Husband

"Mitch Hoying?" Mitch smiled and stood up, making his way towards the nurse.

"He's all done. He's very, very loopy though. I'll give you some more information when he's ready to leave though, okay?" Mitch nodded at the kind lady and followed her down to the room he was in.

Upon entering, Mitch saw Scott who was laying in a chair with gauze in his mouth and his eyes closed.

Mitch smiled as Scott finally opened his eyes when Mitch sat down.
"Are you the doctor?" Scott asked groggily as he closed his eyes again.

Mitch chuckled and shook his head slightly.
"No honey, I'm not the doctor." Mitch replied and subtly got his phone out.

"Then who are you?" Asked Scott. Mitch laughed quietly as he hit record.

"My names Mitch. I'm your husband." Scott eye went wide and his mouth rest open.

"You're my husband!?" He asked, baffled. Mitch laughed again although quickly contained himself.

"Yes, I am. Oh," he said, reaching over to the table next to Scott, "here's the ice pack. Hold that up to your face."

Scott obeyed and pushed the pack on the smack middle of his face. Mitch giggled and moved his wrist back gently.

"Just the left side, sweetheart." Scott, in a slow movement, moved the ice pack.

"Are you a model?" Scott asked after the ice pack rest secure on his left cheek. Mitch smiled and shook his head.

"Do we have babies?" Mitch laughed with a shake of his head.

"No, not yet." Scott then looked up at the ceiling and coughed.
"There's something in my mouth. Get it out!" Scott randomly yelled. Mitch quickly shushed him and then noticed he was referring to the gauze.

"Honey, we can't take that out. Your mouth is bleeding." Scotts eyes went wide with fear.

"I'm bleeding!?" He asked frantically. Mitch shushed his again and rested his hand on Scotts leg which seemed to calm him. "Yes, but you're fine." Mitch replied, trying not to laugh again.

"How long have we been married?" Scott asked as he grabbed Mitch's hands and held it like a teddy. Mitch moved slightly so he wasn't leaning forward so much.

"Two years." Mitch answered with a smile as Scotts eyes went wide again.

"Holy heck, I scored big time." Mitch laughed loudly then.

"Why are you laughing at me? You're supposed to be my husband." Scott quickly defended.

Mitch laughed again, almost silently this time.
"No no, honey, I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing with you." Scott tilted his head slightly and his eyes fell shut again.

"But I'm not even laughing." He replied. Mitch ended the recording then and put his phone down on the table.

"Oh Scott, you are something else." Mitch murmured. He rested his hand on Scott's cheek and caressed it with his thumb.

The nurse walked in then, telling Mitch about the after effects and such. She then brought in a wheel chair and looked at Mitch expectedly.

"Okay Scott, get up. This girl cannot get you in this wheelchair without your effort." Scott opened his eyes lazily and squinted them.

"I thought you were a boy. I don't like girls." Scott said sadly. Mitch rolled his eyes playfully and shook his head.

"I'm a boy. Don't worry."

"Prove it." Scott tried. Mitch smirked and rolled his eyes again.

"I'll prove it to you later when we're not in a workplace and you're not drugged." He replied.

Scott seemed confused but didn't have time to ask since Mitch and the nurse were already pulling him up and getting him in the wheelchair.
