The women frantically left her kitchen, a thin layer of sweater covered her pale and wrinkled face as she struggled to keep her balance.
Scott laughed loudly and knocked, yet other, glass cup off the counter. The women screamed loudly again and raced to the front door.
I stood in front of her and blocked her path and held the doorknob firmly in my hands making sure she couldn't leave.
She hyperventilated as she ran her hands through her dyed red hair
"God save me!" She begged, her voice trembling with fear. Scott sighed with satisfaction as he leaned against the wall next to the door.
"Think she's scarred for life yet?" He asked quietly despite the fact that she couldn't hear him.
I smirked and nodded once, placing my hand in his as I began to walk away, tugging him along with me.
The women was crying, still panicking beyond belief as she began dialing 999. I rolled my eyes as I pulled the slide door to the left.
Now being slapped with the cold winter air, numbness already taking hold of my fingers, Scott shut the door behind him.
"She won't be harassing her anymore now will she?" Scott asked sarcastically.
"That is, of course, if she goes to an asylum." He finished. I have a half laugh as we walked through the opened gate.
"Should we tell Kirstie now, Or do you think she's asleep?" I shrugged slightly before answering him.
"I'm sure she's awake, probably wondering where we are." I replied, rubbing my red nose. Scott nodded and grabbed both of my hands and held them low between us.
I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, him copying the action. And in a split second, we stood in Kirstie's bedroom where she lay on her bed, holding her phone above her.
The Ouija board was resting on her bed, still unmoving from where we last left in.
I approached Kirstie, dropping Scotts hands as the dizziness went away.
I blew gently on her face which caused her to sit straight up.
"Are you two back?" She asked, looking around the room, her eyes going passed me a few times.
She then grabbed the board and plastic triangle and rested her fingers gently on it.
"Is it it you two?" She asked, staring at the board.
Scott walked forward and placed his hands on top of her, moving her hands towards the 'yes.'
Kirstie smiled as she took another deep breath.
"She's definitely going to be admitted into a hospital, right?"
Kirstie then asked. Scott smiled and moved her hands toward the 'yes' again.
Kirstie smiled and looked up, looking right at school although she couldn't see him.
"Thank you, guys. I couldn't survive without you." I smiled and kissed the top of Kirstie's head, causing her hand to immediately touch the spot I kissed.
"Was that you, Mitch?" I smiled and moved the triangle to the 'yes' again.
Kirstie smiled and moved the triangle to the goodbye.
"I love you guys...and I miss you." She said sadly, closing the board and putting it away. I smiled sadly and went next to Scott, grabbing his hand again.
"Gosh, I can't believe that women was harassing Kirstie online. She's literally sixty...you'd think she'd have something better to do then attack a seventeen year old girl." Scott commented before kissing the top of my head gently. I smiled and leaned closer to him.
"Yeah, I can't either. But at least the police are definitely going to send her to the hospital now. That'sthe 30th time she's called." Scott nodded in agreement before leading me out of her bedroom when Kirstie began getting into her covers after shutting her lights off, her face illuminated by her phone screen as her eyes were glued to it with slightly squirted eyebrows.
It had been two years now after me and Scott had died. We died together though, inside of a mall, the store Rue 21 underneath the counter.
We were both shot be a crazed man who began shooting his pistol at everyone when he entered the mall. We just so happened to be the first store you see upon entering, so we were the first to be killed.
It was painless, it was quick.
I was shot two seconds before Scott. And Scott always tells me how incredibly horrified he was when he saw me die.
He said he couldn't live without me. Then again, I was only dead for two more seconds then he was.
And now here we are, simple souls stuck in our bodies as we communicate to our best friend Kirstie.
We help her, she misses us. We miss her too, but I'm happy I'm dead with Scott.
The love of my death.
