Car Sick
A/N: HI Y'ALL!! So, I have posted a sickfic just like this one but, it was messy and I hated the end result of it. Instead of just trashing it, I've decided to re-write the story. ENJOY!!
"Guys, come on, we need to get to the venue."
Esther said, trying to gather her grown non-biological children, well except for her brother. Everyone got in the car, Mitch sitting next to Scott as always, and no one else even dared to sit next to Scott because it was only Mitch's spot. They knew that.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, yep we got them, let's go."
Time Skip: 10 Minutes Later
As they were heading to the venue, Mitch's head was laying on Scott's shoulder. Scott didn't really think anything of it though, as sometimes he does this. However, when Scott felt 2 tiny taps on his leg from Mitch trying to get his attention.
"Yeah, Mitchy?"
"Do you know how much longer??"
"Until we'll be at the venue...orrr?"
"Yeah, yeah, that."
"I don't know, I'll ask. Essie, how much longer?"
"Umm...about 30 or so minutes."
"Oh okay."
Scott looks over at Mitch
"30 more minutes or so."
"K-Kay."
Time Skip: 10 More Minutes Later
Mitch quickly lifted his head off of Scott shoulder, making Scott jump a bit. There was this weird look on his face, a look he never ever normally expresses. Mitch's hand moved to Scott's thigh. He squeezed it, as if to get Scott's attention even though he was looking already.
"Mitchy, is something wrong??"
"I-I Uh-think-I-Uh-Might get sic-sick."
Mitch was whispering, Scott whispered back
"Sick?"
"Uh huh..I-I'm not fee-feeling g-g-great."
Scott pulls out his phone, checking the time
"It's okay, we're only about 10 minutes away."
"I-I don't think I can wait that lo-long."
A hand goes over Mitch's mouth, Scott told Esther to pull over
"Um...Essie, can you pull over for a second?"
"Sure. Why?"
The other members look away from their phone screens, just to see why Scott was so urgent about pulling over. As they did this, it happened, Mitch began to get sick. Since his hand was over his mouth, it made the vomit spray everywhere. He was leaning over Scott's lap, which was also covered in his best friends breakfast.
"Mitchy, oh, oh, oh, uh oh."
"Oh, did someone spill something or...?"
Esther turned around, and nope, nothing spilled, just Mitch's stomach. After seeing a sight like that she quickly pulled over as Scott had asked though there was no point now.
"I'm unbuckling you now, Mitchy."
Scott unbuckles his own seatbelt and Mitch's. Then, he tried to help Mitch as best he could but he just resorted to rubbing his back as he was still vomiting up chunks. Once they were parked on the side of the road, Esther quickly got out and opened the door. When she opened the door Mitch leaned over continuing to vomit on the sidewalk.
"S-S-Sorry."
Mitch choked out, making everyone's heart burst
"It's okay. Kirstie??"
"Yeah?"
"Can you get some napkins? In the glove department."
Esther ordered, and Kirstie obeyed
"Sure, just a second."
After Kirstie grabbed handfuls of napkins, she brought them over. Everyone took a few of them starting to wipe Mitch down, and Scott. Kirstie and Esther were trying to get the sick off of Mitch's lap and shirt. Also Scott's, who despite having puke that wasn't his own on his clothes was also trying to clean Mitch up before himself.
"Mitchy, hey, it's okay, you couldn't help it."
Mitch wasn't throwing up anymore, he was crying
"I-I-got-I-It all o-o-over you th-th-though."
"It's okay Mitchy, I know you didn't mean it."
"Hold this bag and a few napkins incase you start throwing up again."
When anyone on tour was sick, Esther is the nurse but, is always the momma bear first. She handed him the bag and Mitch took it, spitting into the bag a few times. Once he and Scott were wiped down the best that they could be, they decided to head back to the hotel. Esther was on the phone with the venue, planning to see what happens in a few hours and if Mitch was well enough they'd have the show run, just postponed for a few hours.
"Mitch, we're going to start moving again."
"O-Oh okay."
Time Skip: 5 Minutes Later
A few minutes after they got back on the road again, Mitch felt a pain in his stomach that he knew all too well, and he knew what was going to be coming next.
"Ow!! Oh, f*ck."
"Mitchy, are you feeling sick again?"
Scott questions as he starts rubbing up and down on his back
"Y-Yeah O-Oh-"
Mitch begins to cough and then a few seconds later, as expected vomit comes for the second time this morning. Scott is quick to help him but, there is not much he can do for Mitch right now. At least he has a bag this time, so they don't have to pull over.
"You're okay, get it all out."
"Should we pull over again?"
Esther asked, wanting what was best for Mitch
"I don't know, I think he's alright now that he has a bag."
Scott replied now patting Mitch's back as he coughed
"Okay, we won't pull over now. But just let me know if he needs us too."
"I will."
Mitch threw up another wave of vomit into the bag
"We're pulling into the hotel parking lot now, Mitchy."
"S-S-Scotty I j-just wanna lay d-down."
He stopped vomiting and wiped his own mouth
"I know, I know, we're here."
Scott helped Mitch get out of the car quickly, taking him back up to the hotel room. They both needed showers and clothing changes. Scott was sure to let Mitch shower first, as he needed it more than Scott at the moment.
"Mitchy, let's get you into the shower."
Time Skip: 1 Hour Later
Mitch and Scott had both taken showers, and were both in a fresh pair of clothing. It must've just been motion sickness because, since getting out of the car Mitch hasn't gotten sick again. He was currently taking a nap, and recovering from this mornings events. He had just woken up though from his sleep, cuddling with Scott in the bed.
"Mitchy, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine now, it was just the car ride."
Mitch says with a small smile
"That's great Mitchy!! I'm so glad!!!"
"Me too. Sorry for throwing up on you."
"It's okay, I'd never be mad, you know that."
"I know. I'm still SO embarrassed."
"Don't be, it just happens sometimes."
"Thank you, you are the sweetest and the best caregiver. Scotty, I wouldn't have made it through today without you. I was legit, heaving on your lap, you are not upset like other people would be because you are so caring. Thank you."
"Always welcome, Mitchy. You know what??"
"What?!"
"I kind of like this nurse thing."
"I do too."
A/N: Thanks for reading!! I think this is one of my favorites that I have written just because it is personal to me. Well, not the vomiting part but I'm always motion sick lol. Comment below if you ever get motion sick, I can't be the ONLY one!! BYE!!!
