"Nancy!"

And that's what Scott woke up to. He frowned, trying to tune out Mitch's continuous calls for their nurse.

Of course, Nancy quickly came in their room.
"Nancy, I'm hungry." Mitch complained. Nancy glanced at her watch and let out a quiet sigh.

"'Suppose I could take you a few minutes early. Scott? Did you fall back asleep?" Mitch giggled and went over to Scotts bed.

"Wakey wakey eggs and... um... anyway, wake up!" Mitch laughed. Scott groaned in annoyance and tried pushing him away.

"Baby, please let me sleep." Scott begged tiredly. Mitch gasped, and Scott heard him whisper.

"Nancy, did you hear what he just called me!? I want him to do it again, I'm going to try and make him do it again." Scott couldn't help the small smile that went to his face.

Mitch leaned back toward Scott with a grin.
"Wake up!" Mitch said hopefully. Scott opened his eyes, squinting slightly due to the brightness.

"Baby."

Mitch gasped and quickly turned toward Nancy.
"I did it! Oh, Nancy, I'm hungry." Nancy laughed under her breath, nodding slightly.

"Okay you two, let's go. Scott, you have to come now or else the food'll be cold." Scott groggily followed Mitch and Nancy as he got pulled by Mitch out of the room.

He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, slowly trailing behind them as Mitch held his hand, trying to make him follow faster.

After breakfast, they nurses set out to give the patience their medicine since they couldn't take them on a empty stomach earlier.

And this was when Scott prayed silently.
Mitch hated taking medicine, and they nurses wouldn't hesitate to subdue the patience if they became hostile.

"Here you are Mitch." Nancy said, handing him the three green pills. Scott could practically see Mitch's anger building up.
"No! I don't wanna!" He stated, crossing his arms. Scott sighed, reaching over to hold Mitch's hands.

Mitch smiled and glanced at Scott.
"Oh, Nancy, look! He just held my hands!" He whispered not so quietly to Nancy. Nancy smiled at him, passing a knowing look to Scott.

"That's so sweet of him, Mitch." Nancy said softly. Mitch then remembered what he was supposed to do and grew upset again.
"No! I don't want to, I don't want to! Nancy, don't make me! They give me headaches and make me feel numb and tired! I do not want to, I'm not going to! No, no, no!"

Mitch yelled, slamming his hands on the table despite Scotts hold on them.
Scott glanced nervously at Nancy before looking back at Mitch.
"Baby, just take them. They're good for you, I promise. They're helping you--"

"Nancy, he called me it again!" Mitch exclaimed happily.

Although this happiness was quickly replaced with a cry.
"Nancy, no! I don't wanna, p-please don't make me! Scott, get them away! I don't w-want them, pleas get them away from me!" Mitch begged, pleading eyes staring back at Scotts.

Scott felt pained as he heard Mitch's begs and cries.
"Baby, it's okay--"

Mitch laughed despite the tears pouring down his face and leaving his eyes with every blink.
"He d-did it again!" He informed Nancy, who was frowning deeply.

"Mitch, you need to take these." Mitch shrieked loudly, trying to kick her away.
"No, no!"

Nancy trying to shush him, as he was very clearly gathering the attention of everyone.
"I don't want to, stop it! Leave me alone, I want Scott! Scott?"

And that's when the other nurses got involved. Scott desperately tried getting Mitch to calm down, but Mitch just continued crying.

The nurses soon pushed Scott away, much to their dismay.
"No! Scott! Where did you-- Scott?" Mitch cried, looking around for the blond.
One of the nurses, Henry, tried forcibly opening his mouth, but Mitch hit him away.

"Ow! No! Nancy, Scott! Scott! Scott, please help me!"

Nancy let Scott by to be beside Mitch. Scott leaned forward and kissed Mitch's forehead, and it made Mitch gasp.
Nancy plopped the pills in his mouth.

Mitch quickly swallowed the pills so he could talk. He faced Nancy, his face flushed and his eyes slightly swollen from the tears.

He smiled widely.
"Nancy, did you see that!? He kissed my forehead!

"Nancy!" Mitch called out. Nancy shushed him as she dimmed the light of their room.

"Mitch, people are sleeping. You need to be quiet." She softly said. Mitch sighed and nodded.

"I just wanted to say goodnight..." he mumbled. She smiled, walking toward the door.
"Goodnight, Mitch. Night Scott. I'll see you two in the morning."
Scott mumbled a goodnight to her as she left.

And as Scott expected, moments later he heard Mitch hop of his bed and take quiet steps to his.
Scott rolled over, lifting up the blanket slightly so Mitch could lay next to him.
Mitch let out a sigh as he slid in the bed, immediately going to hug Scott.

Scott smiled as Mitch wrapped his arms around Scotts torso and laid his head on his chest.

"Do you want to play the game again?" Mitch whispered. Scott smiled, nodding slightly.

"How about you get to ask me the questions now?" Mitch gasped quietly.
"That's a grand idea. Okay, um... once we can leave here, would you still want to see me sometimes?"

Scott sighed happily, snuggling closer to Mitch.
"Yeah."

"Yes..." he heard Mitch mumble in victory.
"Okay. Would you want to live with me?"
Once again, Scott didn't hesitate.

"Yes." He easily relied. Mitch exclaimed excitedly, squeezing Scott briefly.

"Do... do you like, like like like like like me?"

"Yeah."

Mitch began giggling, moving his feet slightly. He felt pure joy, and Scott was quite fond of if.
"When I take my medicine tomorrow, will you kiss my forehead again?"

"Yes."

"Yay!" Mitch relieved. After a few moments of silence, Scott assumed Mitch had fallen asleep. Because he had a tendency to do that, no matter how energetic he was, he could just be practically knocked out the next.

But, he wasn't. And it surprised Scott when Mitch adjusted his position, and unexpectedly kissed Scott.

Didn't last long, just like the others, but it meant the world to both of them.

"Is it... um, is it okay with you that I want to marry you someday?"
Mitch asked, going back into his previous spot.

Mitch could hear Scotts heartbeat. And it reminded him of someone playing the drums. It was fast and loud, Mitch wondered why.

"Yes."

Mitch smiled.
"Nancy!" Scott quickly shushed him, about to put his hand over Mitch's mouth again.

"Mitch, its late. Don't call her--"

"Nancy!"

"Mitchell--!"

"Nancy!"

Nancy opened the door, and Scott snapped out of the position they were in. He sat up quickly, and Mitch did the same.
Nancy smiled, her eyebrows raised questioningly.
"Yes, Mitch?"

Mitch gestured for her to come closer. Scott huffed, rolling his eyes.

She did so quickly, leaning down slightly to he his height.
Mitch looked at Scott, and Scott without hesitation, covered his ears.

Mitch smiled as he looked back at Nancy.
"Do you remember when I asked you this morning, if it was okay to be in love with Scott?"

Nancy nodded.

"Okay, good. Is it okay to want to marry Scott when I leave here?" Nancy smiled, glancing back at Scott who definitely didn't have his hands over his ears anymore.
And he stared at Mitch.

Although Mitch was facing away and couldn't see that Scott had heard what he said.
Nancy nodded slowly.

"Yes Mitch, that's alright."

Mitch sighed in relief.
"Okay, good. Goodnight Nancy!"

Nancy passed a goodnight to them both again before leaving. Mitch looked back at Scott who seemed slightly flushed.

"Are you okay, Scott?" Mitch asked curiously, pressing the back of his hand to Scotts forehead.
"You're warm." He added. Scott nodded slowly, not breaking eyecontact with Mitch.

"Mitch, do you love me?"

Mitch laughed at Scott with a slight shake of his head.
"You're so silly. I'm supposed to ask the questions this time." He said aviously.

Although Scott didn't let that stop him, so he asked Mitch again. Mitch tilted his head slightly, but still smiled.

"Do you?"

"Yeah." Scott stayed staring at Mitch, unmoving.
Mitch began to slouch, and a few moments later, laid back down.

Scott laid down to, and they both naturally fell back into the same position.

"Do you know what my mom used to tell me?" Scott asked in a soft whisper.

Mitch moved his head up slightly so he could look at Scott; and he hummed in response.

"That kisses on the forehead were the silently way of saying 'I love you."

It took Mitch a few moments to understand, but he soon gasped and sat up.

"Nancy! You wouldn't believe what he just told me! Nancy!"
