Court of the Blues
A Blue banged a gravel. "The Court of Blues is now in session."
Whispers filled the air.
A single Blue looked around him... How had he ended up here?
"Today's case is against the Blue in the dock." The Judge said.
The court scribe, Blue, nods from where he kept track of everything.
"This Blue has committed one of the most hideous crimes... He banned someone from the yearly Christmas party."
Shocked gasps filled the air.
"I do not know if it was from ignorance, or from the lies that he was told by a Fell that has been punished with the Void."
The gathered Blues seemed to shift further away from the new Blue.
"Your Honour, may we have more details?" A Blue that was wearing a Phoenix Wright cosplay asked the Judge.
"The accused banned the true Original Sci Sans, from his Multiverse, from the Christmas party, and the invitations for that Sans were sent to a Copy that pretended to be the Original."
"Wait.. he's a Blue.. he should known which Sci was the real one. Are we sure that he's a true Blue?" Another Blue asked another Blue.
"That's the objective of this trial, to establish if the accused is a true Blue."
"Oh... now, isn't that a tricky thought, this one hasn't even made gestures of friendship to their Error.." Fate Blue said, he was not very amused.
The Blue in the dock tilted his head. What were they talking about?
"Your Honour, how do we know that this Blue was the one that made gestures of friendship to his Error?!" Phoenix Blue asked. "It could have been a Copy that became Error's friend!"
"Nope... I'm a Fate, I have all of the stories. After all, this one is just a replacement.." Blue Fate said. "You're a copy.. You're right, the real Blue of this Multiverse is Bluerror."
"Then, what happened to Bluerror?" Edgeworth Blue asked the Judge.
"He's doing what all glitched Blues do, he's protecting Core's little haven where his brother is..." Blue Fate explained.
"But... Fell said that I was the real Blue..." The Blue in the dock whimpered. "He said that the Original was destroyed by Error."
"If the real Blue was gone, you wouldn't exist." A female Blue said, as she pushed her ecto hair back, her arms were covered in markings that reminded others of Ink's markings.
"You can't even break the 4th wall." A Blue in the shadows continued.
"Balance is right." The Judge said. "If the real Blue from your Multiverse was gone.. You wouldn't exist... Tell me, how many Resets have you been through, before you met Fell?"
"I had my First Reset, after I met him..." The Blue in the Dock mumbled. "He said that I would be safe from Error's wrath if I didn't act like the Original Blue..."
"Fakers, and more fakers.." The shadowy Blue sans sighed.
"Objection! Your Honour, it's clear that the Fell used this Blue's naivety, and his inexperience, against him." Phoenix Blue said.
"He clearly needs a helping hand, and if no one protests, I can take him under my protection." Another Blue said, from the back, this one had a hammer that glimmered with power.
A Blue wearing a black robe frowned. "I don't have any protests. But I do ask that we check all of his copies, just in case...."
"I can do that, there isn't a lot that I can do in my Multiverse, until my Codes finish the first wave of fixing what the last Fate did..." Blue Fate offered.
"It is clear that this Blue needs a mentor." Edgeworth Blue said. "He has the potential to be a great Blue... He just needs to be taught how to be a good Blue."
"I agree with Rune." Balance said. "His copies need to be checked."
"Blue Fate, are you up for this, I'll help you, while I help this Blue." Hammer Blue asked him.
"It's fine." Fate Blue responded.
"Then let us pass Judgement on this Blue." The Judge Blue said. "The accused is sentenced to being mentored by Hammer Blue, and until he has proven that he is ready to take the responsibilities, and the power, of a Blue, he is forbidden to use the 'Blue' name."
Rune winced a little at that. It was harsh, but it was fair.
"Then... he must choose a name to use, until he can prove himself, to be worthy of using the name of Blue." Blackout whispered, from his shadows.
The Underswap Sans in the dock nodded his head. "I want to use 'Empty', as my name... My head was filled with lies, and I used them as building blocks, to create how I am, but without those lies... My head is empty..."
"Are you sure? You're stuck with it, until Hammer says that you can go home." Blackout asked him.
Empty nodded his head. "I'll choose a better name, when I know who I am."
"You are brave, you'll need that once you go home again." The scribe, Blue, quietly said, and nearby, at his feet, sat a familiar paintbrush.
Rune nodded his head.
"I know... I just can't believe how quickly I fell for his lies... I didn't even know that Sci was a copy! Fell told me that he was the Original Sci, and since he was the one that introduced me to the Multiverse..."
"Are you ready Empty, I think that you're going to like my Dream and Shell." Hammer Blue said, walking towards him.
Empty nodded his head. "But I have a request, can someone keep an eye on my Papy..."
"Don't worry about it, I'll be around.." Fate Blue reminded him.
"We're Blues..." Balance smiled at him. "And we look after our brothers.... We can look after yours too."
"And we look after our new little brothers." Ink Blue, the scribe, smiled.
Empty smiled at them. "Thank you... I'll earn that name..."
"Let's go." Hammer said, holding out a hand, as a portal appeared, shimmering, like a rainbow, and on the other side, a Dream and Ink peered through it, with a curious look on their faces.
Empty followed him.
