Into the Abyss: Prompt 1
All I remembered was crashing. The screeching of alarms, the tearing of metal...and then darkness.
I staggered to my feet, not sure if I was standing on the floor or the ceiling of my spaceship. Everything was dark and I tapped my bracelet frantically until it began glowing strongly, illuminating the wreckage around me.
I was in the back of the spaceship. I had no idea how I had been thrown so far without being killed, but I couldn't worry about that right now.
Where am I?
I moved to the front of the spaceship and found that I had nose-dived into the ground of this planet, meaning that my windshield was coated in grime, not allowing any natural light through. I was about to activate the windshield cleaners when a slow, subtle scraping came at the glass.
I froze, listening closely.
It happened again, this time a little louder. It sounded like something was dragging their claws over the surface. Then it fell away again.
I tried desperately to remember what I had been doing before the crash. What had gone wrong with my spaceship? Where was I in the universe? Why here?
As if it could read my mind, a deep, thundering voice filled my spaceship: "I called you. You came."
"Who are you?" I called out, trying to keep my voice from shaking.
A low, throaty chuckle was my only answer.
Then, the glass shattered inwards and a huge paw closed around my torso, yanking me through the jagged hole and tossing me roughly onto the ground below.
"I'm hungry," the voice said, somehow even more menacing in the open air, and a terrible, fire-like pain laced through my torso.
