Lullabies
(A/N, this song is what I listen to to help me calm down at night, even tho I'm publishing it in the morning. :)
"Mitch, I'm gonna go to bed." Scott said.
"Okay, Scott." Mitch replied.
The blonde got up, going to his room, while Mitch pulled out his phone.
"G'night, Mitchy!" Scott called.
"Good night!"
Mitch got ready for bed, Wyatt getting in his way.
"Wyatt Blue Grassi-Hoying, get out of my way! I'm gonna kill you." Mitch said, the cat jumping down. "Finally."
He poked his head out of his bathroom doorway. "SCOTT!"
"YEAH! WHAT?" Scott shouted from downstairs.
"I'M GONNA TAKE A SHOWER, OK?"
"OK!" Scott shouted. "Why's he gotta ask me about a frickin shower?"
He heard the water turn on, then heard something else.
Scott's head shot up, wrenching his door open.
Singing, Mitch was singing.
"One last time, I need to be the one who takes you home!" Mitch was singing loudly. "One last time, and after that, I'm sure, I'll let you go!"
Scott smiled, keeping his door open, so he could hear the other boy's angelic voice better.
When the water shut off, Scott poked his head out of his doorway again. "MITCH! YOU SOUND AMAZING!"
"THANK YOU!" Mitch called back. "WAIT! YOU COULD HEAR ME!?"
Scott laughed. "YES! I LOVE YOUR VOICE!"
"AW THANKS!"
Wyatt walked into Scott's room, jumping on his bed.
"Okay, Wyatt, bedtime." Scott said, picking the cat up, so he could get under the covers.
Scott went immediately to sleep, but Mitch had a little more trouble.
He lay in bed, still wide awake. Mitch finally gave up and grabbed his phone, going on his texts.
Mitch: Scott? You up?
Scott: Mitchell, it's 2 AM!!!
Mitch: I know, I cant sleep
Scott: do you want me to come to your room?
Mitch: that's perfect, thx
A few minutes later, Scott and Wyatt were on Mitch's bed.
"Insomnia again?" Scott asked.
Mitch nodded.
"Okay, what do you want me to sing this time?" Scott asked.
"I don't know, you pick." Mitch said.
"Okay."
Scott cleared his throat. "I counted the stars tonight. Oh how they shine so bright, I gather them all, so we perfectly align. While we gaze from far away, and separately watch the day, come rising across the horizon in our minds."
He finished the rest of the song, seeing Mitch asleep. Scott smiled, kissing the boy's forehead. "Good night, Mitchy." He said, curling up next to him.
