WARNING: DEATH

Time Skips: Bold

"What's going on?! Is something really bad wrong with him?? Why is he at this hospital?! Please tell me that everything is okay!! Why was he brought here by ambulance???"

"Sir, you need to calm down."

"Calm down?? I-"

"I know you are worried about your friend, and once he is stable you can see him."

"O-O-Okay. But, I need to know what happened. Can you tell me? Do you know??"

"Yes, I know what has happened. He was in a car crash."

"M-Mitch was in a car crash?"

"He was, and we are trying to get him stable at the moment. When he came in, he was bleeding quite a lot. Sir, he is in pretty bad condition and he may not make it."

"Oh my god, I can't-"

"Sir, I'll be back with an update soon....you should make some calls."

"I-I will."

The nurse left the waiting room, leaving Scott in complete shock. He had gotten a call that Mitch was in the hospital, and until now he didn't know what had happened or what was going on. Now, Mitch might not make it due to a car crash. His shaking hands call all of his family and the band. He just needs to see Mitch, even if he is all bloody....it doesn't matter.

"I need an update on my friend, it's been too long."

Scott said as he couldn't take it anymore, and walked up tp the front desk

"Okay. What is your friends name?"

"Mitchell. Mitchell Grassi."

"Alright, Just one second."

"Okay."

The lady at the front desk left, and came back with the same nurse Scott had talked to earlier.

"Sir, I was just about to come get you actually. Mitchell is stable currently, and you can come see him. All though, I have to warn you, he is in rough shape."

"I don't care what shape he is in, I need to see him"

"Okay then, follow me."

When they made it into Mitch's room, Scott's heart dropped to his feet when he saw Mitch. He should've prepared himself more, even though he knew it was going to be hard to see him like this no matter what. He had a tube down his throat, a neck brace, and he was looked up to so many wires. The nurse left, so they could have a moment alone. Scott didn't even pull up a chair or anything, he just stood there and leaned over.

"Mitchy, everything is going to be just fine. You are okay, love. I know you will be, because you are a fighter and you've got this. I don't know if you can hear me or not but, p-p-please don't leave me. I need you, just as much as you need me."

Time Skip: The Next Morning

Yesterday, while Scott was in the waiting room he called Mitch's parents and they quickly got on a flight to LA. He also called the rest of the band, and they stayed at the hospital most of the night but went back home. However, Scott didn't, he would never ever leave Mitch all alone. His parents, his sister, and Scott were all in the room when the doctor came in to tell them the awful news.

"Mr. and Mrs. Grassi, is Mitchell an organ donor?"

"Yes, he is. Why?"

"Unfortunately, your son is brain dead. There is no way we can get him back, the accident completely demolished brain function and without these breathing machines he would be dead. Since he is an organ donor, we can give his organs away to save someone else."

"What? My baby is....gone??"

"I'm afraid so, Mrs. Grassi."

The doctor left the room, and everyone couldn't wrap their heads around what is happening right now. Mitch isn't Mitch anymore, he's just a body that needs to be let go. As a group they decide to go through with the organ donation, and prepare to say goodbye very soon.

Time Skip: 2 Hours

"So, this hospital has an honor walk that we do for all of the organ donation patients. What we will do, is all the doctors and staff will line the hallways and we will roll his bed all the way to the elevator where he will taken to the O.R."

"W-When will we get to say goodbye?"

"Will will stop right at the elevator, and that's where you can say your goodbyes."

Soon enough, it was time for the honor walk. The staff lined the hallways, Mitch's family and the band walked in the middle of the hallway next to Mitch's bed. Other close friends also walked with them, and it was a sad but beautiful moment. When they got to the elevator Avi, Kevin, and Kirstie said goodbye with a gentle hug and a few words.

Then it was Scott's turn, he walked up next to the bed where Mitch was peacefully laying. Just seeing all the cute stuffed animals that were surrounding him, and the little gray cat one that was sat under Mitch's arm to resemble Wyatt. The blanket that Scott had brought from home because it was his favorite, and the matching tattoos they both had. Made Scott breakdown. He put his knee on the hospital bed, and hoisted himself on the bed while making sure he didn't pull any tubes out from Mitch's body. He gave Mitch a gentle hug, and kiss while talking to him.

"Mitchy, everything is okay, you are going to save a life. You'll be in heaven, and you'll be looking over all of us. There is not a day I will not be thinking of you, Mitchy. I love you."

He got off the bed, so Mitch's family could say their goodbyes. Scott just stared at Mitch, he couldn't take his eyes off of him. Mitch just looked so pretty, in the hospital sunlight that was coming from the windows and he got one more good look as he was put in the elevator.

The elevator doors closed, and the tears were falling from everyone

"He's okay, he's going to be in heaven. Heaven, is a beautiful place, and he will love it there. Mitch will be watching, I know he will."

Time Skip: 3 Month's later

Scott looked at himself in the mirror, and took a deep breath. Today was going to be a very big day for him, he is going to meet the person who had gotten Mitch's heart. Before he left the house though, Scott went and sat in Mitch's bedroom for the first time since the accident. The last person who had been in this room, was Mitch. Scott sat down on his bed, and talked to him.

"Mitchy, I can't wait to hear from you today."

He holds back his tears, because it is way to early to be crying on this emotional day. After being in his room for about 30 minutes, he decides to go ahead and leave. Scott was meeting the girl at the same hospital where Mitch was taken to, and had later died at. She was just leaving the hospital, and was ready to live her life with a new heart.

Time Skip: At The Hospital

They had decided to meet outside the hospital, and at the same doors Mitch would've walked out if he had lived. Soon enough, a young girl walks out of the hospital holding a stethoscope. This must have been her, and Scott's eyes already started to tear up.

"Hi, are you Lilly?"

"Yes."

"You have his heart??"

"I do. Wanna listen?"

"Please."

Lilly handed the stethoscope to Scott, who took it and put it on. He put it on her chest and listened. Quickly, he could hear her heart beating. Tears cascaded down his face, as he listened to Mitch's heart in someone else's chest.

"T-T-There he is, h-he's in there. You got the best heart, he had the best heart. The best."

A/N: Thanks for reading!! This story really makes me want to be an organ donor but, I'm not sure if I'll actually decide to do that or not!!! I just hope y'all are having a great week, and are staying as safe as possible!! BYE!!!
