Epilogue
"Listen, I love you and that doesn't change anything that I'm about to say but I fucking hate you too. I don't know what the HELL you were thinking and I don't have enough words to express your stupidity nor do I have the willpower to argue with you because frankly, what the hell? You're telling me I have to get two weeks off work─ when I think I have a surgery to handle─ to take a little leisure trip with your annoying ass? For what?"
Eita was not supposed to feel a knot in his stomach at hearing the voice Kenjirou used against him but he did. He did because how wouldn't he when Kenjirou was straddling him while still in his scrubs and to-home Doctor coat? Normally, Kenjirou was extra strict on his hygiene and getting showered once more─ he took one at the hospital before leaving─ to rid of any last germs before letting Eita have his way with him but that day, Eita couldn't wait and he was in desperation to have all of Kenjirou's attention.
"It isn't as bad as it sounds," Eita promised, hands gripping his boyfriend's waist tightly out of reassurance and security that he wouldn't run away.
"Oh yeah? You get five seconds."
Kenjirou stared into his eyes, full seriousness in them which─ if it were someone else, Eita would've smugly stared at and taken his time answering but it was his small boyfriend and that was worse than facing his very own boss. It was serious.
"A trip to Mexico and I got fake but valid passports so your identity can't be traced by the Cartel and you don't have to go in the Yakuza's plane?" Eita tried, hope in his eyes.
"Oh? Really now? And you think that was a good idea?" Kenjirou asked, staring into the eyes he never stopped loving. He could see his boyfriend searching his mind for an answer, for something to convince him, tell him it'd be fun but he interrupted before he even managed to formulate an answer. "When do we leave? You should've said sooner. I needa pack."
That was all it took for an excited kiss to land against Kenjirou's mouth and preparations to ensure. They had been dating for three years by then and time wasn't going any slower. Not to mention they never went anywhere besides their dates every other day─ Eita was so insistent on spoiling him, it was almost unbearing to watch the money go all towards him. The dates never stopped but after spending so much, Kenjirou managed to get Eita to donate a sum to different organizations for those in need instead of blowing it on the twelfth limited watch or fifteenth diamond engraved ring.
He could do with a nice evening or an at-home date where they spend time in bed. So now that they were on their way back to the country of confusing memories, Kenjirou was more than excited to go with his boyfriend.
Their fakes worked, which made Eita smile smugly, and Kenjirou look at him exasperatedly, but that wasn't the focus when they had over thirty hours of travel.
"Kenjirou! I MISSED YOU!"
That was the first thing he heard once he got out of security at the airport.
"¡Por Dios, Magui! I just got here!"
"So?! And here's Mr boyfriend!"
Eita saluted at her in greeting, chatter surrounding them as they headed to Magui's house where they'd be staying upon her hospitality. It'd be delightful and as they spent their days adventuring and eating Magui's 'shitty Tres Leches,' as Kenjirou liked calling it, the copper-haired couldn't help but feel as if those days were the best he'd ever have in his life.
"You're a hard person to get close to and an even harder one to love. I hope you find someone that will love you unconditionally and try to learn you," Kenjirou's mother had once said, the words ringing in his mind as he laughed loudly at Eita making a fool of himself in front of him and Magui.
He was content just watching his love clown around, glimmers in their eyes under the dim living room lights, faces tinted pink with alcohol but not drunk or tipsy, simply hued and giddy.
With the utmost love in his heart, the comfort of family and friends, Kenjirou knew he found that person his Mother always hoped he'd have.
Semi Eita came to him like sun on a rainy day, chasing away his tough times─ although bringing some as well but that could hardly matter three years later─ and loved him unconditionally.
The never-ceasing fire of adoration and love coursed through his veins and arteries as if they were his blood and feeling that made him know full well that whatever Semi Eita gave him was more than Scintillating.
