Mountain Climbing With The Trio
(A/N, I don't know a lot about mountain climbing, so sorry if I get something wrong)
"You're crazy." Kirstie said.
"I agree." Mitch said.
"What? I need to do something crazy!" Scott exclaimed.
"Like climb up a f--king mountain?!" Mitch exclaimed.
"Avi would love this."
"C'mon, guys!" Scott exclaimed. "This'll be fun!"
"How is it fun!?" Kirstie exclaimed.
"Just trust me."
"The last time you said that we all got stomach flu." Mitch muttered.
Scott rolled his eyes, sighing. "I'm about to go crazy, so either I'm going by myself, or my two besties can come with me!"
Kirstie thought about it for a second. "Okay!"
Mitch shook his head. "I don't know..."
"Mitchy, it'll be fun, I promise." Scott said, smiling at his friend. "We can go to Starbucks after."
"That's gonna bribe me?"
"Don't blame me for trying." Scott sighed. "Please? For me?"
Mitch made the mistake of looking into his friend's pleading eyes. "Oh sh-t, not the puppy dog eyes."
"Oh yes."
Mitch groaned. "Fiiiiiiine. I'll go."
"Thankssomuchmitchy!" Scott exclaimed, hugging his friend.
Mitch smiled. "You're welcome, but if we die I'm gonna kill you."
------------------------
"Um, do you even know how to do this?" Mitch asked, as they stood at the bottom of some large rocks.
"Climb, of course." Scott said.
"I meant do you know how to belay us." Mitch said.
"Yeah, I watched a video on YouTube." Scott said, as he tied some ropes around his waist.
"Oh, I feel totally safe." Kirstie said, rolling her eyes.
"I'm not gonna drop one of you, calm down." Scott said. "Who's going first?"
Kirstie and Mitch looked at each other. "Rock, paper, scissors?"
Mitch nodded. "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"
Kirstie threw paper and Mitch threw scissors.
"Yes!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry, Kirst."
Kirstie shook her head. "Just get me up."
Scott and Mitch tied the harness around her waist, making sure the carabiner was fastened.
"Ready?"
"Just don't drop me." Kirstie said, as she began climbing.
"YOU'RE DOING GREAT, KIRST!" Mitch called.
"SHUT UP! I'M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE!" Kirstie screamed back, as she looked for a place to put her feet.
Mitch looked at Scott, who looked stressed. "Scotty, you're doing great, just please don't kill Kirst."
"I'm working on it." Scott said through gritted teeth, as he focused on belaying his friend.
A few minutes later, Kirstie was on top of the large rocks. "I GOT UP! AND WOW IS IT A LONG WAY DOWN!"
Mitch and Scott laughed. "YOU DID GREAT!"
"THANKS! NOW GET YOUR BUTTS UP HERE!"
Scott looked over at Mitch. "I promise not to drop you, even if Beyonce walks by."
"If she does I want you to drop me." Mitch said, grinning as Scott tied ropes around him.
Scott smiled, giving his friend a quick kiss on his forehead. "I've got you."
Mitch nodded, facing the rocks. "I can do this." He grabbed some of the rocks, pulling himself up.
"Mitch! There's a place to put your foot on your left!" Scott called.
"My left or your left?"
"We have the same left, b--ch."
"Right, okay."
As he climbed, a rock under his feet broke.
Mitch screamed, losing his grip at the same time.
"MITCHY!" Kirstie screamed.
"I'VE GOT YOU!" Scott shouted. "KIRSTIE, I'VE GOT HIM!"
Kirstie nodded. "You're almost there, boo, just a little further."
Mitch nodded, climbing up the rest of the way, Kirstie pulling him up.
"Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh." Mitch said, his legs shaking.
"It's okay, hon, it's okay." Kirstie said. "SCOTT! WHEN YOU GONNA GET UP HERE!?"
"I'M COMING!" Scott called back. "JUST HOLD ON A HOT SECOND!"
Kirstie nodded, turning back to Mitch. "Hey, you're okay."
Mitch nodded, as Kirstie sat down next to him. "That was terrifying."
"Yeah."
Mitch started to laugh. "I climbed a mountain! I climbed a mountain!"
Kirstie laughed too. "That's crazy! That was so fun!"
They heard the sound of a car on gravel, and turned around.
Scott waved at them from Kevin's truck. (They had borrowed it to go climbing)
"That son of a mountain goat." Kirstie growled.
"YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT WE COULD'VE DRIVEN UP HERE!" Mitch shouted. "YOU'RE THE WORST!'
Scott only laughed. "You know I hate heights!"
"So do I!" Mitch and Kirstie exclaimed.
"Sorry, Kirst can belay me next." Scott said. "Ohmygosh."
"What's wrong?" Mitch asked.
"Look at your carabiner."
Mitch did, seeing that it wasn't fastened. "Woah, I could've died!"
"You say that so calmly." Kirstie said with one of her classic eye rolls.
"Mitchy, I'm so sorry, hunty." Scott said, holding Mitch's hands.
"Scott, can I tell you something?" Mitch said.
"Yeah?"
"I'm never, ever, ever going mountain climbing again."
