WARNING: CANCER
Mitch has been in the hospital for a few days now, and he's already itching to get out. Of course, with all the aggressive chemo it's had some very bad side effects on him and it's so sad for Scott to just sit there and sooth him when he can't do anything to make Mitch better.
"Oh baby, Mitchy, it's okay. Just get it up, you are fine."
Scott said, as he rubbed Mitch's back and held the bed pan for him as he threw up for like the 10th time today. Again, there is nothing that the blonde can do but, tell Mitch that everything will be okay. When Mitch finally stopped vomiting, Scott wiped his mouth with a cloth the nurse had given him and helped him lay back down.
"Scotty, my leg feels tingly."
"Do you want me to rub it?"
Scott questions as he pulls the blanket off of Mitch's leg that he pointed to, and gently rubbed it to see if that would help at all.
"Is this helping?"
"No, not really."
"Alright then, I'm gonna hit the nurse call button so she can figure out what's up. K?"
"Okay."
5 Minutes later
"Hey, you hit the call button. What's the issue, Mitch?"
Nurse Annabelle questioned as she walked into Mitch's hospital room, she has been his nurse and it's safe to say that she and Mitch are friends. Before the chemo symptoms to very bad, they had a bunch of girl talk and Annabelle enjoyed it as it distracted Mitch from his new crazy life. If she's met Mitch, then she has met Scott too who acts like more of a nurse to Mitch than she does.
"Mitch was saying his leg was tingly, why does it feel like that."
"Oh, that is one of the effects of chemo I'm afraid and there isn't anything I can give you to help. I'm sorry, Mitch."
"Ugh, I've been in here for like a week and I already wanna get out."
"Mitchy, it's been 3 days."
"Well still, Scotty. Is there anything I can do...to get some fresh air or something?"
"Mitch, Scott and I can take you for a walk if that would help."
"Ah!! Yes please!"
Mitch said in excitement, throwing his legs to the side of the bed ready to get up and walk.
"Hey, not so fast Mitch. I'm getting you a wheelchair, Scott make him stay sitting still I get back with it please."
"Gotcha, he won't go anywhere out of my sight."
"I'll be back soon, it should be like 10 minutes."
10 minutes later
"Mitchy, look!! Your uber has a arrived."
"Very funny Scotty, very funny now help me get into the wheelchair."
"Alright, up."
Scott helped Mitch into the wheelchair, while Annabelle grabbed him a blanket and a bed pan to sit on his lap just in case he got sick while on the walk. Then, they whisked him off into the outdoors where Mitch was longing to be at the moment.
"Here, I'll push him, you walk next to the wheelchair Scott."
"Okay."
Outside
It was a sunny day, and the hospital Mitch was in had the prettiest birds in the trees and flowers on display that you'd never know it was a hospital.
"Mitchy, look at that bird."
"Awwwe! A red bird!! So pretty! Look at that blue one, it's beautiful."
"Wait, where? I don't see it, Mitchy."
"It's right there, Scotty. Right where you pointed to the red bird, it's next to it."
"Oh yeah, that is pretty. But, not as pretty as you Mitchy."
"Sis, I know."
"Hahaha!! I love my sassy Mitchy!"
30 Minutes later
"Scotty, I'm getting tired. Can we go back in?"
"Of course, baby, anything you want."
Scott said as he gave Mitch a kiss on his forehead, and Annabelle had overheard them anyway so she pushed him back toward the building.
"How was the tour, Mitchy?"
"It was great, and very relaxing."
"Good, I'm glad."
Once Mitch was back in bed, and very tired, he ran his hands through his emo side bangs and pulled hair out. He didn't expect it happen so fast, not at all. Scott hadn't realized what had happened, as he was fluffing Mitch's pillows so when he looked down and saw Mitch holding his hair it saddened him.
"Hey, it's okay, it's just hair babe."
Scott said, as Mitch's watery brown eyes looked up at him and then he started to cry. To be quite honest, neither of them were ready for something like that to happen so soon. Mitch was crying a bit, but now he was full on sobbing.
"I-It's just gonna k-k-ke-keep falling out, S-S-Scotty."
"I know baby, but you don't need it anyway you are beautiful."
"T-There's not enough time, Scotty."
"Time for what, sweetheart?"
"It was a beautiful day, to see all the birdy's chirping and to feel the sun. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time here anymore, a-a-and I- "
"Babe, don't say that."
"I have to, Scotty. I have to see the reality of this, I have cancer in my brain. T-There's no way I'm going to make it. S-S-So I just want to spend however much time I have, with you. I love you."
"Mitchy, I love you too."
"I love you most."
