"Kirstie...I just asked you a question."
"Huh? What, Scott?"
"I asked you a question, and you just zoned out."
"Oh, Sorry Scott. What were you asking??"
"My question was...are you going to do Water in a higher key like last night?"
"Uhh, I'm not sure if we can even have a show tonight Scott."
"What do you mean, Kirst?"
Suddenly, and unexpectedly Kirstie threw her hand over her mouth and ran to the bathroom. Scott was very confused at first then, he heard retching. She must have been sick, and that is not good at all. He decided to go help her in the small tour bathroom.
"Kirstie, can I come in?"
"Y-Yeah, plug your nose though."
"Okay..."
When Scott entered the bathroom, he saw Kirstie on her knees heaving over the toilet. He grabbed a few paper towels, and handed them to her when she had stopped vomiting which was very hard for him to watch.
"D-Did you tell Esther?? She's gonna freak."
"No, I haven't. Come on, let's get you on the couch. Okay?"
"Okay, maybe I just ate something weird. This is hopefully a one time thing-"
Kirstie said, seconds before moving her head right back over the toilet bowl and she started throwing up again. Scott has never been "good" with vomiting but, he will help out in whatever way she needs him to at the moment.
"Oh Kirst, that's a lot."
Time Skip: 10 Minutes Later
Once she stopped throwing up, Scott got her cleaned up a bit and was helping her to the couch. When he was doing this, Mitch looked up from his phone with a really confused look on his face.
"Scotty, what's going on??"
"Oh, Kirstie just got sick in the bathroom...so don't go in there."
"I won't. Scott, have you told Esther? She'll be all worried."
"No, I haven't told her yet."
"I'll go do it."
Mitch said as he got up, and walked to the front of the bus to tell Esther what was going on. As he was doing this, Scott had Kirstie laying down the tour bus couch and he placed a trashcan right next to her just in case she can't make it to the bathroom in time. Not to long after that, Mitch had returned with a very worried Esther.
"Kirstie, what's wrong?"
"I-I'm sick. I was feeing a little off but, I didn't think it would make me feel like this. Essie, don't cancel the show yet, please, I think maybe I just ate something weird."
"I'm not going to call it off yet but, if you don't improve then I'll have to. We don't want fans to start heading to the venue if we aren't going to have the show. Understand?"
"Yeah, oh, god."
Kirstie sat up quickly, and grabbed the trash can that Scott had thankfully placed right beside the couch. She felt so embarrassed, throwing up in front of her closest friends that she considers family. But, at least she had some help.
"I think you have some type of bug, sweetie."
Esther said as she looked through the medicine cabinet, trying to find anything that she could give Kirstie to help. She found a thermometer so, once Kirstie stopped vomiting for the third time she took her temperature. Before that, she felt her head, and she really didn't feel that hot.
"Open up, you don't feel hot to me though."
"Esther, what do you think she has?"
"I'm not sure, Mitch."
The thermometer beeped, Esther took it out, and looked at it
"Hmm...no fever."
As Esther said that, she looked at Kirstie, who was holding her stomach. She quickly tried to hand the trash can to her but, she wouldn't take it. Instead, Kirstie ran to the bathroom. Then they all realized that his seemed to be bug had hit her above and down below.
"You guys still feel okay, right?"
"Yeah."
Scott and Mitch answered at the same time
"Okay, okay, good."
"Es, I knew you'd be so stressed out. She'll be okay."
"Okay enough to do an 1 hour and 30 minute set, Scott?"
No answer was given this time
"That's what I thought."
Time Skip: 1 Hour Later
All four of the boys had left the bus, and were taking a walk. The bus smelled really bad, they didn't want to be in there and they wanted Kirstie to have space. So, none of them really knew if they would be having a show tonight or not.
"Scott, do you think we'll have a show tonight?"
"I'm really not sure, Kev. She was pretty bad off, I'm really worried about her actually. No one has gotten sick on this tour yet, and I feel bad for Kirst because she's always the one who comes down with everything."
"I know. It really sucks, man."
"Yeah, it does."
Time Skip: 30 Minutes later
They had left the bus about an hour and 30 minutes ago, and they had all decided that it was time to start heading back. As they were walking, Mitch started to feel his stomach start churning however, he just thought it was because he was worried for Kirstie, which he was.
"Mitchy? Are you worried about Kirst?? Normally, you start getting really quiet when you are worried about something."
"Yeah, I guess I am."
"She'll be okay, you know that."
"Sure..."
He was really starting to feel ill, and by the time they had gotten about 5 feet away from the bus Mitch just leaned over. The other boys were confused about what he was doing for a second....then when he started coughing they knew what was happening.
"Oh-Oh my god, here, take this, take it!!"
Mitch said as he turned his head to the side, and handed Scott his purse. After he gave it to him he just started to throw up, most of it ended up on his shirt rather than the ground. When he seemed to be done, Scott opened the door to the bus and carefully grabbed Mitch by his shoulders and guided him into the bus.
"It's okay, Mitchy, it's okay."
Once he got up the 3 stairs, with Scott right behind him and the other guys were following. Esther was talking to the bus driver when they had walked in so, when she glanced over to Mitch she saw his soaked shirt, his sick eyes, and she just put her head into her hands.
"Oh my god, this cannot be happening."
Time Skip: 20 Minutes Later
Mitch was now in fresh clothes, semi comfortable, and was laying down on the couch that was right across from Kirstie's. Esther had went into full mom mode, which didn't shock them.
"Mitchy, the trash can is right next to the couch for you."
"I r-really don't feel good, Scotty."
"You need the bucket now?"
"No."
Just as he said that, Kirstie sat up yet again and had started to get sick. This caused a Mitch to also grab his trash can, and he began to vomit was well. The rest of them on the bus really didn't know what to do at this point, that was until Esther came in for like the 12th time in 3 minutes.
"Oh no, both of them are getting sick at the same time. We're going to have to cancel. 2 of our members are vomiting every 5 minutes, there's just no way. I'll go start calling people but, just know that we aren't doing the show."
"Okay."
Scott responded as he was on his knees, eye level with Mitch and he handed him a paper towel to wipe his mouth off. It really broke his heart to see Kirstie so sick but, it hurt him even more to see Mitch like this.
"S-Scotty, I feel like garbage. Why does it have to be like this??"
"I don't know, Mitchy. Kev, do you know where the thermometer is?"
"Uhh, I know Esther had it out earlier....oh here it is."
Kevin handed him the thermometer
"Thanks. Here, let me check your temp Mitch."
"Scott, was Kirstie running a fever?"
"No she wasn't, and Mitch isn't either."
Time Skip: 1 Hour later
They had called off the show, and Scott was sitting on the couch that Mitch was one right next to his feet. He was reading all the tweets they'd gotten some fans were mad, or sending well wishes. Esther came in, called Avi and Kevin over because she needed to talk with everyone.
"Well guys, I just booked a hotel for everyone. Kirstie and Mitch have stunk up the bus, and it really needs to be cleaned before we get back on. So I think Avi and Kevin should room together as they always do. Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie will be rooming together. Oh, we're pulling up to the hotel, someone round up Kirstie's stuff and I'm sure Scott will get Mitch's things. I'll go check everyone in so you guys can just head to your rooms."
Scott made sure to pack up all of Mitch's belongings, before his own. Avi and Kevin worked as a team, just because Kirstie has so many bags. Once Scott got everything packed, he rolled both suitcases next to Mitch ready to get him off the bus.
"Mitch, baby, it's time to get off the bus...oh, caught it."
Mitch hadn't even sat up yet, he just gagged and leaned over. Thankfully, Scott knew exactly what was happening and grabbed the trash bag just in time for him to start throwing up.
"Oh Mitchy, it's fine, just fine."
Time Skip: 5 Minutes later
When he finished getting sick, Scott was kind of rushing him off the bus because he knew that in about 5 more minutes he was going to vomit again. Avi lead Kirstie off first, with Kevin hauling all of her things behind him. Mitch wouldn't get up, he wouldn't budge.
"No, I don't wanna go."
"Why not??"
"Cause, what if I get sick before we get to the room?"
"If you do, then you do. Here, just, hold your trashcan."
"O-Okay."
Once Mitch was finally standing, he was holding his trashcan in one hand, and he was holding Scott's hand as well. Scott was pulling both of the suitcases, and Mitch's make-up duffle bag on his shoulder. After they got down the 3 steps, Mitch laid his head right on Scott's other shoulder.
"Mitchy, we're almost there. We just gotta go in, and straight to the elevator."
"Sc-Scotty, I really don't feel good again."
That only means one thing...
"If you're gonna puke, please try to wait until we get into the elevator Mitch."
Surprisingly, he was able to make it to the elevator before he began to get sick again. Although, it wasn't embarrassing or anything because the only people in there were the rest of the band. Scott just stood next to him and rubbed his back, and didn't act like something crazy had happened instead, he was calm.
"Okay, we're in room 212. Which room are you in, Kev?"
"Uh...215."
"Alright, oh, here is ours."
"I just wanna lay downnn, Scotty."
" I know you do, Mitchy. You can in just a second."
Scott said as he put the keycard into the door, and it unlocked
"Kirstie, you okay?"
"Yeah...for now."
"Good."
Right when they entered the room, Mitch walked to the closest bed and flopped down
"Mitchy, you can't lay like that, you need to get under the covers."
"Okay...fine."
Mitch said as Scott threw some of the decorated pillows off the bed, and made it to were Mitch could get in there without any issues. As he was doing this though he started to feel off too. However, there was no way he was getting sick, he was just starving. Right?
"There you go, Mitch."
"Thanks."
"Welcome. Kirstie, you need anything?"
"No."
Kirstie says as she gets in her own bed, as Scott and Mitch will be sharing one of course. But, just like clockwork, Scott got this shocked look on his face and ran straight for the bathroom. He got on his knees, put the lid up, and started vomiting. Esther entered the hotel room, as she had an extra key and she wanted to check in on them. She heard gagging, and that wasn't good.
"Sh*t Scott, is Mitch getting sick again?"
Esther turned the corner and was shocked to see Mitch and Kirstie laying down in the bed not making a single sound. It wasn't until she walked over to the bathroom, and saw Scott in his current state.
"Oh. My. God."
A/N: Thanks for checking this story out, I've had this one planned for awhile now. But, I wasn't really sure at what direction I wanted it to go in so that's why I have waited so long. Next Saturday be ready for a PART 2!! BYE!!!
