Love was a strong word, Seto knew that. The brunet was never good with words. He was always short-tempered, angry, but loving.
It was Friday, two weeks since he had started the "School of Arts" mission that was assigned to him by the Headmaster—his father—and he had already dug himself into a deep hole of conflicts that seemed to be never ending. He managed to endure all those conflicts, not bother to find any solutions. But, here he stood, getting ready to make a temporary leave to find his older brother—a stranger with a face like his. He was such an idiot for accepting this mission in the first place.
He was going to leave the School of Creation with Isaac, Kyle, Sub, and Ethan because of a stupid theory that his brother was "alive." They would be gone for who knows how long. Seto was never one for emotion, but he found himself dreading the idea of leaving the School of Creation. To him, it was just a school, but it also meant he had to leave Brice.
God—Brice was just a whole other story.
Again, Seto didn't precisely "love" Brice. At times, he wanted to shove Brice face first into a well that was filled with piranhas, but most of the time he wanted to spend time with Brice and just, well, just be with him in the sense of "being together." It was stupid, really, Sorcerers usually married for advantage rather than "love" itself. To think that his mother came to love a man that she was forced to marry, a ruthless man and a betrayer.
"Seto, you've been acting weird," Brice said, turning towards the brunet. The two sat together side by side on a hillside that overlooked the school, the wind was blowing a bit harshly but didn't knock the duo over. Seto planned to leave tonight and make the long journey that had no promising ending.
"There's so much I want to tell you, but I can't tell you, it will change your views about me," Seto confessed, wiping his eyes with his purple sleeve. He tried his best to stay calm, the stoic and collected person that he always was. There would be no hope in the end.
"There's nothing you could say that will change how I view you," Brice replied, a convincing tone locked in his voice. His eyes glistened, his expression was filled with care. "I want you to tell me everything that's on your mind, there's no point of bottling it up. You know this, and you know that you can definitely trust me."
"I just—" Seto stopped, holding his breath, "it's fucking complicated, okay? I'm not trying to be rude it's just weird."
Brice blinked in disbelief, "You can curse?"
"Yes Sherlock, I can." Seto snickered.
"Besides the point, I just want you to tell me everything, or as much as you possibly can. I don't like to see you upset, I want to see you happy and carefree." Brice said sternly as he gazed into Seto's eyes. The decaying leaves brushed past the two and onto the ground below the hillside.
"I'm leaving, and no I'm not leaving right now. I'm leaving the School of Creation," Seto murmured, looking down towards the grass. He began to pick at it, trying to fill in the silence.
"Leaving? Where?" Brice questioned, eyes widened and a frown curved on his lips.
"I'm leaving because..." Seto started, biting his bottom lip, "it'll benefit you." He didn't know how else to state it.
"Benefit?" The blond asked, his eyebrows furrowed and his nose a bit scrunched. "Without you I don't benefit from anything, I feel like I'm nothing without you, Seto."
Seto felt the tears brimming on the corners of his eyes. His pale nose tinted a light shade of red as the sun began to set. It was a beautiful yet saddening sight. He stirred up his courage, took a deep breath, then continued.
"I have so much I want to tell you Brice but I can't. I physically and mentally cannot tell you because it'll hurt you and I don't want to hurt you. We're from two different worlds, Brice, and I can't let you worry about things you don't need to worry about. I really want to tell you Brice, I really fucking want to tell you, but it's so fucking complicated and it—"
Silence.
Blissful silence.
Seto was cut off by the blond—the Prince of fucking Hybrids, planting his lips against his own. The brunet couldn't help but melt into it, his heart pounding out of his chest and the butterflies in his stomach violently flapping their wings. Brice's lips tasted like bitter coffee and sweet vanilla, it was satisfying to say the least. But, the thought just sank into his head.
The Prince of Sorcerers was kissing the Prince of Hybrids. And though each "species" being sworn enemies, the two "representatives" of each supposed "species" were kissing—and liking it.
The two eventually pulled away, Brice's lips curved into a smile and Seto's face burning bright red. The sky was tinted a light color of pink with gray clouds scattered across the sky. The two boys just sat there, quiet, awkward, and fuming with joy.
"You really looked cute when you're flushed like that." Brice was the first to speak as he cupped his hand against Seto's face. The brunet couldn't help but relax, a soft smile planted on his face.
"Brice, I just—"
"Look, that happened, there are no boundaries between us now. You can tell me Seto, you can tell me anything and everything. I'll kiss you again just to prove my point."
"Are y-you sure you won't be angry?" Seto stammered, afraid of what Brice's reaction would be.
"I'm sure," Brice nodded. "I wouldn't forgive myself if I got angry at you."
Seto held his breath as he let the tears flow down his face like a waterfall, "I'm the Prince of Sorcerers and I was sent here under the false alias of Seto Kaji b-because I was suppose to learn about Hybrids and their future generation. My piece of shit father wanted me to do this, despite it failing with my older brother who died years ago. Fucking hell—I just hate this emotion ordeal and I fucking hate just sitting here in front of you because it pains me so much that I've lied to you so much. I love you so much Brice and it physically pains me how much I love you and I just can't handle it—"
Brice pulled the brunet into a hug, patting his back and humming softly to him. The blond wasn't shocked, he expected something like this to happen. Yet, Seto being a Prince? Destiny had weird strings, ties perhaps, but Brice never imagined Seto being, practically, the same rank as Brice. It would explain his power and his outer appearance in the most part. He was just glad that he knew, and had proper confirmation, of all the theories that was in his head. He smiled, but then frowned.
"Why are you leaving, though?" Brice continued to question. Seto rested his chin on Brice's shoulder, sniffling.
"M-My brother—he's alive. I don't know how, and I don't know why, he just is. I need to go find him, I feel like it's my duty to. He's been gone all these years and he deserves to come back. He's probably just some lost soul who—"
"I'll help you find your brother," Brice interrupted, pulling away from the hug. Seto's eyes lit up, the shine in his eyes warming his heart. God, how much he loved this Sorcerer was unbelievable.
"R-Really?" Seto beamed, once more wiping away his tears away from his own eyes.
"Really." Brice confirmed, ruffling Seto's hair. "After all, I need to be there in case someone gets a funny idea to mess with you."
Seto giggled, "Thank you, Brice."
"It's no problem Seto," Brice smiled.
The two sat in silence, enjoying each other's company. Seto's mind was still wrapped around what happened—the kiss. It was strange, it still left him shaking and having those feelings of butterflies still in his stomach, but he loved it so much. He didn't want that interaction, that kiss, to end. He wanted to feel Brice's lips against his own again, he loves Brice so much that it physically pains him. He was right, there would be no boundaries between them, it was just truth.
It was weird. Emotions to Sorcerers were always weird, especially for the Prince of Sorcerers.
Instead of worrying about his supposed "alive" brother, he worried about Brice, the kiss. Would that mean that they would both would be in a relationship? Were they, whatever Hybrids had called it, boyfriends? How long would this relationship last before some kind of argument would happen? Will Brice stay until the end? Will Seto stay until the end?
"Does—does this mean we're a 'thing' now?" Seto asked, breaking the silence. He felt like an awkward idiot, but he was interested about Brice's response.
"I mean, if you'd want us to be a 'thing,' then sure." Brice nodded, rubbing the back of his neck while a cheeky smile was planted on his face.
"So, we're a thing?" Seto continued to question. He really wanted "in depth" confirmation about it.
"Yeah," Brice nodded, "I mean, if you want me to properly ask then..."
The blond stood up, the wind picking up a bit and the autumn leaves swirling around them. Brice awkwardly bent down and picked up a dandelion, then handed it to the ever-so-giddy brunet.
"Seto, this is really cliché, but I love you so much, will you be my boyfriend—or whatever you call someone you love?" Brice asked, his face tinted red and a smile plastered on his face.
"Of course—of course I will Brice."

Kyle narrowed his eyes, drawing out a king of hearts card and slamming it on the table. Tyler rolled his eyes, "This is a game of slapjack, not 'I'm Gonna Fucking Act Dramatic At Every Card I Put' game."
"What are you, the sass king?" Kyle rolled his eyes.
"Sass queen." Tyler corrected.
"Well excuse me your highness. Would you like me to give you a manicure while you're at it?" Kyle sneered while Tyler placed down an ace of clubs.
"Moving on, you're leaving today right?" Tyler asked, a bit saddened.
"Yeah, you can come too if you want. I'll just stuff you under my shirt or some shit, they're too dumb to realize I'm actually there," Kyle chuckled.
"Sweet. How's the SetoSolace thing going?" Tyler put down a jack of diamonds, then proceed to nearly break the table by slamming his hand onto the jack whilst yelling, "SLAPJACK."
"You piece of shit that's no fair," Kyle groaned, rolling his eyes, "and I'm pretty sure Seto will end up liking Brice in one way or another."
Tyler grinned as he shoved the stack of cards towards Kyle's direction. "So you're letting me come with you to find this Jason guy, right?"
"Of course, you're my partner in crime, I can't ever leave you behind." Kyle beamed.
"Oh Romeo, you're rhyming. No homeo."
"Oh bromeo, you're the best homeo in this wholeo of lifeo I've ever hadeo."
