Christmas Lights
(A/N, is it Christmas? Nope, do I care? Nope! I'm a Christmas lover, and I listen to PTX Christmas 24/7, so here you go!)
"It's Christmas eve!" Scott exclaimed, jumping down the stairs.
"Someone's excited!" Mitch laughed.
"Yeah I am! Tomorrow's Christmas!" Scott nearly shouted.
"Yeah, babe, tomarrow." Mitch said, ruffling his boyfriend's blonde hair. "Hey, I'm gonna bake cookies or some kind of sh-t like that, you find something to do, okay, baby?"
"Okay." Scott said, running back upstairs.
He grabbed Mitch's presents out of his closet, grabbing wrapping paper, scissors, and tape.
"How do I do this?" He asked himself. "I don't even f--king know!"
Scott grabbed his phone, typing in 'how to wrap a present' He watched the video, copying what the girl did.
Scott looked at his little arts and crafts project. 'It looks like I ran this over with my car.' He thought. "Okay, let's try this again.
He tried again, and five attempts later, he had a perfectly wrapped gift. "Finally!"
"What is it?" Mitch asked, coming in Scott's room.
"HEY!" Scott shouted, putting his hand over Mitch's eyes. "No peeking! It isn't Christmad yet!"
Mitch giggled. "C'mon, just a little peek?"
"Nope, not happening, honey." Scott laughed. "Hey, I smell your cookies!"
Mitch grinned. "Yep!"
"Smells good!"
"Thanks, babe." Mitch said, then they heard the sound of something shattering.
"Oh sh-t!" They shouted, running downstairs.
"Wyatt! Don't eat that!" Scott yelled, grabbing their cat.
"Oh f--k." Mitch said. "The lights exploded."
"Whelp, road trip!" Scott said.
"We can't leave! I have stuff in the oven!" Mitch exclaimed.
"Fine, you stay here, I'll get more lights." Scott said. "Time me."
"No! Don't speed!" Mitch laughed, his boyfriend running outside.
Mitch stood in the kitchen, trying to make a cookie look like an ornament.
He suddenly felt two arms around his waist, a pair of lips on the back of his neck.
"Hi, Scotty!" Mitch said. "You're home soon!" He felt Scott smile, as his boyfriend nuzzled his face into Mitch's neck.
"The line was quick." Scott said.
"That's good, do you want a cookie?" Mitch asked.
Scott's head shot up. "Yeah!"
Mitch laughed, putting the cookie in his boyfriend's mouth.
"Yum!" Scott said. "You're amazing in the kitchen!"
Mitch smiled. "Thanks, babe."
"Wanna help me redecorate the tree?" Scott asked.
"Sure! I got nothin else to do!" Mitch said, playing his Christmas playlist.
Scott put Mitch on his shoulders while they decorated their Christmas tree again.
"Baby? Where do we want this?" Mitch asked, putting the music note ornament in front of his boyfriend's eyes.
"Anywhere you want, Mitchy." Scott replied.
"Okay." Mitch said. "Star!"
Scott bent down, grabbing the star, but in the process making Mitch fall off his shoulders.
"Ow!" Mitch laughed, laying on the couch. "You put the star on, babe, I don't care."
"Okay." Scott said, jumping, the star fitting on the top perfectly. "This better be the last damn time we have to do this."
"It probably will, don't worry." Mitch said, checking his phone. "Hey, it's eleven."
"How the hell is it eleven?" Scott asked.
Mitch shrugged. "I don't know, but tomorrow's Christmas."
"K, to bed we go."
*time skip to Christmas morning*
Scott woke up, feeling like a little kid again. "Mitchy! Mitchy! Wake up!"
Mitch groaned. "What?"
"It's Christmas! Get outta bed!" Scott exclaimed.
Mitch sat up, running his fingers through his hair, yawning. "Okay, let's go!"
Scott picked his boyfriend up, carrying him downstairs.
"Scott Richard Hoying! Put me down!" Mitch laughed.
Scott put his boyfriend down, kissing him. "Merry Christmas, babygirl."
"Merry Christmas, babe." Mitch said. "Hand me a present please!"
Scott smiled, handing Mitch one of his not-so-well wrapped gifts.
A while later, they had unwrapped each other's gifts, Wyatt was playing with all of the crumpled up paper, and Scott and Mitch were curled up on the couch together.
"Good Christmas?" Mitch asked.
"It's always a good Christmas when we're together." Scott replied.
"Ugh, babe! Don't turn this into a sappy Christmas song!" Mitch laughed.
"Fine, but I'm glad you're here." Scott said.
"I'm glad you're here too, Merry Christmas, babe."
