Praying and always calling out to Allah does not mean that we won't ever experience pain or will be able to avoid it or will become strong enough to never feel it, but having Allah and constantly calling out to him makes that pain much, much more bearable and over time, you watch yourself grow to become that much stronger, that much more patient.
