Chapter 2

(Christine's POV)

The unknown boy carried me into the nurse' office and set me onto a small chair in the waiting room. He then knocked onto the nurse' door and went in.

I spent my time in the waiting room inspecting all the changes that the new year has brought. The main new feature of it were the new seats, which were replaced from the old white ones to small cubic orange chairs covered with orange and lime leather. It looked a little like the doctor's office from when I was smaller.

The boy came back into the waiting room and picked me back up.
"They will take you in right away." He said as we neared the door. When we came in, he laid me onto a white foil covered bed and laid my papers and bag next to me.

"I have to go to the entrence ceremony now, but I hope we will meet again." He said as he walked towards the door, taking one last glimpse at me. "Goodbye"

"Wait! What is your-" I didn't get to finish my question, because he was gone.

"Well, well. Who do we have here today?" Said a bit squeeky female voice from my left.
The school nurse entered the room and I must say that she looked a lot different like I remembered her from the last time I was in her office.
She had shoulder long pinkish hair put into a high ponytail with two little strands hanging by her ears. She was wearing a white tube dress with black buttons going up it and a pair of medical gloves were peeking from her pocket.

"Oh, Miss Daaé!" The nurse enthusiasticly said. "We didn't have you here for quite some time! So, what's it today?"
The pink-haired nurse grinned, popping one of the rubber gloves onto her hand with long fake ombré nails.
"Does it have to do something with that guy in the mask that brought you in?"
A giant triumphant grin was spread across her lips and she was clearly telling me that she guessed.

"It is not what you think! I accidentally bumped into him on the school courtyard and he was just worried that I got hurt!"
I kinda shouted at her.

Two girls suddenly broke into the office. They looked terrified and immediately started talking to the nurse.
"Miss, one of our friends got injured and she needs help."
The shorter one told her panicked.
"Okay." The nurse said popping the other glove onto her hand.
"Christine, you can go to the room next door and my assistant will examine you." She said, pointing her finger to the nearest door.

I slowly picked up my things and went into the room next door.
Inside, there was sitting a short girl in a outfit looking a lot like the one the nurse wore.
"Oh." She lifted her head from the newspaper that she was dug in.
"You must be Christine Daaé. My boss told me a lot about you."
"

And what did she tell you about me?" I nervously asked.
"She just told me that you come here a lot." Said the assistant.

"By the way, my name is Mackayla." Said the black-haired girl. "I am nineteen and I just dropped outta collage and got this job a few days ago."
"Nice to meet you, Mackayla." I smiled and shook hands with her.

"Now, I gotta examine you if you are okay." She said, pulling a pair of teal rubber gloves on.
She quickly was over and let me go to the ceremony, which was held at the gym.

When I got there, the ceremony was halfway through already and I quickly found my friend Meg in the crowd.
I lightly tapped her shoulder and she turned her head to me, a smile instantly coming to her face.

"Chrissy! You are finally here!"
She squeeled and hugged me. "How were you through the summer?"

"Nothing really. I helped paint the walls in our house and I redecorated my room." I confessed.

"Well, you must have had quite a good summer. So, way about the clubs you will go to?"
She kept asking me.

"I plan on joining the drama club. I really wanted to get into it the last year, but I didn't get to get a form."
"You know what?" Meg asked me quietly. "As soon as this ceremony ends, we will run into the school building and grab the enrollment forms into the clubs!"

The ceremony ended soon and I practically ran to the drama club room and snached a paper from the corkboard outside the drama club room.
Another hand snached the next form right after me and I looked at the person who got the next paper.

It was him. The boy who I bumped into in the morning.

"Good afternoon, Miss." He greeted me with a smile.

"H-Hi..." I stuttered.

"I am sorry that I hurt you in the morning." He said, his honey eyes reflecting true honesty.

"No it was my fault. I was the one who bumped into you." I said, bulshing a bit.
"And I didn't even get to introduce myself. My name is Christine Daaé"

"Christine..." The strange boy whispered.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Erik Destler." He told me.
I have to say the name fit him.

"It is nice to know your name, Erik.
I smiled and we shook hands.
