Chapter 3

Andy was now at the very top of the hill, proud and forgotten about the paper plane. She could see almost all of the neighbourhood from the top of the hill that the castle stood high on.
That paper plane can wait. She thought again. Now I'm up here, I want to have a look around.
She turned around and looked again at another big menacing gate with two gargoyle-looking statues glowering beside it. Walking up to the gate Andy whispered at the gargoyle on the left.
"Very frightening, eh?" She smiled and pushed open the gate with all of her strength.
Andy's eyes widened as she saw what was contained inside. A garden of hedges carved into unbelievable shapes; a girl dancing, a dog, even a reindeer. But in the very centre was what slightly frightened Andy. A giant bush shaped like a hand stood in the middle of a circle of stones up against the wall of the castle.
I hope that's not what I think it means. Andy thought to herself. If it is, I could get in serious trouble.
She wandered around the marvellous garden, her head held high looking at the hedges with wonder. She eventually came to a big wooden door with a knocker on the front. She was about to knock it when she heard something move behind her.
Andy turned around slowly and suspiciously.
"Who's there?" She called, trying not to let her voice shake.
The only reply she got was the wind blowing her long black hair into her face. "Come out!" Her voice raised in tone slightly.
Whoever was hiding in the bushes was either very frightened or trying to sneak up on her. Andy was also very frightened, but knew that if she looked like it, it would be a disadvantage.
Finally, she saw the shadow of a figure, and instinctively took a step back, ready to run for it if this guy showed any threat.

"Don't go," He said softly.
