"So, I heard there will be two new students coming to school today." A male with sunglasses said.
"Really, who?" A blond replied, leaning against a wall.
"Two cousins that go by the last name of Kaji."

Seto sighed as he shifted in bed, pulling his purple blanket over his head. It was around six in the morning, the sun had begun to slowly rise over the horizon which had declared dawn, as well as the start of a new day. Seto, though being the neat and orderly person he was, decided to stay in bed for the extra minute or two, despite orders to get up. He was, after all, exhausted by the previous day and did not look foreword to what would occur later on. The day before seemed to have stretched longer than he could anticipate, and he wanted to catch up on relaxation.
At what time did he sleep last night? Three in the morning of course!
It was all due to the fact that...
1) Seto spent almost all night packing and repacking items since he was quite stressed out about the mission.
2) Kyle had cut his hair so his fringe wouldn't droop over one of his eyes. It was now short, and looked quite shaggy and messy, almost like a constant bedhead.
3) Kyle had been teaching Seto how to speak "normally," or in a slang. He also tried to "fix" Seto's posture.
"Alright Seto, how would you greet yourself to other people?"
"It would go like this: 'Greetings—'"
"You sound like a robot."
"Aren't robotics perfect machinery?"
"That's besides the point. You're too perfect, and that's bad. Instead of 'greetings,' just say 'hello.'"
"Alright, fine. 'Hello. My name is Seto Kaji. It is a pleasure to be acquaintances with you.'"
"Good. Try to sound formal but not too formal. Now onto the next thing."
"We've been at this for the past hour, can we just take a break?"
"No. You'll need to fit in. Alright, so now posture."
"Posture? My posture is already perfect!"
"Well I don't want it to be perfect. You look as straight as a pencil! Try slouching a bit."
"Slouching? That will ruin my posture!"
"Hence the point."
"Do you know how many hours I wasted as a child holding dozens of books on top of my head!"
"Just do it."
Seto cringed as he recalled last night's memory. He figured he would put himself in "danger" and make Kyle save him for a type of revenge. After all, he was perfectly capable of taking care of himself, he only chose to bring Kyle along so that he wouldn't look too suspicious among the Hybrids.
Turning onto his side once more, Seto attempted to get comfortable in bed. As he slowly shut his eyes, he abruptly heard a loud knock on his door. Groaning, he sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes while saying, "Enter."
The doorknob slowly turned, followed by Seto's white door creaking open. Kyle entered the room, a small smile planted on his face. He heard a luggage bag roll across the marble floor, followed by Kyle's soft plop on a nearby chair. The two made eye contact for a brief moment, with Kyle's eyes sparkling with excitement. Seto rolled his eyes, turning the other direction, thinking to himself. 'Of course Kyle would be excited.'
"So, I see you've packed." Kyle started off the conversation while grabbing both of Seto's luggage bags. "Why aren't you up and changed yet? We have thirty minutes before we meet your fa—"
"I mean the Headmaster," Kyle finished his own cut of sentence while nervously chuckling. "...at the Teleporters."
"I barely got any sleep as it is." Seto muttered, stretching as he turned to face Kyle. "In any other news, I heard you met with the Royal Predictors, what did they say?"
Kyle stiffed, stretching his collar. "W-Well..."
Seto took note of his behavior. "Well?"
"It's not exactly the best Prediction, actually." Kyle finished, sighing. "I can't tell you the full details for as I might be punished, but..."
"Continue." Seto managed to get out of bed. He snapped his fingers and was magically changed into his royal attire. The now brunet decided to manually make his bed.
"Future you blocked the ability to see into the future for the Royal Predictors." Kyle gulped, rubbing the back of his neck. "Which possibly means that something went wrong."
Seto froze, spluttering. "W-What?"
"It's hard to believe, I know..." Kyle sighed, turning towards the floor. "They haven't told your Father about the Prediction, but he's going to find out sooner or later."
"Why would future me do that?" Seto gritted his teeth. "Am I that idiotic in the future?"
"Knowing you..." Kyle tried to think of a reason. "I don't know. You do anything that is for your own benefit."
"Is there anything else I should know?" Seto gazed at Kyle. "You can tell my everything, I won't allow you to get punished."
Kyle's face became tinted with a light pink. He smiled, his eyes filled with tears. "Aw...you care about me?"
"This is for my own benefit, continue." Seto scolded, hitting the other in the back of the head.
"Ow!" Kyle giggled. "Anyway, there was a brief moment of the prediction before it got wiped. You and this blond were standing side by side in front of a large group and were saying something about 'Rebellion.' Then you turned around, along with the blond, and the Prediction was engulfed with Purple Flames and Golden Electricity. It exploded, killing one of the Royal Predictors and injuring two others."
"Rebellion?" Seto exclaimed. "Were you in the scene?"
"I was in the crowd, standing next to a guy with shaggy brown hair and glasses." Kyle shrugged. "I looked giddy about the situation, not trying to stop you."
"Did I say anything else?" Seto asked.
"There was also a moment where you said 'Something worth fighting for.'" Kyle rubbed the bottom of his chin, then checked his watch. "We should get going, Seto. We have fifteen minutes to travel to the Teleporters."
"Right." Seto nodded while grabbing his luggage. "Are you really sure you want to come with me?"
"It's not like I have a choice." Kyle chuckled, exiting the room with Seto. The brunette shut the door quietly, locking it with a spare key. He shoved the key into his pocket. "Besides, I don't mind going with you. I'm actually really excited to see the Hybrids in person! Also, I want to know why the situation happened in the future."
Seto sighed, following behind Kyle as the strolled out of the top floor of the castle and towards the Grand Hall. His mind was clouded, and his questions seemed to multiply in amount. Not only was he exhausted and sleep deprived, but now he was more stressed about the mission.
'Who was the blond male I was standing next to?
Why didn't Kyle interfere?
Why did my future self talk about rebellion?
What was worth protecting there?
Why would doing that action benefit me?
What did future me do?'
Seto scratched the back of his neck, making a sharp left turn. The hallway seemed to stretch longer than Seto could remember, thus making the journey to the Teleporters a bit longer than anticipated. Seto's pace quickened, along with Kyle's. Soon, walking had turned into jogging, and jogging had turned into sprinting. Seto couldn't afford to be late, especially since it had always made his Father "angry." It would be the second time Seto had been late in the week, which would drop in his own reputation. He also had to explain the massacre that took place outside. Technically no one survived, but they were all healed and revived, much to Seto's displeasure.
What seemed to be forever, Seto, and Kyle, had made it to the Teleporters. They were two minutes early, and surprisingly, Seto's Father wasn't present. The brunet clicked his tongue as he crossed his arms. He muttered quietly under his breath, "Strange."
Yet, two minutes passed and the Headmaster had shown up in all his glory. It seemed magical, for as smoke swirled around before his figure formed, followed by his actual self. He was cross armed, solemn looking as he gazed into Seto's eyes. Kyle shoved his hands in his pockets, trying not to make eye contact with the Headmaster. He was, after all, ruthless and judgmental. Kyle felt empathy for the brunet.
"I see you've changed your hair." Seto's Father started off the conversation. "I've already preset the location where you will be teleporting. I also made one of the servants call the school a month ago, posing as your Father, and in Kyle's case Uncle. You both will go under the last name Kaji, and Harvey you shall go by Seto as a first name. Seto, tell them both of your parents had died, make up whatever backstory you please."
He continued, "In addition, Seto, you will only use the magic Fire, Ice, and Wind. Kyle, you will only use Sound and Healing magic. Kyle, your backstory is that your mother and father had died in a car accident, and your 'Uncle,' had become your guardian. You shall not leave Seto alone, this includes when he uses the bathroom; just stand outside the door. You shall watch over him, always, and protect him. If I find out you do not follow these rules, I shall kill you and any relatives and friends you may have. Understood?"
Kyle gulped, beads of sweat dripping down his foreword. "U-Understood."
"Harvey." Seto's Father sternly said while turning to the brunet. "You shall stay in the School of Creation for two months. You will record data in this Sorcerery Book. It will automatically switch words around to make sure it is not understandable if a Hybrid reads it, or decides to touch it. I will also give you this amulet. I am able to call you at any moment, and I can choose to watch your surroundings at any moment I please. I will not randomly call you in class, and I will attempt to call you every night so you could report back to me."
"Understood." Seto nodded. His Father put the amulet around his neck, then gave the brunette the notebook. The amulet was in the shape of a creeper face, it also was a neon red color that could light up the darkness. The notebook was a lavender color, with the spine of the book being golden encrusted with purple swirls.
"Dismissed." Seto's Father said.
Seto and Kyle nodded as they gazed at each other, then the Teleporters. The Teleporters looked like a cylinder shower, with a glass door that swiveled open. There were four, with two opened and two closed. Kyle stepped in one, then Seto stepped in the other. The doors both closed, and the view of the Grand Hall, along with the Headmaster, was fading away to a solid blue color. Seto felt the harsh breeze pushing him upward and away from the home he knew. Shutting his eyes, he let the chill engulf him. It would take about ten minutes to travel to the School of Creation, considering it was about halfway across the world.
As he stood there, eyes shut and only feeling air, he couldn't help but think;
What if the safety of Hybrids are worth fighting for?
