Candy Shop
(A/N, I have such a freaking sweet tooth! I hope you like this, even if it sucks🍭)
Scott grinned as a woman and her two kids walked out of his store. "Come back soon!" He called, checking his watch. "Ten minutes till closing."
He started tidying things up, starting to get all of the candy put away.
"Um, excuse me?" A high pitched voice asked.
"Yes? What can I do for you?" Scott asked, turning around.
"Oh, are you closing up?" A boy with brown hair swooped over his eye asked.
"Yeah, but I always go overtime for late candy shoppers." Scott said, winking at the guy in front of him. "I'm Scott, welcome to my store!"
"I'm Mitch! You own this place?"
"Yeah, pretty great, huh?" Scott said, grinning. "Did you need something?"
"Oh yeah, um, I just wanted to grab some candy." Mitch said. "I have a hella bad sweet tooth."
"Same!" Scott laughed, as he turned the Open sign around so everyone knew that the store was closed. "Do you have anything you want in mind?"
Mitch shook his head. "I've never been here, so I have no clue what to get."
Scott took Mitch's hand. "Well lemme show you!"
"Oh my gosh, Scott, no, you need to close up!" Mitch said.
"Nah, you're good." Scott said. "I do this all the time with indecisive kids."
Mitch laughed.
"You're laugh is cute, do you like sour or sweet stuff?" Scott said.
"Both, but right now I want sour." Mitch replied.
"On a scale of eh to lemon face, how much sour?" Scott asked.
"How bad is lemon face?" Mitch asked, smiling.
Scott puckered his lips, squeezing his eyes shut (A/N, look up sour lemon face to know what this looks like)
Mitch laughed again. "Like that."
Scott laughed also, hoping over the counter. "I have some really sour candy right here." He put a large jar of green candies on the counter. "Wait, you shouldn't buy these!"
"Why not?" Mitch asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Cause that pretty face of yours is gonna get twisted up by these!" Scott said, winking at Mitch.
Mitch blushed. "Oh my gosh, I'll try one!"
Scott laughed, handing the boy a candy.
Mitch unwrapped it, putting it in his mouth. "Oh my gosh! So sour!!!"
Scott laughed even harder, as Mitch spit it back in the wrapper. "Too sour?"
The brunette nodded.
"K, um, do you want chocolate?"
Mitch perked up. "Yeah!"
Scott walked to one side of the store, then whirled around, surprising Mitch. "Are you just trying to try all my candy?"
Mitch giggled. "Maybeee."
Scott smiled, turning back around. "Damnit, why'd I put them all the way up there?"
"Here, lemme get on your back." Mitch said.
Scott grinned, bending down.
Mitch got on his back, letting out a small scream as Scott stood back up.
"Which box?" He asked.
"The brown and gold one!" Scott called up.
"I got it!" Mitch called, as he slid off the blonde's back.
"Good! You'll love these!" Scott said, taking a piece of chocolate out of the box. "Try it!"
Mitch put the candy in his mouth. "Ohmygosh, this is amazing!"
Scott smiled. "Do you want a box?"
Mitch nodded. "This is amazing!"
"I'll wrap these up for you, hold on." Scott said, walking behind the counter. "Look at anything you want!"
"Thanks!" Mitch said, looking through lollipops. "Which one is the best?"
"The strawberry raspberry!" Scott called over his shoulder.
"Can I buy this one?"
Scott smiled. "Of course, Mitch! It's forty five cents." He heard a clink of coins, then plastic wrap.
"Here're your chocolates." Scott said, turning around.
Mitch licked his lollipop, his eyes sparkling. "Thanks! How much?"
"Um, those are eight dollars." Scott said.
Mitch pulled out his wallet. "Here's a five, and um, here're three ones."
"Thanks for coming by!" Scott said, opening the door for the boy.
Mitch smiled, taking the lollipop out of his mouth. He gave Scott a kiss on the lips. "See you soon."
Scott stood there in shock, as Mitch started walking away. "MITCH! WAIT UP!"
He turned back around. "Yes?"
"Do you wanna go out sometime?"
"If it involves candy, then yes."
Scott grinned, kissing Mitch. "You taste like sugar."
"That's cause I'm sweet." Mitch said.
