A/N: Hey! So this is a part 2 that has been requested and I hope you like it! This is based off of the show called the night shift!

WARNING: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE

"I don't get it. I have never seen him unhappy, I never thought he would try to kill himself."

Scott tells the doctor as they are walking in the hallway

"You never really know what someone is going through."

"I would know though, I'm his best friend. It  just doesn't make sense."

"I'm sorry, but they are going to take good care of him. Is there any family we can contact?"

"His parents live in Texas and I will let them know."

"That will be great, while you are doing that I will check up on him."

"Okay."

Scott went off to call Mitch's parents

(Phone call N= Nel M= Mike)

N: "Hello?"

S: "Hi Mrs. Grassi."

N: "Scott Dear, what can we help you with?"

S: "Nel, Mitch is in the hospital."

N: "What? Whats wrong with my baby?"

S: "Mitch-He tried to kill himself...he jumped off of our balcony. I found him and called an ambulance, he's In surgery right now."

N: "Oh my god! What hospital is he in?"

S: "St Greens hospital."

N: "Okay, we will get plane tickets and would be there as soon as possible."

S: "Alright, see you soon."

N: "Okay, bye."

 Scott grabbed Mitch's purse as the doctor wanted to look into it to see if he could find anything that would have lead Mitch to try and kill himself.

"I just grabbed his whole purse."

"Okay."

The doctor starts to look in the bag and pulls out a pill bottle 

"Is this his?"

The doctor says as he shows Mitch the bottle of pills

"I guess so."

"He seemed fine? Didn't seem depressed?"

"No, not at all."

The doctor walks behind his desk with them pill bottle in his hand and starts to type on his computer. Then he googled the name of the medication and looked in the list of sideffects.

"Okay, this says that on of the side effects of this drug is suside thoughts or actions."

Scott is shocked and confused

"I'm going to go talk to the pharmacy, I will be back in just a second."

"Okay."

Scott sits down in the waiting room and gives his mother a call to let her know what has happened as well.

(Phone Call Scott's Mother)

C: "Hey Scottybuckets! Whats up? How are you?"

S: "U-Um I'm okay."

C: "Sweetie, you don't sound okay...What's wrong?"

S: "I-Its Mitch. H-He tr-tried to kill h-himself, I'm at the hospital and I don't know what to do! I can't lose my best friend!

C: "What? Oh my goodness honey! Do Nel and Mike know?"

S: "Yes, they do know."

C: "Tell me what happend."

S: "Mitch jumped off of our balcony, he's in surgry now."

C: "I can't believe that..he's always a joy."

S:"I know. I just want my Mitchy back!"

C: "Have the doctors told you anything?"

S: "Well-"

The doctor comes over to him

S: Mom, I have to go. Mitch's doctor needs to talk to me."

C: "Okay, give me updates."

S: "I will."

(Phone call ended)

"Scott, Mitch is out of surgery. Would you like to see him?"

Scott jumps up out of his chair eager to see Mitch 

"Yes, please."

The doctor leads him into Mitch's room. Mitch is awake and responsive. Scott walks overto Mitch and grabs his hand.

"Hi Mitchy, how are you feeling?"

"I'm okay."

Mitch replied weakly and the doctor started to fill Mitch in.

"Mitch, you will immobilized for awhile with that plevic fracture."

Mitch nodded his head and Scott asks a question

"But he's going to be okay, right?"

"Physically, he will heal okay. Mitch, we need to talk to you about the medication you were taking."

"What medication?"

"Ruproin, the acne medication. It's got some pretty serious side effects....Including suicidal thoughts."

"It wasn't the pills, I haven't even taken them yet."

"What?"

The doctor asks, confused 

"It's just been really hard for me this year, I've been feeling alone."

"Mitch, why didn't you tell me that you were feeling that way?"

Mitch looks up at Scott with tears in his eyes 

"I didn't want to bother anyone. The seconded I jumped off of the balcony, I changed my mind, but it was too late."

"Mitch, I would like someone to come and talk to you. Would that be okay?"

"Okay. Are my parents coming?"

Mitch asks Scott while trying look at him but can't because of his neck brace being In the way

"Yeah, they got on the first flight to come see you."

Scott replied then looked over at the doctor

"Can I stay with Mitch?"

"Yeah. Of course. I will check in later. Okay?"

"Okay."

Once the doctor left them both alone Scott was petting Mitch's hair and Mitch started to cry. Scott sat down on the bed moving Mitch's head on his chest and starts to rock him back and forth.

"Sorry, I'm sorry."

"It's okay Mitchy, you will be just fine."

"Y-You re-really Think s-so? I'm broken Scott."

"Your not broken Mitchy, your just having a rough time. As I said before, you are going to be just fine."

Scott kisses Mitch all over his tiny little body until he fall fast asleep, In Scott's embrace.
