all by her sudden outburst instead he pockets both hands into his pants and looks down at her shorter figure with a smirk. She notices with an eye roll that his earlier attempt of seeming innocent with a fake facade was just part of his dirty plan to find her.
"Took you long enough princess." He smirks even bigger and tilts his head as he eyes her thighs he just seconds ago devoured with his hands.
She rolls her eyes and looks away from him looking grim. "Your rings are too cold."
She still refuses to look him in the eye feeling dreadfully ashamed at how she threw herself at him. Him of all people.
"Remind me to get them heated next time then."
"There won't be a next time. You can forget about it." She snarls and finally looks to him.
He looked as if he were trying hard not to laugh. Mira wanted to smack that smug smirk right off his face.
"I'll keep this short princess. I am certain you have many other men to see to tonight. The tent is at the far end. The darkest one. You'll know it when you see it. My father isn't a very patient man so I suggest I escort you right there. Alone."
"He sent you to me? Were you spying on me this entire time?" She looks at him with disbelief.
He rolls his neck. "I'm just here to tell you which tent it was and to stop sticking your tongue down men's throats because you have something to do instead of partying around. And also make sure we're discreet. None of your other cute friends should go. Especially that hot black head."
"She won't like you."
He shrugs his shoulders giving her another once over before cocking his head behind her to where the clumps of tents stood.
"Talk as we walk there? Just tell your friends we're going to have a damn crazy night."
She sends him a vulgar gesture.
