Who wants beta readers?

Hello folks!

Happy Mother's Day. Don't forget to give your mom a call.

Today, I'd like to feel out interest in exchanging beta reads.

One of the problems I'm finding right now with the group is that we've all had the first few chapters of our stories critiqued, but when it comes time to move to the next chapters, it's difficult because some people have read the first chapters, but many new members have not.

SO, I think we're ready to take this group to the next level.

I am getting ready to query the first book in my series.... Who else is ready for a beta read?

To be clear, a beta reader is someone who quickly (within a few weeks) reads your completed manuscript and gives feedback about it's readiness for publication. A beta reader points out things your publisher or agent might find unappealing, and hopefully gives insight into how you can edit your manuscript so it meets publishers/industry expectations.

If you are self publishing then you would want a beta reader to point out how you can optimize your MS for the self pub market.

To be absolutely clear, your manuscript must be complete and ready for publishing. That means no grammar errors. A beta reader is not an editor.

If you are ready for a beta reader, please leave a comment below.

List the title, how many words, subgenre, any graphic or disturbing violence? And one sentence synopsis. I'm serious about one sentence. Don't copy and paste your blurb because we can go read that later. Just one sentence synopsis. If you're actually ready for publishing you should have this "hook" line already.
