I crawled out of my bed and avoided the sleeping baike on the floor. I peeked out my door into the main room and saw blood red eyes slowly approaching me. I fell onto my but and scooted backwards, I bumped into baike. I stopped moving and pulled my knees to my chest. I heard someone say my name but I was covering my head with my hands.

"Faith!" someone said,shaking me.

"no, no, no!" i muttered, "don't hurt me!" he shook me.

"Faith, i wont hurt you! its me, baike!"

i looked up and felt tears streaming down my cheeks. hanna, emma, and landon were in the doorway, looking at me in worry. i wiped my tears away and stood up, trying to keep my nreathing calm and not staggery. i went over to my bed and lid down, facing the wall. i felt them sit on the bed because i had to try to stay facing the wall and not to roll over. someone started petting my hair and i let out a small growl, warning them.

"faith, whats wrong?" hanna asked.

"I'm fine, nothing's wrong," i stated.

"Faith, why were you on the floor in a bubble?" emma asked.

"i said I'm fine!" i rose my voice.

"Faith, are you sure your fine? you just yelled at emma and your not looking at us," landon said, even he was worried.

"I'm going to take a walk," i said, sitting up.

i pushed them out of my way as I left the room. i sat on the couch and put on my converse and tied them. i was still in my short shorts and red tank top. i walked to the door and left the dorm room.  i walked down the hall to the front door, i slipped through and started walking to the school. it was almost winter and freezing cold, i didn't want to use my fire in case something was out here, watching me. i started to get really cold and crossed my arms, hiding my hands.

"Faith!" i heard baike say from behind me.

i turned around and saw him running to me. he had a hoodie in his hands that looked like my favorite black sweatshirt with the skull on it, it was the one my dad gave to me. it too cold to just stand there so i sat down in the grass that was behind me. baike reached me and gave me my sweatshirt. i slipped it on and refrained to look at him.

"faith what's wrong?" he asked, i could tell he was worried.

"everything's fine, baike," i said, "i just had a nightmare. it was like at was a memory of something bad."

"what was it about?"

"it was about when i was like 7 and almost died. a blonde boy saved me after getting hurt and we were chased by monsters with razor sharp fangs and blood red eyes."

"what?"

"when i was little, my mom told me stories about vampires. all of them involve a small girl killing them off after she got this monster-killing-gun thing, but she lost her loved ones when she used the gun and she was killed.." tears started to fall down my cheek, "the dream i had felt so real, like it had happened before."

"its ok, faith, its ok. lets go back to the dorm."

"ok, ill follow you," i said, getting up.

"wait, you hear that?" Baike said, standing up to look around.

i looked behind me and saw the red eyes from in the dorm room. they were closing in on us and when they were close enough i could see the face that belonged to the red eyes. it grabbed me by the throat and held me up, its fangs showing. it pushed me into a wall, inching closer to my exposed neck. it bit my neck and i let out a silent scream, my eyes widened from the pain. i grew limp and it continued feeding from me. someone ripped the creature from me, my vision was to blurry to see who had killed the monster. i let my eyes close.

Baike's POV

I had killed the vampire who was feeding off of Faith, her neck was bleeding and she was unconscious. i picked her up and ran back to the dorm room, i used my vampyric speed to get there in a flash. when i walked into the main room, hanna and emma were on the couch and landon was in the kitchen, they all stopped talking looked at me.

"what happened!" emma exclaimed, looking at faith's neck.

"vampires," i stated, "luckily there was only one but it fed off of her."

"is she going to turn? like you did?" hanna asked.

"i doubt she'll turn, it wasn't that shallow of a bite."

"what exactly do you mean by 'wasn't that shallow of a bite'?" landon asked.

"the vampire just wanted her blood, not to make her its slave, so it had to drive its fangs deep into her neck." i explained.

"is she going to be ok?" emma asked.

"when she wakes up, ill have her drink some of my blood to keep her calm, to heal her wound, and to replace her missing blood." i said. vampire blood has healing abilities but I'm half vampire so itll do more than heal her or turn her, itll put her to sleep until the next day and keep her calm.

Faith' POV

i had woken up on my bed, my neck hurt a whole lot, and it was day out. i stood up and felt dizzy so i sat back down. i felt my neck and instead of flesh i felt a bandage. baike came in and sat down next to me.

"you ok?" he asked.

"i don't know. what happened?" i asked.

"err..."

"Baike, what happened?"

"you were bitten by a vampire and i killed it, then i brought you back here and hanna and emma bandaged up your neck and i had put you in your bed," he explained.

hanna, emma, and landon came in and saw me up. they had worried faces and that made me a little scared.

baike bit his wrist and made it bleed, he then put it to my mouth, "faith, you need to swallow some of my blood to help heal you," he said.

i grabbed his arm with my hands and tried to pry his wrist away from my mouth but he had some kind of inhuman strength to stop me from moving it away. i tried to lean away from it but his other hand was on the back of my head, preventing me from moving. i gave in and started drinking his blood. it had a weird matalic taste and i felt numb. i let go of me and i fell asleep on the bed.
