Young Love
I'm so freaking obsessed with this idea.
****
Mitch and Scott were the power couple of the school.
They'd been best friends since literal birth, Nel was giving birth to Mitch in the room next to where Connie was giving birth to Scott.
Nel and Connie were best friends and always knew Mitch and Scott would be too.
Everyone at kinder knew they were best friends so they never tried to be their best friend.
Except Kirstie.
Kirstie walked up to them and said "hi. I'm Kirstie. I don't like the girls so can I hang out with you two instead?"
And they knew she would be a perfect fit in their friendship.
Although, they started dating the second they were allowed to. Which was sixteen. So Scott asked Mitch out on their sixteenth birthday.
And bam! Instant power couple.
Although something happened when they were both seventeen.
They had to get married.
Uh...ill explain a little more. It was found out that Mike and Nel had illegally crossed the border on a plane with a few other people that couldn't afford moving and getting passports.
(Don't get all facty on me...it's fiction...)
And soon the law caught up to them.
And the only possible way for them to stay was a direct relations to actual Americans...
And that's where the Hoying's came it.
And that's where marriage came in.
So, the high school power couple was now the high school married couple.
People were so confused at first, but when Scott and Mitch didn't really answer why they got married, people stopped asking. They just assume they were so in love they had to get married.
Although their marriage was quite funny. They didn't live together, but they were allowed to have sleepovers because marriage.
And when Mitch got grounded once and his phone got taken away, Mitch said "you're not gonna let me talk to my own husband!?"
So Scott being an exception to that one.
Things were okay though. The Grassi's could stay and Mitch and Scott knew they'd probably get married anyway...
And hey...now Mitch had two last names.
"Morning!" Mitch greeted as he gave Kirstie a hug. Kirstie jumped slightly at the sudden approach but smiled and hugged him back tightly.
"Good morning, Mitch!"
Mitch pulled back and then greeted Jeremy, her boyfriend.
"Where's Scotty?" Kirstie then asked.
"Wait...I thought was with you. Oh, fuck." Mitch whined as he pulled out his phone.
He dialed in Scotts number and waited impatiently as it rang. And then kept ringing. And ringing.
"Hi, this is Scott Hoying! I can't come to the phone--"
Mitch hung up and rolled his eyes.
"I'll call Mrs. Hoying. I swear to gosh if he skipped again I'm going to be pissed."
"Oh, there he is!" Kirstie spotted, pointing behind Mitch. Mitch sighed with relief and put his phone back in his pocket and turned back. He saw Scott talking with avi and Kevin.
Mitch excused himself for a few minutes and went over to Scott.
"Hi, Mitch." Kevin greeted since he was the first one to see him. Scott smiled and turned around, giving Mitch a big hug before letting Mitch slip under his around as they continued conversation.
Mitch took his phone out again and checked missed text he forgot to look at that morning as Avi and Scott talked about a sport that wasn't naked wrestling so he tuned then out.
He didn't notice as Avi and Kevin walked away.
"How'd you sleep?" Scott asked as he hugged Mitch again, resting his cheek tiredly on top of Mitch's head.
Mitch chuckled slightly and wrapped his arms around Scott tightly.
"Alright, I suppose. You?" Scott only groaned tiredly in response.
"Ah, I see. Not well. I love you, by the way." Scott kissed Mitch's head before pulled back and kissing his forehead.
"And I you." Scott replied, then kissing his lips only to be interrupted by the school bell.
Mitch pouted and kissed Scott again before stepping back. Scott made grabby hands toward him only to see Mitch shake his head
"Get to class, big fella. I'll see you in chemistry." Mitch said. Scott groaned again and pulled his backpack further up his shoulder.
"I love you!" Scott yelled to Mitch as he walked away.
Since it was loud as students stomped to their classes, Mitch simply replied in sign language.
"Love you too!"
Scott sighed as Mitch disappeared.
"Stop pouting over your husband, Scottland. Let's get to class. You'll see em' soon." Kevin said as he grabbed his wrist and dragged him along.
